I don't know why I decided to do this for Midra, that mf. But I traced a screenshot from his cutscene and I've been shading it and stuff... I've spent like 9 hours on this already ;-; It's my first time putting so much effort and detail into something. I've never drawn anything like this or colored/shaded before so pls show me mercy.

I have no idea what the consensus is on tracing screenshots for art, but obviously it should be known that this isn't my design, and that I just traced the above screenshot and then did coloring and shading myself. Credit to Fromsoft and all those involved. I have no intention on making money off of this, I just like drawing and making art purely out of my passion for Elden Ring. It's for me, but I like sharing :)

Eddie Diaz = Tarot card ?

Okay so here's the thing, (I've never posted on tumblr before so bare with me I need to get this off my chest. There's also no evidence to support my claims and most of it is paraphrased but It's 2 am and english isn't my first language)

I was gifted my first tarot deck a couple of days ago, I decided that my surface-level knowledge will no longer fly, and I wanted to get deeper into it. That's how I've come to this conclusion - Eddie Diaz is The Hierophant Reversed personified.

Well, his storyline is, at least in my interpretation.

Placed upright, the Hierophant symbolizes traditional values and institutions, conforming to traditions and protecting them, living according to religious dogmas and principles; creating traditions. It's also THE marriage and commitment card in a deck. Generally speaking, a positive card like most Upright Major Arcana cards are.

However, when the Hierophant appears in a reversed (you know, upside-down) position, it may indicate limitations imposed by clinging too rigidly to tradition or conformity. A reversed Hierophant in a reading may suggest that it is time to rethink accepted norms and rules that may no longer serve your growth or well-being. It can also be a sign that you feel trapped in a belief system that does not suit your individual needs.

Desperately clinging to old ways, having feelings of guilt and shame associated with behaving in a way that goes against the values you were brought up with (!!!), as well as not being understood by family members, who don't accept the "rebellion" against religious teachings.

In traditional Polish tarot, when it comes to relationships, the reversed Hierophant can mean three main things:

Idealization of the partner, that only leads to disappointment. It can also indicate that you and your partner are not on the same page when it comes to values and goals.

Forced marriage, and getting married for the sake of (and because of) a child (!!),

and last, but not least:

Religious beliefs and teachings that prevent finding, and getting together with, a soulmate.

Just gonna leave that one there.

I’m sorry. I have such a soft spot for this man, especially in a much more domestic situation. I also like the renditions of him being a love sick fool. It fills my heart with joy.

Edward lay beside you, limbs tangled together, bodies warm and soft against each other in the dim light filtering through his apartment bedroom window. His breaths were deep, steadying, still syncing with the remnants of your shared closeness. The world outside had dissolved into nothingness, leaving only the two of you wrapped in the quiet stillness of each other’s embrace.

His fingers traced lazy patterns along your back, gentle and unhurried, as if savoring every inch of your skin. He shifted slightly, pressing a soft kiss to your shoulder— a slow, lingering brush of his lips that held more warmth and reverence than anything he’d ever known how to say aloud.

You murmured something about dinner, and Edward’s lips curved into a small, barely-there smile against your skin. He lifted his head just enough to catch your eyes, his own gaze hazy and soft as he ran his fingers along your spine, a silent answer to the unspoken question lingering between you.

“We could order something… anything you want,” he crooned, his voice low and gentle, as if afraid to disturb the quiet that felt so precious in this moment.

Without waiting for a response, he rolled onto his back, gently guiding you with him, his fingers brushing the hair from your face. His lips found their way to your neck, trailing down, feather-light and worshipful, as he tasted the salt of your skin, breathing in your scent, committing every part of you to memory. He wanted to etch this closeness into his mind, this brief, perfect piece of time that made him feel more alive than he ever thought possible.

His kisses trailed lower, down to your collarbone, lingering at the hollow of your throat before dipping lower, tracing a line to your chest. He let out a soft sigh against your skin, his breath warm as his lips pressed against your heart, as if he could feel it beating under his touch.

You could feel his fingers curling slightly against your side, his grip soft yet protective, like he wanted to hold on to this feeling forever, to savor it, as though you might slip away if he loosened his hold. He closed his eyes, pressing one last gentle kiss over your heart before pulling you close again, his lips brushing the top of your head.

“We could… watch a movie.” he added sleepily, his words drifting off as his hand traced soft lines down your back, fingers skimming across your skin as if tracing your outline into memory. “Or anything. As long as it’s with you.”

And as the two of you lay there, chests rising and falling together in a slow rhythm, Edward felt like he could stay in this moment forever, memorizing every inch of you, living only in this quiet, tender now.

Am I the only young person that feels completely out of touch from all types of media, and just pop culture in general? Like someone will reference an insanely popular band, and I won’t know the band by name, only by their songs. 😭 Or someone will mention a celebrity that has been really popular for 10+ years, and I won’t be able to recognize them by their face, I’m just familiar with the names. I’m on social media a ton, but still don’t know who 8/10th of the popular influencers currently are, and I hardly watch movies, read books, or watch tv shows. Like I’m completely a blank slate, it’s insane, lol.

Does anyone have any book, music, tv show, or movie recs?
