see i think it would almost be the opposite

i think he’d be the one to get a lil mad. i think he’d come home and immediately want kisses and you’d refuse, not wanting to hurt him and aggravate the injury more. then he’d get mad bc “i’m not fragile and made of glass, dammit! i can handle a simple kiss!”

then you’d give him the lightest of pecks and he’d involuntarily hiss, proving your point for you. then, after that, he’d pout and mope because all he wants to do is kiss his girlfriend, but his stupid injury won’t even let him. and he overhears you talking to ellen about how painful it looks and how you’re worried about it healing correctly, so he gets all insecure and hyper aware of his lip’s purple hue.

and of course, it’s what everyone at practice would be talking about. the trainers and coaches making sure he still feels okay, his teammates looking at his lip while he’s talking instead of his eyes. so, he starts getting insecure and angry. so when he sees the camera man right beside of him, sensing when the camera is right on him, he positions his hand just so you can’t see his mouth and stands as still as he possibly can, not wanting to give anyone else a glimpse of his self proclaimed ‘pathetic’ injury,
