Rusty lit up seeing the caboose, a smile a bit too big for the taste of some in this situation. Most would wear anger at the caboose, but not Rusty, Rusty smiled. He didn't come closer though, not immediately, but he was still overjoyed to see C.B., "I guess that stuff the repair trucks gave you to keep you worn down must be wearing off. Glad to see you're up and about again...couldn't blame ya' for not remembering much...are you...doing okay?" He kept up his cheery attitude, even though the mental wounds of the races were still a bit fresh. It'd hurt to have been betrayed so aggressively and suddenly by one he'd assumed to be trustworthy. It's not exactly easy to forgive your oldest brother for hurting you in such a way...but he didn't put on any cold shoulder or anger at the moment, instead he shifted the subject to C.B.'s own well-being, it shocked him to hear that he'd been lonely lately. Surely their family had been visiting him while Rusty had been learning his new wheels? "Did Momma not come visit you much lately? Or Poppa? Or any of the others? I thought they was gonna stay with you while the workshop crew finished your repairs. That's what they told me at least."

The McCoys hadn't left the racing venue just yet due to the unfortunate events of the finale. Rusty had seen the aftermath of the crash and all at once had struggled to be angry with C.B., especially when it came to the fact that the poor caboose had been put in between two large and powerful engines right when they crashed...they'd all feared the worst for a while, so it was a delight to see C.B. in full functionality again. Though Rusty had still felt apprehension in dealing with the caboose, so he hadn't visited too often, and he'd stationed himself in one of the temporary sheds rather far from the works...perhaps visiting the shed what C.B. meant by "dropping by".

His way back snapped shut behind him with an electric zap before he could change his mind about the whole “going back to my own timeline” idea that he had cooked up not long after they successfully stopped the Krang. With a bit of ego-stroking, their resident purple-clad genius turtle had been roped into the once-thought-impossible plan to provide the means of Krow’s travel. But had they really pulled it off?

He found himself in a peculiar place: a large, dark room with an impressive chair toward the front. It certainly seemed like a different location than he planned to be. Where were the hazy crimson skies, the dusty and barren lands, the skeleton ruins of NYC’s structures? Perhaps things had changed? Hopefully for the better...

Krow quietly wandered around the room for a bit. The glowing green eyes of his battle mask darted in all directions. Not a soul in sight. It was clearly the middle of the night. As he paced, his tan cape gently swayed and his footsteps broke the otherwise eerie silence. This place seemed like the kind of room he had only heard about in stories. Maybe there was some sort of change that occurred after all.

A brief investigation of the room yielded no insightful information about where — or when — he was. But it didn’t have a good vibe. Something was not right. He kept his right hand hovered over his hip, ready to whip out his weapon at a moment’s notice.

Against his better judgment, he hesitantly called out, his voice echoing slightly in the wide open space. “Hello? Anybody here?”

There you were, sitting all pretty and gorgeous. And he didn't mind that - he loved seeing you.

The problem in question was with Ace.

The first year had been coming up to you what seemed like every day, asking you to go on a date.

And sure, Azul knew that you wouldn't agree - you weren't the type of person to do something like that - but that didn't mean that he wasn't jealous.

He knew that he didn't make your relationship that public. Sometimes holding hands, walking you to class… That was mostly it. Most of the Octavinelle students, as well as some of the second years, knew, but other than that? Hardly anyone.

And anyways, he didn't want you to get more attention than was necessary.

Maybe Ace didn't know, and that was why he was doing this… But surely Grim had told him. Unless Grim had a problem with him too…

He gritted his teeth as Ace sidled up to you again, a casual arm slipping around your shoulders. Though, a small smile crossed his lips as he saw you shake his arm off.

"C'mon, kantokusei. One date?" Ace nudged you gently, a grin on his face. "C'mon, I know you like me~"

Azul sighed softly, feeling a small pang in his chest. Perhaps Ace wasn't entirely wrong, and that was why you hadn't given him a hard no? Yes, he saw you push Ace away multiple times, tell him to stop… But obviously it hadn't been harsh enough to drive off Ace.

Still, a nagging feeling in him told him that perhaps you weren't able to be assertive enough to get Ace to listen. Maybe he should jump in…

Over the past couple of weeks, you had gradually grown uncomfortable around Ace. You viewed him as a friend - just that, nothing more and nothing less.

But he seemed to view you as something more. And that definitely made you feel less than friendly toward the first year.

Even as he tried to touch your arm again, you whacked his hand away. "Stop it, Ace."

"But-"

The orange-haired male was cut off as Azul walked up to the two of you, a casual arm wrapping around your waist as he pulled you closer to him.

"What seems to be the matter?" Azul's voice, though polite, had a bit of an edge to it. His eyes were slightly narrowed, annoyance flashing in his gaze.

"Hey, I was just being friendly toward kantokusei, and teasing them a little bit-"

"That is definitely not the case, and both of us know it. Find another person because kantokusei-san belongs to me."

Azul's voice was cold - it was pretty clear that he was at his limit.

Ace seemed to back off after that, turning and walking away. You breathed a sigh of relief before you looked at Azul.

"Thank you for that," you said softly, moving to hug him tightly.

"Of course. It's my duty as your boyfriend." Azul was glad that you were happy - it seemed he had made the right call. He would have to make sure Jade and Floyd kept a closer eye on Ace… There was no telling how he could start harassing you again.

Still, as he held you close to him, he felt himself relax. Everything was fine - you were content, you were safe, and most of all? You were his.

��� I do hope you will excuse my theatrics. The digital theatre is new to me, frees me of the discomfort I find in speaking aloud. It is quite pleasant now I've been given cause to step into the metaphoric light.

◊ Until recently, I was one of many under the banner of CORSAIR as a member of Squadron Misericorde. I was away, at the time of the fall. Perhaps that is for the best; I do not fare well in open warfare.

◊ I do however, excel in the practise of quiet conflicts. As a whisper of danger on distant winds, or a catching hum over the comms, I am a worthy dance partner. I've found some years of success employing my trade in matters of infiltration, data extraction, and the quiet removal of problems.

◊ If you would like something a little more... elaborate, perhaps with naught in the way of stage decor to clear away? I am quite happy to relay that I continue to perform with the darling @broken-lovestreak. We've always tread in tune with one another, he and I; in silent or spotlight, you won't soon forget us.

◊ As I had when taking contracts with CORSAIR, I exercise the right to decline any work I find personally disatisfactory. I will dismiss any work under SSC out of hand; my reasons are my own. Of course, Zero is his own man in that regard. Do see if he has any interest, should I pass over an offer.

This may sound a bit cheesy, but, with my abundant amount of r99 ocs, do you think that arcanist-Lamont would interact with them and what would that be like? Like a little oc crossover perhaps?

I am going to focus on Pristine. I am also interested in Lady Clef and Verdigris interactions but I would like your input for them since they’re more complex (what if we rp them or discuss their interactions hiii bats my eyes at you). Do let me know if I get OOC and feel free to correct me since you’re the creator of Pristine after all! Also here’s Lamont’s doc for a bigger glimpse on their personality since I finished their voicelines.

Let’s go:

Lamont is incredibly perceptive (and obsessive) in treating things deemed ‘unorderly’ as much as they love setting things out of order. They would notice her cracks first thing they laid their eyes on her. They love mending things they didn’t break as much as they love mending the things they broke themselves. So…

Assuming her cracks couldn’t be healed by Lamont’s prayer healing alone, they would be more than happy to treat her with a more hands-on approach. Of course, only if Pristine allows it. Flesh wounds are the main things they typically have to work with when it comes to treating others’ bodies, so Pristine’s cracks are incredibly interesting for them.

But… If she tries to hide her cracks from everyone else, why wouldn’t she hide it from this creepy practitioner? If anything, she will probably try to avoid them. Especially since Lamont is quite infamous in the for breaking stuff on purpose. Yes, they patch those things up later, almost perfectly. But the things they fixed still had to undergo the displeasure of being broken. So yeah. It’s 100% understandable if anyone tries to distance themselves from this little girlfreakthing.

HOWEVER if she does allow them to treat her and they become friends, then they would actually treat her with care. They know they shouldn’t treat others’ bodies the same way they treat inanimate objects. They recognize that her cracks wouldn’t be an easy fix since she’s not just any ceramic vase. They’ll try various ways; From medications usually used to treat flesh — to a more craftsmanlike approach by using glue or spot epoxy. They’ll do whatever it takes until she’s completely spotless. And if the cracks do occur again, they’d gladly keep doing it over, and over, and over again.

They can be quite a talkative person so they may be a yapper to her unprompted throughout the process. A gentle, meticulous, and curious yapper. They would tell her so many things about their time in boarding school, about their patrons, or some random fun fact. And they would also be genuinely be interested in her own origins.

Lamont is quite the jack of all trades — Great with ceramic arts, tailoring, medicine, and countless other skills they picked up due to their obsession with fixing (and breaking) things. They’d go out of their way to help her discover a hobby if she haven’t found any, teaching her stuff and seeing what sticks. They could be a bad influence if they ever teach her any destructive skills, though.

More things I headcanon if they become buddies:

Lamont teaches Pristine how to summon and make connections with various cosmic entities. For fun. It’s basically a way to get more arcane skills with little need of, you know, actually practicing said arcane skill. Lamont would note that Pristine has a lot of potential due to her almost ‘blank slate’ condition. But an entity would struggle to ‘borrow’ a part of her body since she’s likely not of the same material as the entity (flesh). She won’t end up monstrous like Lamont did.

The fixer becomes the fixed. Lamont got hurt somehow and their healing prayer couldn’t help them this time (they may have angered their patron). It’s Pristine’s turn to help Lamont out. She may try the tricks they used on her before, except for the glue one because of course that wouldn’t work on Lamont’s flesh. Lamont wouldn’t guide her and quit yapping for once since they’re really interested in seeing what she’ll do for them. It’s a rare chance for them to experience some mending on themselves by others, or a chance to see how bad Pristine fucks up and tease her about it.

Lamont picks up some of Pristine’s old english talking mannerisms, meanwhile Pristine picks up some of Lamont’s Indonesian greetings (since that is the only Indonesian words Lamont remembers, outside of the curse words).

Toxic yuri (probably in a platonic/familial way since idk if Pristine is an adult or ace or not) situationship where purposefully orchestrate dangerous situations that’ll ensure Pristine cracking just to spend more time with her. OR Pristine herself gets cracks on purpose, knowing that Lamont would not turn down a chance to tinker with her, even if Lamont knows that she did it to herself. Actually, Lamont may actually be happy about that (😭 WHY ARE THEY SO WEIRD).

Starting a RP blog 101

1. Setting it up

So, you want to make an RP blog... Well, you've come to the right place!

To start off, you need to decide between opening up a side blog or making an entirely new account! If you make a side blog, you have complete and quick access to both your main account and other side blogs with a click of your finger, but you won't be able to send asks or like posts from your RP account. Instead, you would like things with your main account and send anon asks with a sign-off ( i.e. - @respect-the-hyphen ). As for a different account, you get access to both of those things, but it would take longer for you to switch between your main and RP. Personally, I made a side blog since I run many, many blogs and would like to quickly sift between all of them. This is entirely up to you, though!

Now, let's talk about setting the stage for your RP escapades. Your username should reflect the essence of your character or the theme of your RP universe. I personally chose respect-the-hyphen because I adore how pressed comic Peter gets over this. Your title should also reflect your blog, and you description can be anything from literally nothing to a long introduction. Your profile picture and banner should be eye-catching and give visitors a taste of what to expect from your RP. Think of them as the opening credits to your RP story.

As for your inquiry about choosing someone not taken, don't worry about that. No one cares if you become someone already taken; there's always room for interpretation and creativity. Just be yourself and have fun exploring the character's personality!

2. Getting out there

When you're ready to dive into RPing, consider creating an introduction post. This can include a brief bio of your character, their motivations, and what kind of interactions you're looking for. It's a great way to signal to other RPers that you're open for business! This is your chance to showcase your creativity and set the stage for epic storytelling.

After that, start interacting with other RPers by liking, reblogging, and commenting on their posts. Plus, make sure to add a few posts of your own into your arsenal. I set up a queue to post twice a day at prime time. When you start getting asks, I recommend answering a few every day or so and sticking them into queue so you have content for a while if you get busy. Queues are very, very useful

I promise it'll go alright. There are no rules for RPing. Just be creative and be you. Headcanons, original characters, and more are all welcome.

Remember, RPing is all about collaboration and storytelling. Have fun exploring your character's personality, engaging in interactions with other characters, and building memorable storylines. And most importantly, don't be afraid to be yourself and let your creativity shine!
