EEEEYYY! Guess who started playing LOTRO? Yours truly! This will be my first ever MMORPG, isn't that exciting?

I wasted no time making my hobbit OC Aster Coltsfoot my player character. Isn't she cute? Look, I gave her a huge hat!

Additional in-game backstory under the cut!

I know the timing is somewhat off, but I like to think she went into the starting quest on the way back from her adventure of going to Rivendell to return Bilbo his Mithril coat. She got a taste for adventures after it - as I've noticed tends to happen to Hobbits once they actually try the thing out.

She was captured by Blackwold brigands near Archet and saved by Amdír, but he was wounded by a morgul blade in the process. They dragged themselves to Archet, so he could recover, and soon, after sending a letter, Strider showed up to help.

The Rangers kept calling her a Guardian, until eventually she had to clarify that she wasn't a warrior class, just the Guardian of the mathoms, the one responsible for the Mathom-House.

Amdír apologized, between laughing about his own misunderstanding, weak as he was. However, Aster decided that, since she was gonna travel more, she thought it couldn't hurt to at least learn how to defend herself.

Only after the massacre in Archet did she decide to learn how to properly wield a sword. She would never again let a friend perish in front of her.

There's a celebration dedicated to some wealthy 'who-the-hell-cares' for some 'I-sure-don't' reason being held tonight which drew in almost all the bigwigs in this city and their security, leaving their homes unattended~"

As she sing-songs the final word, she shoots Charlie a wink and a V sign.. although that and her victorious smile quickly drop.

"...It was quite boring actually.." she continues, sounding genuinely let down. "Guess I could've gone to Le Wow for some fancy food and empty some more pockets.. You know how much I adore fat cats.. Buuut I think I'd rather be here with some actual good music and company~"

Broom in hand, she gives Beat a small salute as she brushes the countertop, followed by Bonnie - looking much less enthused - who wiped away any remaining dust. As they clean up, Kita grows very quiet, a stark contrast to her usual exuberant persona. But as the gentle music replaced the silence, a melodious yet solemn voice escapes from Kita's lips to sing along to the tune..

"People come and they go~ some people may stay with you though~ I am all alone tonight and I kept on asking myself questions~"

Charlie lets out a low, bemused whistle as Kita flashes the evening's dazzling earnings, the collection of stolen jewels gleaming in her grip. The humble musician was never one for the glitz and glamour of the high life, but he can still admire spoils like this (especially since Charlie knows how dialed-in Kita has to be to pull off her nightly heists without getting caught. It's far from easy work.)

"...Sounds like an alright plan to me," he agrees with a grin, cracking his knuckles before holding open Fortune's back door for the elusive thief. "Help's always appreciated. I suspect old man Beat will put you to right to work."

And right on cue, the elder Farfetch'd in question waddles up to the cafe's familiar guests, holding out a small broom to Kita before (reluctantly) offering a small rag to Bonnie. His wary, stern look says everything without speech: behave. (If one listens closely enough, they can hear Riff snoring softly up in the shop's rafters.)

The melody of a late-night jazz record wafts softly through the cozy space. Charlie hums along absentmindedly, already rearranging tables and chairs for tomorrow's crowd.

"That's a big haul for one night, even for you," he remarks with a casual wink back at Kita. "There a special gala or fundraiser going on? The boulevard was looking extra wild today." He laughs, rubbing the back of his head. "Le Wow was so busy that all their usual fat cats started landing in here. Not my crowd, honestly..."
