sorry to say but i do actually think the focus tlovm puts on showing the workings and backgrounds of npcs is actively taking away from one of the main things that made campaign 1’s story compelling (notably. vox machina and their bonds with each other beyond the people they’re in love with)

The fact of the matter is billy IS an extremely woman-coded character and all it takes is looking at how his narrative around sex and sexuality is portrayed like he gets a very classically female coded (especially within the horror genre) narrative but people just get mad when you bring it up because he’s a “terrible character who deserves bad things happening to him” which is enough to unpack in itself but also maybe y’all should inspect why you’re so quick to call Nice Guy characters woman-coded or just characters you personally like….

But also the fact I’ve seen firsthand people get mad that we say billy is woman-coded is so beyond hysterical that even if I didn’t have these thoughts already I’d start believing them just out of spite

I can’t stop thinking about Moonlight Cheren.

Specifically with the line bottom three lines

Someone who desires to make a mark on the world, be remembered, chasing after the back of people so much more remarkable such as Hilbert. He wants to feel desired, he wants to write his name down in history books, and team plasma, Zinzolin specifically, extends that branch to him and takes advantage of his imposter syndrome, gaslighting him into thinking Hilda and Bianca are working against him specifically.

He wants to be a part of the modern legend, he wants to be the one to write down what he sees, and eventually get involved first hand. He wanted to be champion at first but when that feels out of reach he tries something that seems more feasible via that extended reach by Plasma and Zinzolin. He resorts to extreme measures to just get a TASTE of that mark. And when Hilbert steps in he takes it against an attack against him, and betrays him so he can continue tasting this success, assisting Team Plasma in keeping him locked away so he can’t interfere with fate.

He feels like he’s burning bright and alive like this, in this legend, and doesn’t want it taken away from him, going back to being freezing solid cold, empty.

And yet he does.
