You know, all of the incessant doomwanking about the end of RWBY gets even funnier when we remember it hasn't even been TWO MONTHS since the shutdown of Rooster Teeth and we already have news about RWBY's new home.

Like in terms of beloved shows being cancelled/revived, this is less 'dead body being resurrected' and more like people acting like you're dead when you're just dozing off for five minutes XD

Volume 10 and/or 11 Theory: Salem, through Jax and Gillian, will sow divisions among the refugees by way of Faunus discrimination.

It's a classic tactic as seen with how capitalism feeds off of immigrants yet has white people blame them for "taking their jobs." It would be a good way to show Blake stepping up to grow up more into a civil leader and to show the White Fang maybe being the heroes if we follow up on Ilia's text from Ghira. Tackle the complexities of racial prejudice a lot better than Beacon did.

I say this because so many claim that Blake's been ruined by Bumblebee or that Atlas's fall ruined her character potential to be so sort of rebel leader. Well... here's a perfectly good place for her to tackle it with Atlesians forced to rub elbows with Faunus from Mantle. That's a recipe for disaster if the V9 epilogue is any indication.

Some pre-epilogue thoughts I had about a slightly timeskipped Vacuo Oscar (not sure how long RWBYJ was gone canonically, but my personal conjecture was around 8 months?). Based off the idea I had that the Vacuo crew chooses to add some element of their lost-and-presumed-dead friends into their everyday attire, whether their colors or symbols or both, to honor their memories.

- etched his lost companions’ symbols into the leather upper of his once-coat-now-vest: Jaune and Ruby are over his right and left breasts respectively, Penny is left shoulder, Yang is right, Blake and Weiss are on his back (Blake is next to Yang’s symbol, naturally). Ruby’s over his heart because I’m Rosegarden trash yes BUT ALSO he’s closer to her and Jaune than any of the rest so they’d get top billing regardless amirite

- removed the sleeves and tails of his coat and let out the sides, both to accommodate the climate and his own growth spurts in the time passed.

- sleeveless gloves for less sweaty fingers

-undercut maybe? I see y’all’s Vacuo Ponytail Oscars, and they are Powerful, but I raise you ‘an Oscar who doesn’t want extra hair on his neck when it’s a bajillion degrees out’

- not pictured: maybe a hip-length tan cloak and goggles for sun/sandstorm protection as necessary

What if when Raven comes back (Come on V10!) we get a team-up/mission between just her and Ruby, paralleling the secret mission she went on with Summer that we saw in V9C10

So much potential

Raven being uncomfortable because she sees so much of Summer in Ruby, and also her trying desperately not to speak of what happened with Summer, but also a growing desire in Raven to protect her other daughter the last piece of her friend (lover?)
