I support comprehensive sex education, free contraception, and accessible sterilization to prevent abortions the same way I support flossing and regular teeth cleaning to prevent root canals and teeth fillings. It’s better to prevent needing a medical procedure than to need one, though if you need a medical procedure you should be able to easily get it.

Pro-lifers typically belong to a party who value "freedom" but only "freedom" in THEIR terms and for those of their own demographic, displaying a fucked up sense of a moral compass, thinking that their opinion is of the moral highground and anyone else's isn't. The same party that also tends to be anti-BLM. Once again, they're for freedom as long as "freedom" applies to those of their own demographic. Hypocrites.

And if you already know what party I'm referring to without me having to specify a name and you're offended, then I don't have to do much explaining 😎

Those who are anti-choice are the first to think they're right about their ideas of "freedom"; they're the first to complain about a kid crying in the grocery store, saying how they could have raised that kid so much better; calling women who chose to raise their kid no matter the environment and circumstance "whores" and "sluts," despite that woman choosing LIFE; they're the first to point out how a woman is not balancing career, motherhood, and the household perfect enough; and THEY will also be the first to complain about raised tax rates due to a future without abortions that involve supporting over-flowing foster homes and financial assistance for the struggling mother who - guess what? - chose LIFE.

You're not wanting higher taxes, you don't want so many single mothers "abusing" the system. Well guess what? This is what a future looks like when you ban abortions completely. You guys are literally fucking yourselves in the ass.

And for the record, don't force me to take on an 18+ year, $233,610 obligation and expect me to SMILE about it; don't be shocked if I'm not the best mother and that I will not play the role of the self-sacrificing mother figure to appease your fucking standards.

You are not "pro-life," you are pro-forced-birth. Fuck you.

I was just in the shower and I was thinking about this. You know how I know that pro lifers dont actually care about life? Here's just one example of many, from my experiences with them:

I frequently pose a hypothetical to pro lifers, in which I state that if my rapists had gotten me pregnant, I would commit suicide if I couldn't access abortion. Carrying to term is never an option provided in this hypothetical, because I know my own limits and I know I'm not mentally capable of doing that. I ask them, which is the better, more ethical option: one death (abortion) or two (suicide)?

Out of the nearly 50 pro lifers I've posed this hypothetical to, roughly only 5 of them have replied saying that in that case, they'd "allow" me to have the abortion.

The rest all take it upon themselves to try and persuade me that carrying to term should be my only option, despite me already saying that isnt something I would ever want to do.

The few who say they'd "allow" me to have the abortion, I then ask "Why? What's the difference between a fetus conceived in rape and one conceived in consensual sex?" To which they never have an answer. Because answering it would betray the fact that they don't actually care about the life of the fetus, but only how it came into being.

The rest, however, tend to resort to victim blaming and/or slut shaming when they realise that even with all the resources they claim would help me, I'm still not interested in keeping my rapists' baby. Thus proving, once again, that its not actually about the life of the fetus for them either.

Pro lifers are liars. They're very good liars. They've lied so consistently to others that they've even managed to convince themselves.

If you ever want to watch the process of indoctrination and brainwashing up close, talk to a pro lifer. (Particularly those who claim to have been pro choice before becoming pro life.)

If I am in customer service where we are yelled at and/or cursed at every single day and I STILL haven't jumped over the counter to beat someone's ass, why the fuck do I have more self-control than a cop? Me? A normal civilian?

If you are a trained "professional" who is supposed to understand the importance of having immediate access to firearms and blunt force weapons and given a role to protect civilians but you have the biggest egotistical response (hit them/kill them) to criticism and a knee-jerk fear-response to someone who is potentially (or not at all) dangerous...should I really consider you "trained"?

Are you really, truly cut out to "protect" me? Am I supposed to believe that you are somehow more entitled or better trained to judge response to stressful situations than I?

Because, from what I'm seeing so far, your judgment on when to use brute force and how to utilize it for different situations really sucks.
