Note
Jekyll & Hyde by FantasticPlanets? It's explicitly about a system. It's not the most accurate and leans into negative stereotypes, but it's an old song with a special space in my heart and the only song I can think of that shows innersystem relationships. cw for murder, suicide, sex and flashing lights
In the q, will be posted today
Hi anon! We've been debating if we should post this song for a while. Obviously it has some glaring issues in regards to representation but it does hold a special place in our heart as well. It's one of the first songs that we listened to about DID, it explicitly shows inner system relationships and the realistic tuning is outstanding (especially as this was made in 2014).
Anyway, it'll be posted in a few hours.

System and positive songs: Be Calm by fun.
youtube
'I've reclaimed the use of my imagination for better or for worse, I've yet to know, but I always knew you'd be the one to understand me // I guess that's why it took so long to get things right. // Suddenly I'm lost // On my street // On my block.'
-
Trigger warnings for this song and video:
Lyrics linking to paranoia
The album art has a picture of a gun
-
Why is this song featured on this blog:
The song is a positive song about someone singing to someone else to 'be calm' and remember that they aren't alone.
This could be seen in a system way as the lyrics are from the pov of someone who is panicking and then someone assuring them.

System songs: マネマネサイコトロピック (Fake Fake Psychotropic) - Kairiki Bear ft Gumi
youtube
'Wait a moment, what's this!? Look, Where's the fake? // They're not here here here. I don't know // A fake, fake, imitation, Have you stolen the place I belong? // As you play around disguised as me // Ah, you look exactly like me, there's almost no difference'
-
Trigger warnings for this song and video:
The video has flashing and flickering imagery.
Identity confusion
-
Why is this song featured on this blog:
I'll just quote the song's background:
'The song follows GUMI, a very stressed girl who can't handle the stress of life anymore. The song begins with her complaints about how she has lost her motivation and just can't keep up with her life anymore and she prays for another of her to help. Suddenly a girl that looks like her appears on her phone screen and answers her prayers. GUMI is ecstatic to have a clone of herself. She is at first very happy but eventually as more clones are born they start completely taking over her life and it's impossible to tell who the fake even is anymore. At this point GUMI removes the scrunchie which reveals that she herself is just a clone while the 14th her laughs and says there never was an original. The song ends with GUMI lamenting her fate and apologizing to God for cheating at life.'

System songs: Dissociative Mind by Ruely
youtube
'How long have I been, a prisoner in my own mind // I forgot the feeling to be touched by you // Illusions cloud my eyes again // In my disconnected life'
-
Trigger warnings for this song and video:
There are lyrics that briefly mention self-harm (cutting)
The lyrics also link heavily to dissociation
There is some distorted parts, I personally did not find them jarring or upsetting, but just incase I'm mentioning them.
-
Why is this song featured on this blog:
As the name suggests, the song is about dissociation and the feeling of being someone else in your own body.
It has a really good beat and I like the drop and the way it distorts occasionally to represent the feeling of dissociation.

Also we're starting two new series! We haven't settled on a name but rn it's the 'relatable song' series. It's just songs that people with CDD's may be able to relate to despite them not being directly linked to CDD (for example songs about trauma, or attachment issues, ect)
The second series is the positivity song series, for songs that give you and your system hope and positivity on bad days.
I hope you continue to enjoy this blog :D

Dissociative Mind by Ruely
(Feel like the song title makes it self explanatory as for why it ties into dissociation lol)
In the q, will be posted tomorrow
I was genuinely surprised to see that this song is from 2018. I expected it to be more recent, also the producer seems to be underrated, so thank you for introducing us to them.

Note
What is it with vocaloid songs and being so relatable to systems
It's them gosh darn 'loids that have 5 alternative designs and different voices. Their system power captivates the masses.

Update: We need more to add to the q! If you can send in some suggestions
Remember that it doesn't need to be wholly about a CDD, any somg you enjoy that can even be slightly linked is good!
And with that all requests are complete! I'll start adding some of my own personal songs now. Thank you for your patience and support!

System songs: あなたしか見えないの (All I Can See Is You) by r-906 ft Hatsune Miku
youtube
'But like, // You don't even know yourself, but I know you. // Either way, because I love you all.'
-
Trigger warnings:
Flashing and flickering images
-
Why this song is featured on this blog:
This song is about someone who knows someone with a CDD, the song is about how they love their friend and their alters, hoping that one day they will all see this.
There's also a light novel written by r-906 that tells the whole story, and this links into the lyrics of this song. An explanation to this can be found here.
Edit: The name of the novel is the same as this song, however in english its known as diaLOG.

System songs: Hero by Mili
youtube
'Successful or not, I am who I am // I am my biggest fan // I am my biggest fan // I am my enemy and my friend'
-
Trigger warnings for this song and video:
The lyrics deal with identity confusion
There is repeating lyrics
-
Why is this song featured on this blog:
This song is a fansong for the game 'Limbus company', I am not familiar with the game or characters so I can't comment on the backstory.
However the songs lyrics are something I can really relate to personally, they sometimes reference things like experiences that the singer has never had, 'leaving reality behind' and being in 'two' sides (ie an 'enemy and friend').
