A while back my dad (an airplane mechanic) got the lifelike airplane flying game. He bought the whole airplane yolk and everything. Only problem is he hasn’t played in a hot minute and his Xbox account won’t let him in so he had to use mine

Now he’s getting pissed off because now he can’t fly the plane he’s actually fixing at his work.

It really helped me after I was in a psych ward; funnily enough I had tried watching it prior to my going and I couldn’t get past episode one. Afterwards, I was less scared and felt more seen than before. Shocker lol

Thursday 12: Francine Boyle~ Broccoli and cheddar soup with grilled cheese

Francine is one of my favorites, so she gets one of my favorite recipes. I like the idea Francine enjoys a little spice in her food; so the soup would have like, a touch of ancho chilly powder.

The sandwich would be this specific rosemary bread a local baker in my town makes and cheddar cheese.

Wednesday 11th: Eddie McKenna~ fish and chips

Fish felt like something Eddie would vibe with ngl. Something pretty simple and fairly easy to get while at lunch (I think it would be kind of funny if Eddie had an intolerance to shellfish but not just fish)

I’d be extra and hand-bread the fish and fry the chips myself because I could

Sorry these aren’t super long and detailed, I’ve been finishing up finals and haven’t really had a lot of time to ‘in-depth’ these ideas. I will however, flush them out more hopefully someday in the future🍳

Tuesday 10~Rosalie Garrity: hard boiled eggs

Rambles!

At first I imaged Rosalie with a salad but it didn’t sit right, and then eggs popped into my brain and it clicked. She feels like the kind of character who’d help make the food at ST Jude’s, I imagine her washing the produce and making sure all the equipment is properly sanitized.

With hard boiled eggs, Rosalie gives off 12 minute done eggs; where they’re soft but not gummy and a dash of salt and pepper if she’s feeling adventurous.

When I think of Fergus my brain keeps going to “that’s a guy who enjoys red meat” but I think I’m projecting because the engineering part reminds me of my dad.

But because this is not about my dad, I also see Fergus as vegetarian (As someone with psychosis, there have been many days where I’ve had to not eat any form of meat) so I chose a dish I just imagine him getting while out and about being the ingredients are fairly cheap and it doesn’t take long to make depending on how fancy you want to get

takin' over the asylum fandom... it's that time again

as some of you might remember, this time last year @jaykinarts and i hosted an event called TOTA takeover.

the aim of the event was to fill the takin over the asylum tag with a wider variety of posts - particularly focusing on the less appreciated characters. it spanned over one week, with each day focusing on a specific character/theme.

this year, i am hoping to run the event once more -- for the second ever TOTA takeover.

the schedule for this year, starting next week (9th-14th), is as follows:

TOTA TAKEOVER

monday 9th -> fergus mackinnon

tuesday 10th -> rosalie garrity

wednesday 11th -> eddie mckenna

thursday 12th -> francine boyle

friday 13th -> campbell bain

saturday 14th -> takin' over the asylum/donna franceschild

Thanksgiving dinner was alright, I got to crash a friends place because my parents were out of the country 💅
