10 essentials for the minimalist weekender

I split my time between two cities- sometimes three, and travel on weekends if there is a workshop to attend.  And as much as I strive to be a minimalist, I am not there yet. However, due to my laziness in packing and unpacking, I can sometimes be a quasi minimalist weekender.

Here are 10 essentials I pack on every weekend trip. I know, ten sounds excessive, but trust me- it's a lot less than what I packed in my former life in my twenties.

1. Go Getter Bag from Lululemon

This bag is large enough to fit three to four different outfits + accessories, toiletries, yoga mat, yoga strap, dog stuff(my dogs travel with me), a macbook, camera, some books, and then some. It also served me well at a meeting where I packed a box full of soap bars, salves, oils, different sized tins, and six 4-ounce bottles of essential oils. It was great that I could fit everything in one bag, and had room for more. I initially hesitated to purchase it due to some negative reviews, but honestly I was in need of a multipurpose weekender bag for work/ fitness/ and travel that didn't make me look like I was traveling somewhere for the weekend. I needed a multifunctional weekender.
