I'm looking specifically for ones where Bucky doesn't know gay marriage is legal at the start of the fic. These do exist, but are generally Stucky (+Steve POV) and not Sambucky, though I have found a few Sambucky ones. I think you meant 11,000+ Sambucky fics in general, but if you mean what I had actually asked maybe slide the tags I should search my way? 😊

I realise my re-blog was probably a little vague, but the original post is about Sambucky and not knowing gay marriage was legal, so I thought my omitting that would be fine, didn't even think about it, sorry T0T (Or sorry x2 if you knew what I meant, I think my post sounds kind of rude if you already knew? I'm bad at tones but this isn't meant to be rude, it's hard to sound nice over text 😓���)

Does Bucky know it's legal now? Has anybody told him?

Editing tip: If your screen recorder is ass, chances are Internet Archive will let you download the scenes of your show, as they, yknow, archive it. You will need to download the ENTIRE movie or show before you trim it, and sometimes the archive might not have it, but it has pretty good quality and doesn't take much hassle.

Tutorial below, but you probably can figure it out

For reference:

It's much easier to look up the show or movie on google or whatever you use instead of the archive itself, usually it's just the first link. If it's a show you just have to sort through which episode and season you want

Next clicking the 'archive.org' website link, you'll get brought to the films page

Boom! You see that right there? Download options? I click the first option, but if you want to try the others go ahead, haven't tested them but if your curious..

It'll take you to a separate page with the video, click the three dots and it will let you download the entire movie/episode.

Now just put it in your editing software and you have all the clips you could possibly need in acceptable quality! If you can, Please donate to the lovely Internet Archive for it's work!

Note: I SWEAR I watch my movies legally. I just so happen to want to make edits as well, and my screen recorder is terrible. Don't get mad at me corporate

Whitewashing in art sucks, obviously talked about a lot but it's so annoying.. This definitely includes facial features, not just skin tone, but the skin tones are less excusable- IT'S A COLOUR- YOU CAN LITERALLY COLOUR DROP IT. PLEASE. It's even worse when they don't think they're whitewashing them. Like I don't think they realise you can draw black skin and it can still be considered whitewashing depending on how light you make said black skin. The person who made art that triggered this post responded to someone who asked about it and said,

"I respect your opinion, but I made the characters as true to form as I possibly could while still trying to add my own style to them. He is not white in my video. He may not be as dark as you think he should be, but he's not white."

I think people shouldn't make a characters skin tone lighter than it is for the sake of stylization (or for any reason, really). It especially sucks when it's referencing an actors rendition of a character. That's just plain disrespectful.

'Not tryna hate' No I am. Fully hating. That's a shitty thing to do, and saying you didn't or the tones are 'close enough' makes me wonder if you're blind. I don't care if their unaware, people shouldn't get to hide behind their idiocy and ignorance.

Yeah! They were three years apart, Sara was only 9 so she wasn't aggressively held back in regards to development. If her mom just locked tf in Sara would probably live a mostly normal (albeit maybe a bit junkie) life. Alas Sara's mom decided watching the sex tape was more important😔
