i have given thought to this. he would in fact be a recurring character, a rival show choir teacher from some other school in ohio. he would be schuester’s worst enemy, and for once schue and sue would join forces because they both hate this guy so much and want him to fall to his doom. (but sue eventually double-crosses.) he is shelby corcoran’s ex and it turns out he’s rachel’s biological father, and that episode would be just insanely problematic for a multitude of reasons.
