Yay! Another new chapter! I have been so excited for the Aquamarine/The Trial Arc. I’m positive the only reason Steven beat Bluebird and Aquamarine so easily in SUF is because of time constraints. Aquamarine was so strong in SU that she took down Alexandrite. She was also capable of simultaneously freezing all humans, crystal gems, and Steven without straining her powers. If Jasper could defeat SUF Steven, then Aquamarine also should’ve been a threat to SUF Steven. So, enjoy dangerous Aquamarine! Also, if you’re wondering who Jam is, Connie came up with a codename since they can’t call her Connie right now in case Aquamarine overhears. This chapter also time skips a bit between events that happened in the previous chapter. Y'all may want to re-read that so you know when the events are happening in this chapter.

I'm gonna be going on a small hiatus until July because I have a big exam in July. Since you won't be getting a June chapter, I've made this chapter longer to compensate. Almost 3500 words! I hope y'all enjoy it!

Saw this post last year and slowly started writing a story for it. I can't believe this has stuck with me for so long, but here's the story, lol. I waited until the story was almost done to post so I don't get stuck in story limbo.

Danny needs a few...odd things. A few dietary and emotional requirements unique to his physiology. Meat is one of them.

But like, raw meat. He doesn't have to eat it often, maybe twice a month, but it does need to be completely raw.

He also needs to eat non-sentient blob ghosts, which are very different from sentient ones. Same amount, maybe twice a month.

He's weak to hot temperatures, where most humans require some sort of positive contact he needs to fight, if he gets too much sunlight his dopamine levels drop, and oddly enough as he got older milk or products with a lot of milk started to affect him like alcohol affects humans.

Now that he's made it to college, hiding most of these things is easy enough.

He chose Gotham, because of minimal sunny days and naturally cold weather. He regularly goes for walks at night, to fill his need for fighting. He says he has a milk allergy, and avoids milk products.

The blobs and the raw meat are a little uh. Those are a little hard.

He's taken to ducking into a bathroom stall to just swallow the blobs whole. But the meat...

He decides to sear the outside and leave the inside entirely raw. Does this detract from the nutrients by cooking them off? Yes. Does it mean he needs to eat raw meat four times a month instead of twice? Yes. Does it mostly hide that he's doing this in front of humans? Kind of.

Until he got a vegan roommate.

Said roommate is far too sharp-eyed for his own good, and now the guy is being weird.

Or: Damian's roommate is a meta who clearly has dietary restrictions outside the norm. It's fine; Damian understands that like animals in the wild, people have different diets. But the cuts of meat Fenton is eating are...subpar. Damian isn't sure how to be...civil, or appear polite, or not be a "snob" if he suggests Fenton allow him to procure farm fresh cuts of steak from cows raised in an open pasture and were well taken care of.

What other word could he use to describe the deplorable garbage quality of meat that his vampire roommate considers adequate sustenance? At this point, Damien is tempted to offer himself to Danny so that he doesn’t have to see Danny eat another steak that is more processed and bacteria-ridden than their school.

Finally! Dear me, it took so long to finally make it but we are here at the Aquamarine Arc! I’m so happy to be here. I’ve dreamed about how I wanted to handle this arc for so long. Now I can finally share my version of following events instead of straining not to spoil anything! Hoping to update monthly, but we'll see how things go. Graduation year so things are crazy right now. Thank goodness I pre-wrote this chapter back in the beginning of February. See y'all in April for the next update!

Making progress in actually posting, though sporadic! Things have been busy but I have not forgotten this story. If anything, I'm getting more excited because I've been dreaming about how I want to handle the Aquamarine arc for years. I want to drop this chapter first though. I didn't want to post a Twoie's family's reaction to his disappearance until I posted the prequel. I really wanted to include a song in this chapter but I couldn't get it to work with the way I wanted to write this chapter, so just know I was listening to this female cover of How to Save a Life by The Fray while I was writing this. It will probably be a bit before I post another chapter, but I'll try to write it when I get the time. Maybe in a couple of months since things are still really busy right now. Hope you all are doing well!

And here is the last and longest chapter! Almost 5000 words, but I couldn't bring myself to separate it. I am hoping to update Templeschool Office Hours this week, and then I'll go back to sporadic updates. I have not given up on my stories. I will work update them eventually. Here's the second chapter! Longer than the first and another time point in Steven's life leading up to his appearance in Templeschool. These chapters are a bit more disjointed since it's hints of Steven's mental state leading up to his discovery of the hourglass. This was the idea that I couldn't let go, so I did have to retcon Templeschool because originally my story happened before Prickly Pair. Not much changes, but I will go back and eventually edit it.

Hey, everyone! I'm so sorry for not updating in so long. Things have been so busy for me that even though I have been wanting to work on my pending stories, I just haven't had the time. To everyone waiting for Templeschool: Office Hours to update, I have NOT given up on that story. I got so busy for a while, then lost my motivation to write. Recently I felt that motivation return, stronger than ever, and jumped on the chance to finish this prequal. I've had it sitting in my files since last March. Since I've gotten to a point where I feel like I'm not finishing my stories, I decided I wouldn't post it until I completely finished it. The whole story is written. I just need to edit it and then I will post the next chapter. This is my apology for being gone for so long. Thank you everyone who has read my story and continued to wait for me to update it. Who’s really the one in charge

No heroes know how John Constantine came into contact with this kid but it seems to be for the best. He took into count his own life more now that he also had to look after this kid. The kid being named Danny. No one knows his last name, not even Batman can track down his past. He’s a nice enough kid who doesn’t hesitate to help in anyway he can. Danny is also obviously a meta who has access to magic. It makes him unpredictable and a hell of a fighter.

They weren’t attached by the hip you can see one without the other but John seemed less pissy with the kid there. It was also easier getting into contact with the magic user with Danny dragging him to meetings.

The League at first didn’t understand their relationship because they seemed to be constantly bickering over something but with further observations they realized that’s just how the duo is. No one thought John Constantine of all people would take on a sidekick, no one thought he would even be able to stand a kid, but here they were in a middle of a fight and John took his time teaching Danny a new spell. They were still arguing though.

“I just don’t see the point.”

“The point is this is a shield spell to stop attacks.”

“But I can make my own shields.”

“And what if you can’t?”

“But I can.”

“But what if-”

“Oh my godddd you’re so annoying I can just do this,”

Danny formed a ginormous green dome over all heroes present as the newest bad guy threw an attack  at them. The heroes looked at the teen to see something feral in his eyes and smile. All of a sudden he wasn’t as human as they thought. Smile to wide with too many teeth and eyes to bright. “You do know this is just a demon right? I can make him back down.” John sighed as if this was a regular occurrence. “I’m trying to teach you to not rely on your powers and trust in your magic.” Danny scoffed at him. “As if you can teach me anything old man.”

“Old man? Really? Who here is an immortal eldritch being?”

“And who here is going grey?”

For the first time the heroes are wondering who’s really in charge here.

Bruce Wayne, on live TV, gets asked who his favorite superhero is. As soon as that question leaves the reporters mouth, Bruce feels his stomach drop. He can’t pick himself, his kids would mock him for days, and he can’t pick any of his kids, as the other ones would probably poison him, and he can’t pick any of the other JL members without them mocking him-

All of a sudden, Bruce’s mind flashes to a small town hero whose profile he had been reading over in his afternoon board meeting. “My favorite hero is Phantom from Amity Park. Not many people know him, but I really admire him and his dedication to the job.”

There, short and sweet and probably going to end with the least amount of mockery.

Meanwhile, in Amity Park, three teenagers gaped at the screen as their homework lay forgotten in their laps. “Danny-”

“what is happening.”

“That was Bruce Wayne-”

“WHAT IS HAPPENING???”
