Beautiful Brows Kit
I bought this Beautiful Brows kit when I went to the trade beauty show at London Excel February 2013 and I am thrilled with it! Its fabulous I am so happy that I bought it.
Whats included:
Eyebrow powder (in your choice of shade, comes in 5 colours)
Eyebrow Highlighter
Duo applicator brush
Highlighter brush
Stencil set (3 stencils including sleek, natural, bold)
Tweezers
This set is priced at £38
First of all, how great does the packaging look!!?? I love it and I think it looks super expensive and its lovely to be able to carry it around in my make-up bag all in one compact. The compact opens out so that the stencils, brushes and tweezers are kept underneath the powders which flip up for easy access which is handy because as the powders are stuck there they won’t fall off and get lost when I am in a hurry.
Secondly another thing that is so great about it is that the powders for both the eyebrow and the highlighter are refillable so should you run out of the powder or you change your hair colour you can just purchase the powder again instead of buying a whole new set. The brush and tweezers that are included are of such a high quality. I am so impressed with the tweezers they are the best pair that I own. I was planning on buying tweezerman ones but I won’t need to now that I have bought this set.
There are 3 stencils included which are sleek, natural and bold. This caters for everyone depending on what look you want and what your natural brow shape is. I have been using natural as bold is too much and sleek is not quite enough for me.
The eyebrow highlighter is a lovely peachy shade which is quite shimmery. Personally I think its gorgeous but some people may find it too shiny.
The eyebrow powder (mine is the colour chocolate which is for dark hair types) is so long lasting and I have not needed to touch up throughout the day.
So the bad things about Beautiful Brows is that I have found that there is a lot of fallout from the powder both the highlighter and the eyebrow powder. This is annoying for the obvious reasons such as waste but because of how strong the powder is it can make quite a lot of mess both on me and on the white compact. I think this really needs to be looked at and the powder should be reformulated or something. The other thing that I find quite annoying is that inside the packaging the tweezers, brush and stencil are hard to fit and squash behind the powder when closing the palette. This could also be redesigned a little.
All in all I really love this set and I really do recommend it. I have been so happy with it although there is a lot of fallout I will be buying another powder when mine has finshed.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay in place SPF 10 Foundation
I have heard so many great things abot Estee Lauder’s Double Wear foundation because of its fantastic coverage and durability. I wanted to give it a try as I have pretty good skin but unfortunately I suffer from annoying red cheeks which I want to cover up and hide.   I went along to the Estee Lauder counter and I had a lovely assistant who suggested that due to my pale complexion and red undertones that I try the shade called Ivory nude. She applied it to my skin and it created a flawless base. I said that I loved how it looked on my skin but I wanted to see how I got on throughout the day and if I liked it in the natural light. She was kind enough to give me a little sample pot which is supposed to last for 10 days.   After I’d been off for the day I went home hours and the foudation was still perfectly in place and none of the redness in my cheeks was showing through!!! This has never happened to me with a regular foundation before, as my red cheeks always show through within an hour after applying. I was so happy with how it had worn that I went back the following week and I bought it.   The great thing about Double Wear is that due to its thick consistency it is very easily buildable, you can apply a thin layer and wait for it to dry and then add another layer over the top (depending on whether you like a light or heavy coverage). The only problem I have had with it is that if I apply too much it feels sticky so it will take a little practice to get to know how much to apply.   Overall I really like this foundation and I believe that it is well worth its money. I would recommend trying this foundation if you want a long lasting coverage and you have imperfections that you would like to cover (that should be all of us!).
It is priced at £27.50 and I bought mine from Boots:

Topshop Glow Highlighter (in Polish) Review
I'm studying cosmetic make-up at college and my friends and I take our makeup collections in to ooh and ahh over. My friend brought this in to show us as she'd bought it from Topshop the week previous. I loved it and when I went up to Oxford Street one of my favourite places on earth (don't forget Disneyland) I saw it whilst shopping in the makeup department of John Lewis. I didn't realise that John Lewis sold Topshop makeup but I was told in their bigger stores they do. This highlighter was priced at £9 so I treated myself to it.
Glow comes in a small glass pot with a screw top lid. I like the packaging as glass feels more expensive than a cheap plastic pot would. I like the simple logo on the lid which has a white background and says 'Glow Topshop' just short and simple (like me!).
I bought the one called 'polish' which is a white highlighter. It also comes in a peach-gold which is called 'gleam' and a gold which is called 'sunbeam' I haven't tried either of these but I'm sure they are gorgeous especially during the summer months or if you are naturally tanned.
Gleam is a cream highlighter that you can apply easily with your fingers. It’s recommended that you apply highlighter to the cheekbones, above the eyebrows and anywhere else you want to highlight/ draw attention to creating the illusion of a gorgeous radiant face. I like the consistency as it’s very creamy and easy to apply and blend.
I have taken a photo of the highlighter on my hand and alongside my hand blended into the skin. As you can see it comes out as a gorgeous white colour which creates a beautiful gleam once it has been rubbed into the skin which easily catches the light.
I really like this highlighter as its so easy to blend. I’ve tried Benefits High Beam before but as it’s a liquid highlighter I find that is a lot harder to blend and it can end up appearing streaky if too much is applied. This one is very easy to blend and it seems to last really well throughout the day. I would recommend it and for £9 I think it’s a bargain.

Urban Decay Glinda Palette Review
Urban Decay Glinda Palette review
I went off very excitedly to London last weekend with the intention of buying Urban Decays Naked Palette. It didn’t take me much pursuading to buy this beautiful limited edition Wizard of Oz Glinda palette instead and I left the shop 5 minutes later and £35 lighter.
There are 2 of these limited edition palettes available; Glinda and Theodora. I chose Glinda because I love the gorgeous 'good witch' girly colours which are so pretty. I am tempted however to save up and purchase Theodora separately which is a 'bad witch' palette containing darker colours.
The palette comes in a cute little tin which has a beautiful design on the front and back. The great thing about this palette is that you can add and remove the eyeshadows should you want to, meaning that you can build your own collection. I wouldn’t do this however as all of the colours work nicely with each other, besides I love them all and I wouldn’t want to remove any!
Included in this palette are:
* Six eyeshadows
* A 24/7 glide-on eye pencil in purple
* Glinda Super-Saturated High-gloss Lip colour pencil
* A 'get the look' tutorial card
Eyeshadows -
The six eyeshadow colours are:
Aura (top) This one is 2 shades in one shadow! The first shade is a white/ pink. The second is a white/ blue. These colours are both iridescent colours and blended together they create a beautiful pink-lilac shade. I love this shadow because they can be blended together or used separately. The photo hasn't come out too well but this shade is gorgeous and great to use as a highlighter.
Magic (bottom) is a pink/ purple colour with a golden shimmer finish.
Oz (middle) This one also contains 2 shades! The first is a golden greeny colour and the second is a glittery bright blue. Again these can be blended together or worn separately.
Tornado (top) an incredibly deep, dark purple which is brilliant for adding to the crease and creating a smoky eye. The colours in this palette can be great for creating a cute girly look but by adding tornado the look can become instantly sexy. The finish of this shadow is shimmery and it shines a little pink too.
Illusion (middle) soft golden colour.
South (bottom) This is a dark greeny grey colour with a metallic finish.
Eye pencil
The 24/7 glide-on eye pencil is a deep purple. Just one swipe of the liner is all you need and it can be used to draw precise lines or it can be blended out to create a smokey look. The eyeliner is so easy and soft to apply and its very long wearing.
Lip pencil
The Glinda Super-Saturated High-gloss Lip colour pencil is a beautiful pink colour which again is so soft and easy to apply. It does have a good lasting time but being a pencil it does rub off after eating and drinking as most pencils do.
Overall
Ok so I love this palette! I think for £35 there is so much included that although it sounds expensive, if you think what you get for the money its excellent value! If you bought each item individually it would cost you over £100.
The eyshadows are gorgeous colours and easily blendable. So many different looks can be created with this palette which can range from day to night.
The extras included are great and the overall look of the palette is lovely.
If you think you will like the colours and be able to wear them then I would snap this palette up. Its a Limited Edition so grab it before it goes! I'm so glad that I did.
I would give this one 10/10!

Too Faced The Return of Sexy eyeshadow palette review
I’ve got really into collecting eye shadow palettes recently so I went and bought this one by Too Faced which is called ‘The Return of Sexy’ and it set me back £38.50 from my favourite shop ever, Boots.
What Too Faced say about The Return of Sexy:
Too Faced The Return Of Sexy Eye Palette contains all you need to recreate the smouldering and seductive eye looks of all time.
Appreance:
The palette comes in a cardboard box which has the same print as the palette itself. The palette is black and made of sturdy plastic material with beautiful engraved detailing around the edge which makes it look and feel luxurious and expensive. I love the beautiful graphics and overall design; I think looks like an impressive palette to own and it does look sexy! Its very light and easy to carry around, perfect for fitting inside my handbag.
Included in the palette are:
15 large eyeshadows,
A Full sized Perfect Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner in Perfect Black,
A Small Shadow Insurance primer,
3 ‘How to Glamorour Guides’,
A large mirror,
The Eyeshadows:
There are 15 large eyeshadows which have been organised into 3 collections in the shades following colours: Brown, purple and the classic smokey eye in grey/ black. Too Faced have based these looks on (L-R) ‘The Ingénue, The Icon and The Bombshell’.
All the shades do contain some shimmer, its not too much but if you are a fan of matte shades then this might not be for you. The Return of Sexy has been created as an evening palette so this must be taken into consideration.
The Ingenue:
This is the brown section and it contains: a shimmery cream, a gold, a warm brown, a champagne gold, and a deep brown. This is a great for creating a netural eye for the daytime which can be made more dramatic by adding the deep brown into the crease. I think this section will be one that I will use all the time!
The Icon:
This is the purple section and it contains: a shimmery pink, a dull pink, a bright purple, a brown, and a deep purple.
This is a great for creating a pretty eye for the daytime. It can be made so sexy by adding the deep purple into the crease and you instantly have a sexy evening look. I am not really a fan of the colour purple but these shades are just so beautiful I think I’m going to start wearing purples a lot more.
The Bombshell:
This is the smokey eye section and it contains: a shimmery white, a silver, a dark grey, a brown, and a deep black.
I would only use this section myself to create a sexy nightime look. The colours are so highly pigmentated and vibrant in colour that they are perfect.
Eyeliner:
The eyeliner is called ‘Perfect Eyes waterproof eyeliner’ which is an intense black waterproof  pencil with a smudge tip end which is perfect for creating precise lines or smouldering looks. Its consistency is very creamy which makes it glide onto the skin instantly with just one soft stroke.
I can’t believe how long wearing this eyeliner is. It really does not budge!!! It lasts all day without fading. I can’t tell you how great this eyeliner is.
To buy this eyeliner alone is £14.50 so to get a FULL SIZED eyeliner included in the palette is fantastic!
Shadow Insurance:
I have never used Shadow insurance before but I have used Urban Decay’s primer potion. Basically you really need to use an eye shadow primer if you want your eye shadow to go onto the skin at its most intense colour, not crease and last all day and night without fading. With this one you only need to use a tiny bit to cover both eyelids (but don’t forget to add a little underneath the lower eyelashes and cover the eyelid and up to the brow bone!) and I apply mine with my fingers as I find it easier to apply it this way but you can use a brush.
Its quite a watery primer, I have taken a photo of a sample of it on my skin and then rubbed in. It has a nice subtle shimmer and it helped my eyeshadow to stay put. What I don’t like about it is that its transparent and therefore I can still see my skin though the primer after applying it. I prefer UD’s primer which is like a concealer making my skin tone appear even.
How to Glamour Guides:
There are 3 Glamour Guides which are hidden behind the mirror in the palette. There are 3 guides, one for each colour section. On each card there are 2 looks with a painting by number style instruction to show how to create the look for day and night. On the other side of the card there is a photo of the actual eye which is a really cute idea!
The Ingénue
  The Icon
The Bombshell
My verdict:
I adore this palette, all of the shadows and the extras are of such excellent quality. It is such good value if you think about whats included for the price. To buy these items individually would work out so much more expensive so although buying it at £38.50 sounds a lot, it really its excellent value and so worth it. Its really like 3 eyeshadow palettes in one and you don’t need to go out and buy a palette for browns, a palette for purples etc as they all come together.
All the extras included make it so great, the full sized eyeliner and the small sample of shadow insurance.
The overall design of it is great too. It looks fantastic and I’m so happy to own it!
If you are an eyeshadow fan or you want to buy a decent evening palette then I really recommend getting this one.

KIKO Skin Tone Concealer Primer Review
I’d never heard of KIKO when I came across their shop whilst I was at Westfield in Shepherds Bush London. From the outside of the shop KIKO looks like a really expensive brand. The shop is clean and well lit with the products set out and displayed well. The product packaging is very similar to MAC and I suppose that too gives the impression that the products are expensive and of high quality.
When I went inside I was pleased to discover that KIKO is a bargain make-up brand. I bought the Skin Tone Concealer Primer in Green for £9.90 with 20% off.  I’d been looking for a green primer to help hide my red cheeks for a while. Its said in the beauty world that to balance out redness you need to use green or yellow based products as the colours are opposite each other on the colour chart and will therefore cancel each other out. This primer claims that it is: ideal for contrasting pink discolourations such as rosacea, capillaries and blemishes.
The directions say: After having moisturized the skin, apply a small amount with quick, firm strokes. Allow to dry thoroughly and then go on to apply the foundation. I applied it to clean and moisturised skin before going on to apply my other makeup.
The consistency of the product is quite runny. It sinks into the skin easily but it doesn’t leave my skin feeling velvety or make much of a change in my skins texture and appearance. The liquid doesn’t have a smell of any kind so its neither pleasant or unpleasant.
After cleansing, tonining and moisturising I have applied this product to my skin. I have taken photos for you to see the comparisons; the first photo is of my face without any make-up and my red cheeks. The second photo is my face without any other makeup after using the primer still with red cheeks! As you can see from the photos there has been no change in my skins appearance and the redness of my cheeks is still as visible as before. After using the primer I have gone on to apply my full makeup and I can say that the product has done nothing for my skin at all.
In all I have found that this has been a completely useless product I would not recommend it at all as I can’t see that it benefits my skin in any way and it doesn’t do anything for me in the way of ‘priming’.
