Okay, okay. I am fine.
I am calm.
...
No i am not THE NEW HELLUVA BOSS EPISODE JUST DROPPED PEOPLE! And its fuckinG GREAT! Hell yea i am way to excited.
Mastermind is really good. Could it be better? Of fucking course, but i enjoyed it a lot, and by a lot i mean i became an overexcited toddler. I feel like i am way too emotional to logicaly think about all the stuff in this episode, but i think its the best one of this season, like no questions asked.
First of all despite many different stuff happening all of it is a part of a bigger story. I.M.P. as a found family, the systemic racism and classism, all the Sins, law enforcement in hell, the matter of demon mortality (though very briefly) Blitzos individual relationship with each member of the crew, Stolitz, Octavia and Stolas, Stella and Andre, political games played by royals, Blitzos character study and development, Stolas getting completely destroyed, Stella showing clearly how little she cares for Octavia, and some other little things. Its all shown in one, single story. I generally feel like Helluva Boss cant do AB plot format. All the episodes i find most flawed are constructed as such (Especially the fucking S02E02). And imagine how weaker this episode would have felt if the court drama wasnt the only focus. Hovewer the most exciting thing in all of this are consequences. I hope, i really do, oh please make it happen, that Stolas gets so so broken. It may sound cruel but just imagine. Right now he has lost everything for his unfortunate love interest. While at first he was in the position of power now he will be completely dependant on Blitz. No one else is going to be willing to help him. Not one royal and especially no one from lower class. He has no home, no money, no family and no reliable support system. Literally his only ally is Blitz. He is a social pariah. This is the time to face the music. To face all of the bulshit he did, how he treated Octavia, how he treated Blitz and imps in general. Its a literal role reverse. Now Blitz holds all of the power between them. Whats more he has gained a sudden respect and popularity. He finally believed in Stolas love and became fully aware of how deep his own feelings are. I can see the fucking drama. Their perspectives and feelings are once again out of sync. But this time thy have different roles to play. Blitzos have just experienced everything he ever wanted, it was probably the best day of his fucking life. And for Stolas its probably one of the worst if not THE worst.
So what i believe will happen, or rather what i want it to be. Stolas will resent Blitz at first. He will constantly wonder was saving him worth all the riddicule, isolation, dependency and most of all losing his daughter. At the same time Blitz will be way too sweet to Stolas, he will be actually loving and tender for once in his life but also unable to fully emphatize with Stolas, because he is so damn happy right now. For the first time in his live he will be seen as not a failure but a hero. This will be a source of conflict and i hope this will be a moment when both of them actually understand each other. Stolas is facing all the ostracism Blitz has been facing all his life as an imp. It have to be a paradigm shift for him. And Blitz, I think he will see how easy it is to lose the sight of whats important when he is so happy while his partner is clearly not. But to be fair, while i believe they will come back to their toxic relatonship and that Blitz will be an insensitive dick i still want to see Stolas karma more. Because Blitz has been changing, has been becoming aware of his flaws even if he wasnt succeful in becoming better. But Stolas was never succefully called out. Not in Seeing Stars, not in Apology Tour. Blitz may have told him that he treats imps bady, but the message didnt really sink. It made him wonder (as shown in "All 2 u"), but did anything change? I guess now we will have a chance to see. So yea. I really, really love to see Stolas as someone small and broken. Because i hope he it will make him develop as a character. And if thats the plan, if thats why he wasnt really called out before, than i am getting my hope and faith in the creating team back.
Now. The things i didnt like.
Most and foremost, tone shifts. The episode had some good jokes. But some of them has really destroyed the tension. The worst one is when Blitzo is thrown out and starts hitting the door. I am sorry but why put a joke in a scene that should be absolutely heartbhreaking. The helplessness should be overpowering, and yet. Second thing that kind of pissed me off was "because your life has actual worth". I think its a bit too on the nose. And another thing. This is a constant one but... why wasnt all this drama better established in previous episodes? While yes we knew imps were discriminated, and that them using grimouir is illegal it feels like ages since the topic has been seriously touched upon. Whats more the discrimination felt very inconsistent. I wish we have seen more flashed out examples of how imps are treated. Because in this ep its literally said that they are worthless, created to obey. And yet it never felt this serious before??? The mafia with imp boss completely wrecked the concept. Also it was never said just how serious punishment Blitz would be facing if the truth about grimoir came out. I didnt feel any tension. If i was expected to cry or be sad or stressed about this episode, i was absolutely not i was giddy with joy. Same problem with showing Andre or Versago(is it his name?) as characters, though its not a serious issue.
All in all i feel like the biggest problem this show is facing at this point is the lack of system. The series feels both episodic and plot driven. But at the same time what is the main plot at this point? After this episode one may think it was about Blitz changing imps hierarchical status. But was it really?? I feel like at first it was just job killing shenanigans highly focused on dynamics between characters. Then came The Harvest Festival and we became properly introduced to this idea of Blitzos bussines being a way to fight systemic opression. Then Truth Seekers, and we have exploring inside trauma. Then the show became a romance drama, letting go of most things while butchering Stolitz with the fucking Seeing Stars. I vehemetly hate this fucking episode. Half of the second season feels like trying to explain stuff left out of the first one while also fucking everything else. Starting with fucking Seeing Stars and mostly ending with Campers. All these episodes tried to explain some preintroduced topics and managed only to mostly kill all the excitment i had for them. I could list them but this post is already long. So what i am trying to say, does Helluva Boss has any end goal in mind? I think not and i belive it may be the main source of the show's issues.

Helluva Boss is here again and oh boy, am i excited right now. I am very, VERY suprised but i love the new Halloween episode. I am sorry but i wont even look over tumblr to see other opinions, cause i know i will lose my current joy. I will do this later when i lose my excitment.
So why do I like the newest ep? I am not completely sure, maybe my expectations got really low over the duration of the 2nd season. Still, here are things that I really like:
1. Dynamics between I.M.P. members.
I feel like it has been SO LONG since I.M.P was shown as a team. Not as side characters for Stolitz, but people who are actually important and interesting. Even though it heavily focused on Millie and Blitz, there were small moments to show other members too. First we've got Loona who is completely exhausted. Which u know, most people would be if they didnt sleep the night, but also imagine what she had to deal with living with heartbroken Blitz. My goodness. But despite any sympathy i may have, i like her better this way. She was less bitchy than usual, ready to actually talk and compromise. It was really interesting to see her talk with Millie. The interaction was suprisingly civil and, dare i even say, friendly. Mill always has been kinda racist towards Loona, not using her name but calling her a "hellhound". Their relationship was rather non-existent with the the exception of Truth Seekers's events. And yet somehow i feel like they could be really great friends, so seeing Millie ask Loona for help was really satysfying. I think Millie is somewhat the most neutral towards Loona which is wild. Blitz treats her like a child and is ready to forgive her basicly everything while Moxxie has a very negative view of her (which is completely valid). But Millie sees her as an adult and is generally tolerant towards her problematic attitude while being aware of it. I think she could be a healthy influence (though her racism needs to be acknowledged and resolved) and they could create a very powerful team. I really would like to see it happen. Anyway, Loona actually agreeing to babysit Mox is gold. And then giving him ice-cream to help with his breakdown... just beautiful. I dont think sth like this has ever happened before. She was always really mean to him. The I.M.P. actually felt like a team in this episode, even if they weren't together. I really miss this, i think it should be a much bigger focus for a show called helluva BOSS. But yea, lets talk about Millie and Blitz. I really liked their dynamic. It feels like an expansion of what we had seen in the show. I always kinda wondered why Millie is so tolerant of Blitz's behaviour. He is very toxic in general but especially towards Moxxie, and as we all know she is ready to both die and kill for her husband. It didnt make sense for her to just ignore all the shit Blitz does. Even if he is generally sweet to her. He compliments her skills a lot and clearly values Millie. Now it makes a bit more sense. She sees him as a boss, a friend, and also, in a way, a hero. He is an inspiration to her. He is an equal in skills, he gave her a place to be of value and sth more than just another imp from Wrath. She met her husband because of him, found a place for herself. She clearly values him a lot, enough to ignore all the bullshit. Thats why it was so satysfying to see her angry with him. Made her more real and the conflict more impactful. This is the first time i really believed in Millie as an individual person. I think the show really needed an episode like this, shame its here only now. But hey, better late then never. Also, while i am able to believe in their friendship and understand Millie better now i still wish their relationship was better established earlier.
2. Blitz. Obviously.
As always he is a mess, it just becomes more and more obvious as the show goes. I have to say it is rather satisfying to see him so miserable over Stolas. Its is both suprising how open he is about it, while also being completely in character. Blitz's problems always end up being everyone problem. He is just... a very needy person, especially for someone who is afraid of getting close to others. This time however he really outdid himself. Moxxie will never again look at numbers without crying.
...Anyway, i think i always waited for a moment like this, where Blitz loses Stolas and understands just how important he is to him. And its a bit more pathetic and less violent than i expected. Yet somehow the show managed to actually not focus on Stolitz??? Huh??? Never thought it would happen. And especially in an episode like this. Makes me very happy, not gonna lie.
Then there are other things. Blitz's panic attack, flashbacks and emotional torment. Seeing Tilla burn and melt was so good. I hope he held her eye in reality too. The vibe of this episode, the gore and horrorish stuff are amazing. While his memories didnt really bring anything new (i mean, we all know about these stuff before or at least we had strong suspicions), the dead Millies were very interesting. The manifestation of his fear and guilt over all the times he endangered her live even though i dont really think he would be directly responsible for any of them. (For those who didnt notice, the forms of dead Milllie are connected to the first four episodes of the show.) I didnt think he was self-aware enough to acknowledge just how close to death they have sometimes come. Or maybe i am just projecting cause i never ever thought they could die, so why should they worry about it either? Especially since the show didnt treat these events seriously.
Then there are a few dialogue pieces i find really curious. The fact that Blitz says he never had a friend who he didnt want to have sex with. That actually is really sad and explains way to much. It seems that the only closeness Blitz has ever experienced in his adult was sexual. He doesnt know other way to feel connected to people, no wonder he wanted a threesome with M&M. He probably felt left out when they fell in love. Like he didnt matter anymore to them and the only way to stop it was to become a part of it. I think we all know what being a third wheel feels like and for someone like Blitz to be in this position... yae he obviously became a disaster. And dont misunderstand me. His attitude was completely fucked up. But the show treated it both as a joke an as an issue, whichever fit to the plot, without actually explaining why the heck is it even a thing. Well now i feel like i have finally got my answer and an okay one at that. I am happy Blitz decided to stop doing this, he is actually becoming a better person in the show. Now i only wish the same happened to Stolas, cause as for now he is becoming kinda worse and worse. I dont mind if the show is aware of it, which i am unsure if it is.
3. Animation.
I think its one of the best animated episodes in the entire show. There was no weird camera movement, the fight sequences were stunning, same with litghting, backrounds, character animation and generally everything. There were parts where it got particularly smooth or engaging. The part with Blitz sliding in bloody vents was such a great way to establish atmosphere. I could really feel how slippery everything became, how unsetlling. And there was a ton of scenes like this with all the horror vibes. Just. Stunning. Congrats to everyone who worked on it. In my opinion it was better animated than any of Hazbin episodes.
4. Humor.
Was it the funniest episode of helluva boss? Hell no. But i did laugh hard at the grandpa punching Millie hard while talking about fighting nazis. It took me completely of guard. Then another joke, when Blitz cursed his and Millie's little legs. It reminded me of the famous Hogwarts Jaguar (bless his soft little paws over which he trips when he runs too fast). Then there is Moxxie, just in general. He was very relatable. The whole ghost fucking didnt do it for me but the song was so bad it was actually hilarious.
5. Themes
This episode just felt refreshing. We have gotten some interesting dynamics: Loona with Mox and Blitz with Millie. Stolitz somewhat is not a focus but more of a tool to study Blitzo and others as characters. It shows I.M.P.'s mission. There is some world building with the whole demon in the living world. We now know how Millie met Blitz and whats more that he was an assasin in hell before he started killing humans. The show actually talks about imp discrimination. Blitz and Millie are super badass. Overall its a lot of themes. And whats more they didnt fuck it all up like s02e02. Gosh how i hate the Seeing Stars episode.
And now things i dislike. There is nothing in this episode that was particulary bad. I thing all the stuff i am frustrated with are more because of the lack of proper setup or continuity. For example I.M.P.'s skills level. I feel like they are either amazing or completely useless. On one hand we have scenes like Millie and Blitz's first fight, on the other she is getting hit with a bottle by a mere human while Blitz runs around with a new hole in his body. I just never know how good or bad they actually are in comparsion to other imps or demons. Then the imp discrimination. I am genuinely invested in this theme, but the show really cant decide what imps are. Are they pets? Slaves or servants?? The low class peasants, assasins or a straight up mafia??? Like what the heck. Maybe i am stupid but it doesnt make sense to me, like most of the worldbuilding at is point is a huge mess. What happens when demons die? What is law in hell? Why are there places like prisons or hospitals? How are higher class demons responsible for hell in general? So many, many, MANY things that are becoming only more problematic.
To conclude i feel like this episode gave me everything i wanted to see in Helluva Boss. More of the killing bussiness, I.M.P. inside dynamics, Blitz's fucked up self, imps fighting for a better life despite the discrimination, fun spooky shit and beautiful animation. I just cant help but be sad and frustrated that the whole show isnt more like this. These are themes i would like to see. I love romance, i really do, but not when its the only plot. Also, i wish the set up was better so i could enjoy the episode even more. I just feel like the majority of the second season is a wasted potential. I liked the first episode, but i didnt really buy the childhood friends trope. Seeing Stars is a complete disaster. It ruined so many things for me... Stolitz, Stolas as a father, the potiential of Loona and Octavia's friendship, Blitz and Loona's first meeting, their relationship in general, the quality of animation and sound design... i can talk and talk about how bad this episode is. I really prefer to pretend it didnt happen but unfortunately it ruined things i had been waiting for and i cant change that.
Now, i wanted to write more about other episodes, but u know what? I think i will analyse the season as a whole when it comes out. I have already spend too much time writing this post.
Big thanks for anyone who decided to read all of this. I am sorry if its too chaotic, or for any spelling mistakes and such. Its way too late and I should really go to sleep.

Great art, but when i look at this i can only think how Harry wouldnt even be confused about his loose clothes, because thats exactly what he is used to. Draco on the other hand... he would definitely have a fit. But i guess Harry Potter is a great distraction.

I am sorry, but there literally is no inconsistency. He may be just very unskilled in the matter. Also he is literally doing a joke, it doesnt have to do anything with reality.
Hey, I Thought He Was Ignorant At Giving Oral
Tumblr media
Hey, show I thought in "Mission: Antarctica" he says he didn't know how to give oral because he's a top. Or again your inconsistent writing is showing up again. Seriously, even if it was a painfully unfunny joke that is a continuity error you really need to look over.

I think it does not poke at people for being fans, but for them becoming obsessive to the point they are unable to fully comprehend reality.
She became used to things one can find in some fanworks and other stories of sexual nature and lost common sense. She is ready to sacrifice her life so she can live up to a fantasy. She also says some phrases that because of their overuse had became comical, like "Blitzy-kun" or "Daddy". I have to say i find the second one especially funny, cause the amount of "daddy kink" tag on ao3 is astronomical. And i do not mean to kink shame, but i dont think daddy play is something u just drop on someone, so her immediately calling Blitz that is taken straight from unrealistic NSFW fiction. Its like meeting a plumber and instantly making sexual advances at them, because its a common motif in porn.
Whats more the topic of "chicks who like demon hentai" makes sense in a show that has literal demons in the main cast. Most of this fandom could probably get categorized as monster fuckers. So people do care, they see themselfes in the short. But because the girl is so over the top they can laugh at similarities and not be offended. After all she isnt portrayed reallisticaly. Also helluva fandom is rather... wild. Can get very toxic and its well known, so the episode is like a distorted mirror. Its an encouragment to not take everything so seriously because at the end of the day its just fiction and its ones choice of how much it will influence their reality.
To conclude i think this episode is a wink to a fandom, so we can laugh a bit at ourselves and take a chill pill for a change.
Gotta agree the new Helluva Boss short is just really….uncomfortable? I think due in part that it like….I it feels so forced cringe culture and just like making fun of chicks who like demon hentai like who cares? I guess also I just rather something else I guess and the character is so fucking over the top in an annoying way.
Like at least the comic con parody in Metalocalypse and the brony parody in Bob’s Burgers was realistic and based on experiences people involved with those shows have had at conventions either they themselves being that weirdo having an argument about the correct pronunciation of klingon or then seeing adults shoving kids out of the way so they can hoard kids toys and resell them for hundreds on ebay.
But this just comes across more like girls enjoying harmless shit alone in their own homes is cringe and gross which does annoy me.
Plus it feels rushed? Like and the animation and acting is off almost like fan made?

New helluva short just dropped and I have to say it was absolutely hilarious. Suprisingly its probably one of the most positive experiences i have recently had with helluva boss. Short, simple, and funny. The second season is full of plot and romance drama, and while i dont particulary mind this content i wish the show had more going for it. Like disscussion about hierarchy in hell or IMP having law troubles cause of illegal use of grimouir, or just the assasination bussines. So i am glad for these shorts because they are exactly what the show premise was about. Sheanigans while doing the job. And this one was perfect for me. First i love Blitz, so i am always glad to see him. He is so goofy here. I like how he is animated as well, cute sneaky little lizard. His short song about kills, him being absolutely done with the target, and the "stab, stab, stab" part. Its such an absurd, i love it. Its similiar to how he was at the beginnig when he was portrayed as a clown. And i love all his trauma, but i feel like his personality recently got less vibrant, so its good to see it again. Also his talk with Milly is just such a nice detail? It makes me think he sometimes goes with Mox to see musicals despite being really uninterested in them, and being there just because he tries to be a good friend? Like thats so sweet. And portrays character development. And Millie being kind of done with musicals too is also really funny. Its like her and Blitz are bonding. Least but not last we have the monster fucker. I think its safe to say it was inspired by real fandom. The fanfics one can find... they can get absolutely insane. Obviously the character is a parody and not a literal representation but i think it managed the vibe really well. It made me laugh a lot.
So yea, really liked the short. It pains me to say it but i think it may be my favourite part of the whole 2nd season...

I think some people write this kind of stuff to cope with their trauma. After all its not like such things dont happen in reality. And some just like extreme angst and drama. I think that if its written well then its completely fine. On the other hand if the topic is very serious and then gets romanticized, well its in indeed troublesome and can be harmful too.
Why do people make like any characters backstory worse then it already is, I’m fine with headcanons and au’s but if it’s literally crazy.. then wtf? like once I read a story (without it knowing this was included!) we’re aizawa’s dad used him as like a sex toy.. and came from a very abusive household, tf??? And people make izuku’s backstory worse aswell, I’ve seen au’s were his middle school teacher was a pedo, were he attempts alot ect ect. What’s up with people tryna make characters lives worse then it already is💀
(Like I said I dont mind headcanons and au’s but I do mind if there as crazy as those or worse! Like I have some au’s and headcanons about some characters I like and their childhood! For example I headcanon that hizashi has a dead beat dad beacuse he couldn’t handle him but before he left he was verbally abusive, and hizashi has some mummy issues. But it’s nothing bizarre like the other ones!)

I am not into marauders era but i have read a story with the best Evan Rosier ever and whats more him being one of the most interesting characters in general. The series title is The Sacrifices Arc by Lightning on the Wave. If I am not mistaken it can be found both on ao3 and fanfictionnet. I strongly recommend it, though its sth of a classic i think, so i guess there is a big chance u have already read that. But if thats not the case the story is super long, very dark, but also has one of the most amazing if not the best worldbuilding i have ever seen in the fandom. But yea it can be triggering and is heartbreaking to read, so i advise some caution.
I dont write fics so it isn't my place to judge, but as a starved reader I beg of you sweet gods of ao3, how about we give Evan Rosier a personality?

The Full Moon ep is finally here! Warning, this post has a ton of spoilers.
I think it may be the best episode of the second season. Though i feel like its still nowhere near as good as ep 6 and 7 of the first one. I like the starting song, the contrast is good and the emotions of characters are clear. Its also a nice set up.
I especially love how everyone interacts with each other in this episode. Moxxie and Blitz seem like friends and their talk about sex is hilarious cause of Moxxies attitude. "Fuck him good, sir " was a brilliant line only because he was the one to say it. He seems too proper for this, maybe too shy. Blitzos good mood and his cackle after teasing Mox was also good to hear. Maybe cause he wasnt offensive this time. Anyway it just brought a lot of joy since its quite some time since they had a moment like this.
Then we have Blitz and his shopping trip. I liked when he went to buy candles. I think it has really shown that for Blitz sex isnt and probably never was about intimacy. He understands mood just as "horny" and honestly its very fitting. Though its not shocking i heve never thought about it . We know he is afraid of intimacy, but i thought about it strictly as an emotional closeness. I didnt think that sex could be so... one-dimensional for him in general.
Next we have cherubs. Tbh i didnt like this part mostly cause i dont think like it changed anything. If they were killed, well that would be awesome especially since i see no reason why it didnt happen already. They had been beaten and yet the I.M.P. has just send them back. Makes no sense, they are assasins and the cherubs are their enemies. Unless cherubs cant be killed without blessed weapons then well its somewhat fine. But still nothing they did was interesting or suprising. It feels like they were there to fill half of the time so the ep wouldnt be too short. Unless its more of a set up. But if so it still was somewhat weak. Maybe as i was so interested in Stolitz i just didnt have enough patience to care about cherubs. The fight was fun though, as was their reaction to Blitzos shopping. I am glad the I.M.P. got a chance to shine too. Especially Moxxie and his bitch line.
So now one last thing left. The ending. Obviously the best part. I loved how confused was Blitz and honestly i think his anger was understandable. After all he had no idea how Stolas felt and how he planned to end their arrangment. Blitz was both vulnerable and safe thanks to their deal, he was in a position of a "plaything" but also didnt have to be emotionally invested. He clearly hates himself, is insecure and generally cant imagine someone truly wanting him. So its not suprising that he reacted the way he did. In a way Stolas once again was the one to decide everything. He started the deal and then ended it. Without talking with Blitz. And to be clear, i dont think its fair to really blame Stolas. He tried his best. But well, they both lack the understanding. Stolas isnt aware that Blitz didnt believe in his love because of his own self-hatred. He now believes that Blitz simply hates Stolas. And Blitz really didnt have time to comprehend anything that happened so he acted harshly and in the end didnt even get the chance to apologise. I would like to also say sth about music in this scene. The fact that it was very emotional right from the beginnig even when Blitz was still in horny mood, it just selled it. It felt like real life when sth is wrong, but u notice it a little too late and then u just kind of crumble, get down from your high way too quickly and get a whiplash. It made it painfull to watch. I didnt cry though i heard many people did.
Anyway i am rather excited to see what will happen next and i really hope the episodes will hold some standard. Cause boy, the second season failed me a little to often.
Thanks for reading, hope u found sth interesting and sorry for any grammar mistakes and such.

Hmm, then i dont know where u can watch with subtitles, but there are scripts online of all episodes if it helps. Though the newest one is probably not there yet. Also i know that at least one episode of the second season has official subtitles on yt, i dont remember the title but its the one where Fizz and Blitz are hostages.

I dunno if someone said it, but i really think that in a second half of the second season of helluva boss I.M.P. and Stolas will have trouble because of the illegility of their previous deal. Some higher... goverment for the lack of word will find out about imp's adventures in the living world. Maybe because of the cherubs attack. They will have to run away and Stolas will be called by, i assume, Goetia family to disscus the issue.
Anyway thats just a little theory.

Same.
So much time have passed since i watched the show and i still regret it was not made for adults.
I’ve been watching Danny Phantom and I get it. I get it now.
This show loves to make some offhanded comment, not a hint of consideration or concern in its tone, and just moves on without addressing it like that wasn’t the most creatively horrific concept this side of Nickelodeon. Shit makes up wackass lore on the spot and then disregards it immediately after, asks fascinating questions then looks at you funny when you try to answer them.
I now fully understand how this show has legions of fans dedicated to taking this somewhat mid cartoon and running so far with the implications of the premise they created an entirely different show that’s so much more interesting I’m upset it’s not real.
