Pokécharms is shutting down so I made my own Trainer Card:

This was a real pain in the booty butt to create on Krita. So. Many. Layers. But it was necessary since it seems like Pokécharms is shutting down. I made QR codes that link to my Tumblr blog and Bluesky account. I'm quite proud of what I accomplished in two days. There was more creative freedom in making a trainer card from scratch using any official artwork (I don't like using others' fanart for these sort of things) I could find to piece together.

I kept a copy of the Krita file in case I want to make changes later.

Being a fallen angel, rejected by God, I like to think I've since been adopted by Arceus, "The God of the Pokémon World," transforming me into one of his angels instead.

I was never really a religious person, and honestly, I used to really dislike Christianity (which could explain my "fallen" status). I'm more accepting nowadays, though.

Arceus appeared during my existential crisis and helped me discover my own value in living while easing my fear of death. I like to envision my Arceus as the one from Legends, not dictating what I should or shouldn't do, but guiding me to find peace within myself.

It took far too long this morning just to set up a custom border while playing Game Boy Advance games on my modded 3DS.

I had to install open_agb_firm onto the system, re-add the games into a ROMs folder, and grab a .png of the border from GitHub to convert it with ImageMagick. I could create my own custom border, but I don't feel like doing that right now.

…anyway, enjoy a perfect (0 Sp.Atk) jolly starter Mudkip obtained through RNG manipulation on PC, as highlighted in the image above.

Shōgi Pieces with Lore - Rachel's Pawniard Line (WIP)

I have set a new project goal: an in-depth species biography of the Pawniard line. It will cover aspects such as physical appearance, sentience and intelligence, courtship, governance, biological cycles, and perhaps some added evolutions or forms that have been floating in my mind.

I spent last night and this morning tinkering with the idea of combining the Japanese Chess (Shōgi) pieces with the Pawniard line and Feudal Japanese hierarchy.

Initially, I had a branched evolution for each piece until I realized most of it was unnecessary/redundant. So, I streamlined and merged elements. I left the Lance piece as a potential branched evolution I'll need to design since some Samurai used "lances" called Yari, which I found fitting for how I'm portraying the Pawniard line.

I removed the Knight pieces altogether, merging their properties with Lance and Bishop. In Japan, "Knight" is simply another term for Samurai, making it unnecessary to keep them separate.

For the Horse, Rook, and Dragon pieces, I thought it would be interesting to avoid creating some "abomination" branch evolution that resembled dragons and birds. Instead, I decided that "Lance/Yari" and Bisharp would be the ones to tame bird, dragon, and equine-like Pokémon to ride into battle, making it more akin to their earthly counterparts.

Some System Lore & Nephilim Children

Rachel the Angel naturally possesses the unique ability to give birth to nearly anything, resulting in her having offspring that include a goblin and a feline goo creature.

The possibility of bearing a child with Blade the Bisharp and/or Knife the Bisharp has been mentioned, but no current or future plans have been established. Offspring of Rachel with anyone lacking Angelic Ancestry are Nephilim. This means Roofie the Goblin and Colton the Slime Cat are Half-Angels, possessing hidden angelic physiology that can be awakened through ascension.

Some worldbuilding for my story & OCs.

Bisharp possess four rows of razor-sharp teeth — two on the top and two on the bottom. In this regard, they closely resemble shark teeth and are continuously replaced as old ones fall out. This characteristic also applies to Pawniard and Kingambit. Knife, his family, and the Pawniard line enjoy dining on Qwilfish and Overqwil. Fugu, a Japanese dish that can be lethal due to tetrodotoxin, is not a concern for them since steel is naturally immune to poison.
