Being deaf can't stop this dragonet! Algae likes to follow pods of whales and feel vibrations from their singing. He can only communicate in Aquatic, though other Seawings don't mind.

During water games at church camp, my friend couldn't wear her hearing aids. She would crouch down near to the speaker, with her fingertips touching the ground. It looked weird, but she was just feeling the vibrations of the music since she couldn't hear it that well.

I absolutely loved Abyss’s design and wanted to give drawing them a try. I tried to reference the color pencil drawing and headshot (that I thought was Abyss) from the post about art fight. I really enjoyed drawing Abyss and I hope that you like the finished product!

Re-reading Talons of Power, and I noticed how funnily Whirlpool is described. He's slimy, smug, and apparently oozes wherever he goes. Is he even a dragon at this point?

Yes! My friend and many members of her family have hearing loss. She is currently learning ASL and is teaching a lot of her other friends and I what she knows. (she also wants to learn every other sign language as well.)
