1. Has Z ever experimented on another species, or does he strictly focus on humans and animals?

2. How do the Tallests view Z right how? As a threat to their entire existence of irk? Do they even know what he's been up to, Or are they satisfied with the fact that he's simply not here anymore?

Most likely you won't answer, but maybe I can find out something from a simple yes/no i hope.

3. What was the scariest or most disturbing thing Z has ever done in his entire life?

Something he regrets, something he don't want to remember. Or is the act so terrible that it cannot even be remembered?

4. Does Zim still see himself as superior, or has he completely lost that sense of self and just acts on instinct now?

Eh, it’s not like I got nothin better to do so let’s do it!

1. No, he’s definitely tried to experiment with other fauna. He tried to experiment on fish but uh, as you know, him and water don’t get along well so he eventually left them alone. He also experiments on bugs, specifically praying mantis’s, wasps, and spiders.

2. At first, they only saw Z as a tool, but after the incident, the Tall Ones recognized Z’s true power and were afraid of him. Not for the Irkens, but for themselves. They don’t give two shits about the Irkens, they’re irrelevant to them and of course, they can always make more. But the Tall Ones have to live. Why? Because they are the true Irkens, the last of their kind. That makes them better than anybody else.

3. Huh, I don’t know how to properly explain that yet. I feel like instead of telling you what happened I’d rather show you. I’ll make a short comic about it so stay tuned!

4. Ohhh yeah, Z definitely feels like he’s superior than everyone else. He’s got a touch of the god syndrome if you ask me. ;)

But the BIGGEST thing that inspired me was Invader Zim itself. It had soooo much potential to be a great show. The story behind its production and all the cut content that Nickelodeon thought was “too scary” really stuck out to me. If Nickelodeon didn’t step their foot in or basically didn’t produce the show at all and have some other network do it, Invader Zim would’ve been spectacular. I honestly feel so bad that Jhonen Vasquez went through hell because of that so I kinda wanted this AU to be a homage of his original story but if it were written by me.

9. Like I stated above, those things were the ones that inspired me. Horror-wise, though, it would definitely be the Alien Franchise, Marble Hornets, the FNAF VHS videos, Silent Hill 1 and 2, and Omori.

DD Progress/Updates 27

Hello my little invaders! Long time no see! It is I, the great EMatooney, back at it again with a long awaited update!

So sorry for the wait! Now that I’ve finished those projects of mine I can work on the comic, which I HAVE, fyi. I swear.

We’ve managed to update the backgrounds a bit to make them look more realistic and the rough draft phase is complete! All that’s left is for me to do is the line art and then send it to my good buddy @edgy-artkid for coloring!

It is unclear when the line art phase will be complete. My job has been making me work days I’m supposed to be off and it’s been sucking me dry. Not to mention I’ve been working on transferring to a new college as of late. Being an adult really sucks.

But never fret! I won’t give up! You better not give up on me either! Keep an eye out for new posts and keep on keeping on my dears! Until next time…

Has Z ever had a worthy opponent in his time?

How are the females treated on his planet?

What are Gir’s malfunctions that Z had to fix?

Has Z been bullied often at school?

How does he treat his test subjects while their in their cells? How does he keep them alive in them?

Oooo! A question bomb! Been a while since I did one of these.

1. Yes he did! Kinda. It was Tak! She was his general. (Yes, Tak was a general in this au)

2. Basically, kinda bad. On the Tall One’s old world, the females were actually the ones with the higher authority, like actual bugs. Hell, they were even bigger and stronger than the males. But when the females all died out, the Tall Ones had to clone them back. However, now that they were the leaders, the Tall Ones felt that they deserved to be the one with the higher authority, given that they were the last of their kind, of course. So, they forced all the female Irkens to wear veils over their faces and were all genetically engineered to be smaller and weaker than males.

Tl;dr: The Tall Ones are fucking sexist. 😠

3. Gir’s only malfunction is when he’s not on duty mode. When he’s not on duty, he’s a regular normal dog, more intelligent than usual but overall, a dog. Z doesn’t like it since he wants Gir to obey him at all times but can’t because if he tried to tamper with Gir even more than he already did, Gir might become dysfunctional.

4. A few times. Most people think Z is, pardon my French, retarded or just weird.

5. Like anybody with no emotions: cold and unfeeling, with a hint of curiosity. How did you feel when you would dissect a frog in biology class? Grossed out, I would imagine, but at the same time, weren’t you curious? Were you fascinated by the frog’s biological system? Did you wonder how they worked? What organ did this, what organ did that. Z is just like that but instead we are the frogs on the metal tray and Z’s the one with the knife.

Of course, before you start cut opening frogs or sending cows to the slaughter, you gotta feed them, right? That’s what Z does to his prisoners. It doesn’t matter what he gives them, as long as it nourishes them. Sometimes, if one human wants to take the easy way out and starve themselves, Z will forcefully feed them himself. Can’t die yet when the show’s just getting started, get it? ;)
