Hes seen as stupid by the others cus of his lack of english, but is really emotionally smart iygm… hence why ted likes to run to him when hes having one of his moments LMAO

AM torments him by disecting him to see how human systems and such work in action, since when he was younger he took part in some military weird experiments and is rlly ashamed of it. AM also gives him tacky sailor tattoos just to remind him of his army past (and ofc inflict pain)

Before AM took over, she used to be a very religious young girl. But she had violent outbursts, (hence her eyelashes and brows being plucked, her overall messy state), mood swings, fear from seeing and hearing things when there was nothing there. Her family didn’t take too kindly to this, and never believed it was mental illness (even though it was), she was left scared and believing she would to go to hell unless she devoted herself to praying her actions away. And once the AMpocalypse happened, he took amusement in her shenanigans. The binds on her arms are only there to poke fun at her, and keep her from the possibility of fatally hurting the other survivors. (Ironic, considering the ending ik 😹)
