Happy September first everyone! How has 2017 been treating you thus-far? Nine months in, we can't complain! We've had a great year and have met some great customers; you all have been so wonderful to work with and we've loved making your orders! First and foremost, we'd like to tell you just how much we've appreciated everyone who's asked after custom work, who's bought something random from our shop, or who's just told us they enjoy what we do. You guys are the reason we've been able to keep it together and produce some cool stuff; we love every one of you!!

Now, for the hard part; we've made some big decisions over here in our tiny part of the world and have a big announcement to make. As of October first, we'll be putting our shop into vacation mode and keeping it that way till January first 2018. At that time, we'll reopen with new art dolls and plush animals (we've made a LOT of new patterns that don't ever make it to the shop!) but we'll no longer be making our costume wings.

No more wings! That's crazy, I know. Our wings drive the shop - they make up almost %80 of our orders and %90 of requests - so this decision wasn't made lightly. We've had lengthy debates and stressful nights leading up to the decision. It's a big shift and we know we might be loosing a huge chunk of you. We've loved the positivity you guys bring us and can't thank you enough for the kind words and support you've provided over the years; really, you've driven us to do things we didn't think we could, and we wouldn't trade what we've built with you for the world!

But, you can't do something forever, and we've decided to close this particular chapter in our art endeavor book.

We enjoy our work very much! We enjoy creating new pieces for our customers, and love the outcomes of our hard work! But we aren't in love with the idea of making wings forever; they take a lot of time and dedication, and quite frankly we don't have much more to give when splitting hours between work, the shop, and conventions we travel to. We just can't do it anymore; this is our last hurrah, and we're ok with that 🙂

So if you've ever been interested in a set, stop by the shop. Snatch something up or ask after something new! We want to make this an awesome last hurrah, and we've got a few surprise one-of-a-kind sets to list for the upcoming holidays we're really excited for! We'll be working hard leading up to October, so try not to worry too much as we pattern, paint, and craft ourselves into a coma. Again, we've appreciated everything you guys have done for us!! You truly are the best!

We just listed a new pattern for purchase! These beauties were originally made for one of our wonderful customers who needed something dark and demonic ;) Now they are available to all the rest of you, in case you are feeling a little devilish.

We used vinyl on these, so they are a bit more shiny and should blend into her costume better. They have a basic hip harness and will last for many conventions to come!

Just a quick video of our new Belledandy wings we made for a lovely cosplayer! <3 Many thanks to her commission, we adored making these! So here you go, a new pattern, and new shot of what our white wings look like when you’ve got light behind them. Our other wings that are painted have this effect to a much smaller extent, so if it’s a pretty shadowed or gauzy effect you are after, white might be right for you ;)

I LOVED MAKING THESE! They took a while - the detailing on them haunted my dreams - but I’m pretty stoked about the result, hope you are too!

So here you go - this video is also a great way to show off how our wings can bend at the base, so you can change the angle they sit at.

Now that 2017 is officially here, it may be time to add a few new cons to your list! Seriously, look no further than Wizarding Dayz, an event we cannot WAIT to be a part of!!

If you are a Utah local, you may remember Fantasy con. Ah, Fantasy con, you were beautiful, wonderful, fantastic! You were everything anyone ever wanted. What a spectacular time, what amazing guests, and how cool was that giant dragon!? This event was to DIE for, and now, sadly, it is no more.

However, we may not need to be as downtrodden as I was intent upon being, as Wizarding Dayz will debut this February. This con aims to soothe the pain of missing Fantasy con with - well - being awesome at loving fantasy! Wizards are the main focus here, from all walks of life (we aren’t just talking about Harry Potter!) If you love Dungeons and Dragons, Lord of the Rings, Sword of Shanara, or anything that has to do with magic, swordplay, and awesome creatures, this event is for you! They’ve got everything you might want and probably more you didn’t even know you needed! So check them out, tickets are only $20 for the whole weekend!

While Fantasy Con can never be replaced, Wizarding Days could help itch that fantasy scratch you’ve not been able to reach since 2015. So give it a try; what have you got to lose!?
