Knowing something about laptop repair can really be essential. When you own a laptop, and have used it for some time, it is always possible that something may go wrong with the device. As with any mechanical device, the chance of a failure occurring increases with the amount of time you use the device. In the case of a laptop the fault may not always even be mechanical. The software installed on your laptop could become corrupted, or your system could become infected with a virus.
Any or all of these things could cause a malfunction in your system. That’s when you need reliable people to turn to who specialize in laptop repair. Some of the reasons your laptop could be malfunctioning include actual damage to the LCD screen. LCD screens are delicate objects which can become damage if the laptop is dropped. In case on an accident the LCD can crack or even break into pieces. However this isn’t hard to repair. All that is required is a simple replacement of the LCD, and your system will function as well as ever.
This sort of simple replacement-repair hardly takes any time at all and you can have your laptop back to work on within twenty four hours or so. If your laptop is dropped, the case of the laptop itself can also become damage. This usually also involves a simple and easy replacement of the case itself. If the keys on your keyboard happen to be sticky they can usually easily be cleaned by a technician. Alternatively, you could probably even do it yourself. Be careful, though, that you don’t void the warranty by mistake. These are all minor issues.
A more serious problem can occur if you happen to empty a large container of liquid on your laptop, instead. This is admittedly a serious issue. If this happens you need to shut of the power at once, and take the laptop to your dealer or laptop repair specialist. It’s actually quite possible to repair a laptop even after an accident of this sort. And always remember that even if the laptop is not repairable it’s certainly possible that a qualified technician will be able to recover your crucial data from the device.
These are some of the issues that the average laptop owner may encounter. If you encounter any of these issues, remember that they are common enough problems, and usually easy to handle. Just contact your local dealer or laptop repair specialist and you have your laptop working perfectly again in no time at all. I learnt most of these going through this guide it is a great recommendation.

iPhone XS and XS Max teardown shows off revamped batteries
21st of September was the official launch day for Apple’s latest iPhone XS and XS Max phones. And, as is practically a tradition, iFixit was ready with a full teardown to show off all the secrets inside Apple’s latest phones. As expected, the new phones are pretty similar to last year’s iPhone X (the XS Max’s larger size notwithstanding), but there are a few tweaks and changes for the eagle-eyed observer to note between the two devices. The biggest change is the battery. While last year’s iPhone X had two battery cells for a total charge of 2,716mAh, the iPhone XS has a single, L-shaped cell, with a slightly lower 2,659mAh capacity. (Apple claims that it’ll still offer slightly better battery life than the X does.) The XS Max, on the other hand, retains the two-cell system from the X, with a 3,179mAh battery. That’s not bad, but it’s not exactly the 4,000mAh battery from the Note 9.
According to iFixit, there’s also no evidence that the teardown team could find of any improved water or dust resistance, despite the improved IP68 ratings on the iPhone XS and XS Max. The company also notes that Apple is continuing to make more and more of its internal components in-house, adding a new, Apple-branded power management chip in this year’s models. Lastly, there are a couple of minor cosmetic tweaks: there’s a new antenna line on the bottom of the phone (which is a handy way to tell the XS and X models apart), and the camera bump is slightly taller. So if you have a particularly form-fitting iPhone X case, you might not be able to use it on your XS. Read the full article

Twitter Purge; Top Accounts Lose Millions of Followers
Many celebrities, politicians and so-called social media influencers found their Twitter followings knocked down a few digits on Thursday 12th July as twitter purge slashed tens of millions of suspicious accounts from the totals.
Ashton Kutcher had 19.1 million followers on Wednesday. As Twitter began cutting fake accounts, that dropped to 18 million on Thursday evening, a loss of 1.1 million or nearly 6 percent. For example, the actor Ashton Kutcher, an active member since the company’s early days who led other celebrities to embrace the platform, saw his follower count drop by more than a million. On Wednesday afternoon, he had 19.1 million. By Thursday evening, that was down to 18 million, a drop of nearly 6 percent. Oprah Winfrey, who sent her inaugural tweet in 2009, had her following cut by about 1.4 million between Wednesday and Thursday evening. Ellen DeGeneres lost two million, leaving her at 76.1 million followers. The basketball star Shaquille O’Neal also lost about a million, dropping from 15.3 million followers. Rihanna lost more than two million — but she still has 86.8 million people watching her tweets. Katy Perry saw her count drop by three million to 107 million. Twitter announced that it started purging millions of accounts yesterday. The micro-blogging platform specified that it would be removing locked accounts from follower counts across profiles globally, so we were to expect a drop in follower counts today. The accounts that Twitter will be purging today are locked accounts that the company ‘detected sudden changes in account behaviour’ and if the owners didn’t validate their accounts, they were henceforth purged. Aly Pavela, a Twitter spokeswoman, said the work of locking and eliminating suspicious accounts from users’ follower counts would continue over the coming days. The company is taking the action to restore trust in its platform. Many users have inflated their followings with automated or fake accounts, buying the appearance of social influence to bolster their political activism, business endeavors or entertainment careers. The social media company itself was not spared. Twitter’s main account lost about 12 percent of its total followers (about 7.7 million) from Wednesday to Thursday. The Twitter chief executive, Jack Dorsey, had lost about 230,000 followers by Thursday evening. An investigation by The Times in January found that one small company in Florida sold fake followers and other social media engagement to hundreds of thousands of users around the world, including politicians, models, actors and authors. The revelations prompted calls in Congress for intervention by the Federal Trade Commission and investigations in at least two states. In the aftermath of this week’s follower purge, people who have built their celebrity on social media platforms took a hit as well. Kim Kardashian West lost about 3 percent of her Twitter following, dropping down to about 58.5 million as of Thursday evening. Justin Bieber had been stripped of about three million followers so far, while Ariana Grande lost about 932,000. Some celebrities saw more than just a meager cut. Kathy Ireland, the onetime swimsuit model who presides over a half-billion-dollar licensing empire, lost a whopping 77 percent of her followers between Wednesday and Thursday evening. How many followers have you lost as a result of this purge? Leave your answers in the comment section below. Read the full article

Drones In Nigeria
Drones In Nigeria
An Unmanned Aerial Vehicle popularly known as Drone is an aircraft without a human pilot on board. The history of drones go far back to World War I when the Dayton-Wright Airplane Company invented a pilotless aerial torpedo that would explode at a preset time. Drone technology is constantly evolving as new innovation and big investment are bringing more advanced drones to the market every few months. Below, I discuss UAV technology on the most popular drones on the market which have all the latest drone technology. Most drones will have very similar systems incorporated. Unmanned aerial vehicle technology covers everything from the aerodynamics of the drone, materials in the manufacture of the physical UAV, to the circuit boards, chipset and software which are the brains of the drone.
The Mavic Pro
How Drones Work
A typical unmanned aircraft is made of light composite materials to reduce weight and increase maneuverability. This composite material strength allows military drones to cruise at extremely high altitudes. Drones are equipped with different state of the art technology such as infra-red cameras (military UAV), GPS and laser (military UAV). Drones are controlled by remote control system also sometimes referred to as a ground cockpit.
A Military Drone An unmanned aerial vehicle system has two parts, the drone itself and the control system. The nose of the unmanned aerial vehicle is where all the sensors and navigational systems are present. The rest of the body is full of drone technology systems since there is no need for space to accommodate humans. The engineering materials used to build the drone are highly complex composites which can absorb vibration which decreases the noise produced and also light weight.
A UAV (Drone) and its Control
Drone Technology In Nigeria
Nigeria drone enthusiasts, like others across the world, have spent the last couple of months experimenting and exploring innovative ways to use drone technology. Mostly adopted by filmmakers, start-ups and enthusiastic hobbyists, there was also hope on the part of e-commerce companies that drones could be the answer to dealing with delivery challenges in the country, including frequent traffic congestion and a haphazard home address system. That hope faded, with an announcement by the Nigerian government on May 8 2016 of an immediate ban on launching Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RUA) or Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) in its airspace without a permit from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) as well as the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA). The government argues that the deployment of drones “without adequate security clearance” has led to “predictable safety concerns and security threats.” Security concerns in Nigeria remain high as the country battles with a deadly insurgency by the terrorist group Boko Haram that has left millions displaced and at least 20,000 dead in the north, as well as re-surging militancy in the south. While the government didn’t cite specific concerns in its statement, there are likely fears that Boko Haram and other groups might deploy drones for surveillance and strikes. In a statement, the NCAA declared “no government agency, organization or an individual will launch an RPA/UAV in the Nigerian airspace for any purpose whatsoever without obtaining requisite permit from the NCAA and ONSA.” The battle over drone regulation is not new, with countries like Canada adopting robust guidelines preventing use of drones near areas with large groups of people and for unauthorized photography. The UK parliament has also called for compulsory registration of all civilian and commercial drones so as to manage “drone traffic and safety concerns.” However, the worry lies in Nigeria’s cumbersome bureaucratic processes. Obtaining permits from such high level agencies for recreational and commercial use of drones could be a difficult, opaque and costly process. Fears over the impact of drone regulation are not exclusive to Nigeria on the continent. A blanket ban on drones by Kenyan authorities in January last year (also for security reasons) dampened hopes of innovative and commercial uses as investors questioned funding projects such as air delivery in the face of government regulation. Your Samsung Phone Might Send Nude Pictures Of You To Your Contacts
Your Samsung phone might send nude pictures of you to your contacts without your knowledge.
If you own a Samsung phone, including the Galaxy S9 or the Note 8, your private pictures may be at risk. The phone might be sending photos to your contacts without your knowledge and approval, which does not seem a big deal until you realize you definitely want certain images kept private from some of your contacts. In order words, your phone might send nudes to your mum, dad or even boss which translates to a very big problem. The cause of this issue is still not known at this point, and Samsung are investigating the matter. While you wait, there are fixes in place if you are a victim. Posts on Reddit and Samsung's forums, first reported by Gizmodo, explain that it all happens without the owners knowledge. The photos are sent randomly to contacts and there's no trace in the Samsung Messages app to prove that it happened. The only proof is the shocking response you might receive from a recipient surprised to see those pictures from you without explanation. A Reddit user discovered that Samsung Messages sent out his entire photo gallery to a contact in the middle of the night. Luckily it was the user's spouse, but this behaviour is sill unacceptable. Samsung says they are looking into the matter: We are aware of the reports regarding this matter and our technical teams are looking into it. Concerned customers are encouraged to contact us directly at 1-800-SAMSUNG. A theory that has been given as to why this happens says that Samsung Messages isn't working correctly with the RCS profile updates that were rolled out recently. While you wait for Samsung to fix the problem, you can try two temporary fixes yourself. First is to ditch the Samsung Messages and use a different messaging app. Secondly, you should revoke revoke Samsung Messages' permissions to access your phone's storage. In either case, just to be on a safer side, you might want to move any compromising photo off your Galaxy phone for the time being. Read the full article

Tinder Introduces PICKS Feature
A major problems with Tinder is that there can sometimes be too many people, this means that you could end up spending a lot of time swiping on people that may or may not interest you. However, Tinder is hoping to apply a bit of smartness when it comes to matching people with each other, and has since launched a new feature called “Picks”.
According to Tinder Official Blog, “We know there’s plenty of fish in the sea, but let’s be honest, you want to zero in on the ones that suit your taste and are most interesting to you. Picks is the newest addition to the Tinder Gold experience, designed to highlight your most swipe-worthy potential matches and what makes them stand out — all in a fresh new format.” However as Tinder points out, Picks is a feature that seems to be aimed at its Gold users. This means that if you’re not paying for a Tinder Gold subscription, you won’t be able to take advantage of it. For those who are unfamiliar, Tinder is free to use, but if users want to unlock more features, they can opt to go for the Tinder Plus subscription or Gold.
Both plans are the same, with the exception that Gold will let users see which other Tinder users have liked them, taking the guesswork out of the app. Both are subscription based, so like we said if you want to take advantage of the new Picks feature, you’ll have to pay for it. Snapchat's New Feature Focuses on Privacy
Snapchat's New Feature Focuses on Privacy
Just a few weeks ago, during an onstage interview at the Code Conference, Snap CEO Evan Spiegel zinged the blue juggernaut that’s haunted his company with this line: “We would really appreciate it if they copied our data protection practices also.” Ouch. The dynamic between the two companies, of course, has seen Facebook — after unsuccessfully trying to buy Snap after several attempts — copy and repurpose everything of its smaller rival that it possibly can, like Stories and ridiculous camera lenses. Snap, for its part, has successfully peeled off a younger demographic from Facebook by being everything Facebook is not — like fun and, with Snap’s announcement today of its developer platform, ostensibly more focused on privacy.
The latter, in fact, is one of the key points the company is touting with the launch of its Snap Kit suite of tools for developers. As part of the new additions, Snap Kit will include the ability to put Bitmoji in apps and to add Snapchat stories to the content of other apps. Pandora, for example, is one of Snap’s initial third-party partners and announced separately how, for example, Pandora listeners will be able to in the coming weeks send favorite songs to friends via a song card or to their Story (Isn't that cool). When you get one of those sent to you, you can swipe up and listen to the song on Pandora via the integration — for which users also don’t have to connect their Snapchat and Pandora apps. “We’re always looking for more ways to bring Snapchat into the world and the world into Snapchat,” Snap Inc. vice president of product Jacob Andreou said about the news, which actually preceded a 2.1 percent bump in Pandora’s stock Thursday morning after the announcement. In a post-Cambridge Analytica world, a privacy-focused service like this should come as welcome news to social media users who now pretty much expect much of their data to be hoovered up in the service of tailoring ads and the like. But while Snap’s pitch here is certainly admirable — the company, for example, says Snap Kit will only share a user’s display name and avatar, no other identifying details — a note of caution is certainly in order. Or, rather, maybe not caution — more of a Trumpian “We’ll see what happens.” Snap’s user base has stagnated a bit. Facebook’s missteps, you could argue, have also rattled people into now being circumspect about social media in general, no matter the service. And then there’s the fact Snap hasn’t necessarily batted a thousand when it comes to privacy. In 2014, the company settled charges with the FTC related to misrepresentation of its data retention. It’s also an understatement to note that Snap is also still figuring out its relationship to publishers. A representative for an unnamed publisher who’s part of Snapchat’s Discover channel told Digiday this week: “They’ve always been good to work with. I think they are just in a more desperate period in their life cycle. As we expand into more lucrative and better monetizable platforms, I think Snapchat will become less and less of a priority.” Maybe today’s news will help Snap get over the hump and cast a wider net for itself. Maybe not. This news is probably mostly worth cheering. Facebook’s whole model was built on swallowing as much data, usage, insight, time — everything that it could. There’s a reputational element here for Snap in terms of getting this right. You can’t exactly wag your finger at Facebook and step in the same messes it did. So, for now, rejoice — more vomiting rainbows are apparently coming to an app near you. Read the full article

Tech Bigwigs Come Up With A Solution To Phone Addiction
Tech Bigwigs the world over have tried to come up with a solution to phone addiction. There is this believe that there is no problem tech cannot solve, even if the problem is that tech is making most people miserable. Coming up with a solution to phone addiction is not an easy one and will also involve using more tech in the process. Apple’s software keynotes are normally about how the ways you’ll be able to get your devices to do more, but the event on Monday had an unusually paternalistic bend. Demonstrating their new “time well spent” apps, Apple executives showed how your iPhone will get you to spend less time on your iPhone (Weird Right?... I Know). So if you’ve spent longer stalking your crush on Instagram then you had previously planned it will say: “You went over your Instagram limit two times this week” – presumably it’s not angry, just disappointed. The situation the world finds itself as relates the explosion of tech solutions that supposedly help you spend less time on your phone is reflective of the oversupply of exuberance still on display in Silicon Valley. Even as tech companies recognise that the amount we’re staring at screens is making us miserable, they still believe its their products that can fix the problem (Tech is awesome).
Apple announced new “digital health” tools that will be found in the settings app. The company will allow you to stop your phone from disturbing you while you are asleep, group certain notifications together and see how many times a day you check your phone – all in a bid to improve your wellbeing and proffer a solution to phone addiction. Google last month announced a similar suite of tools, which will issue warnings if you’ve been watching Youtube for too long and offer options to get a single daily summary of your notifications rather than being pinged throughout the day. Your phone can also be set to turn grey when you’re ready for bed, making it easier for you to put it down and go to sleep. All of this is at odds with Google’s advertising, which demonstrates how Google can be used constantly to help with any task. Take the ad for their voice assistant, Google Home, which demonstrates the myriad ways Google can be with you in every part of your life and the lives of your children. Facebook also introduced changes to the news feed, which they believe will lead to users spending less time on the site – but the time they do spend will be more rewarding.
Google, Apple and Facebook will have to compete with existing third-party apps that promise they can make you use apps less. One of those apps called BreakFree gives you an “addiction score” based on how much you use your phone and then invites you to do better. The ironically named Self-Control allows you to block certain URLs for a period of time while you try to focus on work. This all comes after a flurry of studies that suggests that overuse of technology is making us miserable. Social media use has been linked with depression, particularly among young people. One 2010 study found teenagers who spend five or more hours a day on electronic devices are 71% more likely to have a risk factor for suicide than those who spend less than an hour a day. The phrase “time well spent”, used by all three tech giants but especially Facebook, was coined by Joe Edelman. In an essay for Medium he explains how tech companies create environments that push us to act against our values. So that, for example, it may be “harder to live by the value of honesty on Instagram, if honest posts get fewer likes”. He speaks about the rigid systems of software, which demand certain behaviour: “The coded structure of likes makes it harder to prioritize not relying on others’ opinions.” Nothing in the announcements made so far will really scratch the surface of these bigger questions about the way we use technology and why it’s making so many people anxious or miserable. Using less tech is an interesting start, but tech companies themselves seem unlikely policemen to make our interactions with software less damaging to society at large. They have not, for example, suggested that they less aggressively market a linked-up set of software and hardware that locks your entire life into their ecosystem. If anything, having your device tell you how bad you are at not using it seems like just another new metric at which we can fail (Lol). Let me know what you think of this in the comment section below.

New Ways to Delete Old Files In Windows 10
Last month’s update to Windows 10 added new tools for automatically and manually clearing clutter from your hard drive. Q. What is the difference between Disk Cleanup and Storage Sense to remove old files from Windows 10? A. Disk Cleanup is an older utility program that has been included with the operating system since the days of Windows 98. Until recently, the tool worked in Windows 10 much the same as it always did, scanning the drive and rounding up a list of all the unnecessary files and system detritus that you could delete with the click of a button. With a little extra work, Disk Cleanup could be set to run automatically, but some people chose to manually open and run the program when needed.
In the Storage Sense settings, you can decide how often you want Windows to self clean, or you can use the "Free up space now" option to instantly dig up and delete superfluous files. As Windows 10 has evolved, Microsoft has automated some of the housekeeping chores performed by Disk Cleanup and moved them into the system settings in a feature called Storage Sense. In the latest version of Windows 10, you can find Storage Sense by going to the Start menu, selecting Settings, choosing System and then, on the left side of the box, tapping or clicking on Storage. (Asking Cortana to open Settings or pressing the Windows and I keys on the keyboard to open the Settings box can save you some steps.) On the Storage screen, you can see how much space you have left on your drive and turn on Storage Sense, which automatically kicks in to delete temporary files and items in your Recycle Bin after a certain period of time. Click the “Change how we free up space automatically” link to adjust the settings for how often Storage Sense cleans out old files. The most recent version of the operating system, the Windows 10 April 2018 Update, arrived late last month and further demoted Disk Cleanup. Now, if you want to dump old files immediately, you can just click the Free Up Space Now link on the Storage settings screen. The newer tool works much like Disk Cleanup, but it lives in the Settings app and has what some consider to be a simpler interface that is more in line with the overall look of Windows 10. You can still find Disk Cleanup by using the search field on the Windows task bar, but the little program’s time as a separate Windows system utility may be winding down. Read the full article

How to Record Your iPhone Screen
How To Record Your iPhone Screen In iOS 11, you can record your iPhone screen or make a video of what’s happening directly on your phone at the moment — without having to install an extra app.
To prepare to capture the action on your iPhone screen in a video, edit your settings to add the Screen Recording button to your iOS Control Center, left, so that you have a Record button to tap when the time comes. Q. I know it’s possible to take a still photo of what is on the iPhone 7 screen, but is it possible to record a video of what you are doing? A. Apple includes a Screen Recording tool with its iOS 11 system to record the action on your iPhone screen, but you may need to enable it first. To do that, go to your iPhone’s home screen and open the Settings app. On the Settings screen, tap Control Center and then on Customize Controls. Scroll down past the Include list to More Controls and tap the green plus (+) button next to Screen Recording. Once you have added Screen Recording to the list, a circular “record” button will appear on your Control Center screen when you swipe up from the bottom of the screen. When you are ready to record your screen, swipe up to open the Control Center and press the Screen Recording button. If you want to include sound with the screen video, press the button until a menu pops up with the Microphone Audio option. Once you press the Screen Recording button, you will get a three-second countdown before the iPhone begins recording a video of the activity on its screen. The status bar at the top of the screen turns red while a recording is in progress. To stop recording, tap the red status bar or swipe up to tap the Screen Recording button again. The resultant video will land in the Photos app. You can snip off the beginning or end of the selected clip by tapping the Edit button, moving the sliders on either end and tapping the Done button. Recording of the iPhone screen is very possible. It helps vLoggers record how to use certain apps on the phone. This is to enable them post in on YouTube for a more practical tutorial instead of theoretical tutorials. You can also find several third-party apps in the App Store to record your screen. Android users can find similar screen recorders in the Google Play store. Read the full article

XBox Adaptive Controller Could Help Gamers With Disabilities
Microsoft on Thursday May 17th, introduced its new Xbox Adaptive Controller, designed specifically for gamers with disabilities. The new hardware can be used for game play with an Xbox One console or Windows 10 PC, and it offers Bluetooth plug-and-play compatibility. It supports Xbox Wireless Controller features such as button remapping, and it connects to external buttons, switches, joysticks and mounts. Microsoft developed the Xbox Adaptive Controller to enable gamers with physical disabilities to customize their respective setups. Microsoft partnered with several high-profile global organizations who are dedicated to providing accessibility to those with physical disabilities: The AbleGamers Charity, The Cerebral Palsy Foundation, Craig Hospital, SpecialEffect, and Warfighter Engaged. Microsoft developers also worked directly with gamers who have limited mobility. The Xbox Adaptive Controller will be available later this year for about US$100 which is approximately 36,100 Naira.
What Inspired The Making Of XBox Adaptive Controller ?
The inspiration for the Xbox Adaptive Controller was a 2014 social media post featuring a photo of a custom gaming controller made by Warfighter Engaged, a nonprofit organization that develops gaming controllers for disabled veterans. It caught the attention of a Microsoft engineer, which resulted in a hackathon at Microsoft's 2015 Ability Summit, where the first prototype of a controller for people with disabilities was developed. Now, three years later, the final product is about ready for the market. Unlike the standard unit that is held in two hands, the Xbox Adaptive Controller utilizes a flat yet compact design that allows it to rest on a table. In the place of small joysticks that typically are controlled with a user's thumb are two round light-touch-enabled pads that players can use by rolling their palms on them or pressing with their hands. These offer essentially the same level of precision as the thumb joysticks on a normal controller, but they have an added option of providing an audible cue for another layer of sensory input. The Xbox Adaptive Controller also features a standard D-pad, an Xbox power button, and a profile button that allows users to shift among several mapping options. Where the Xbox Adaptive Controller offers serious flexibility is in its ability to work with other existing accessibility tools, including those that offer air-power input methods or foot pedals. These can connect to one the 19 3.5mm ports on the back panel of the controller. Each of these devices can be mapped to the unit, and can be modified on the fly without even pausing the game.
As the Xbox Adaptive Controller is designed to allow for greater flexibility with other input devices, it also could be used for those who prefer something beyond the normal controllers. In some cases, it could lead to gamers trying to get a potentially unfair advantage. Read the full article

Since it acts as an intermediary between your computer and the websites you browse your real identity such as location and IP address remain obscured to the outside world. Some of the popular VPN proxies are listed below: 1. Hide My Ass VPN – Hide My Ass is one of the most popular VPN service for unblocking any website with ease. Download Hide My Ass VPN 2. VyprVPN – VyprVPN offers the world’s fastest VPN services backed by 30-day money back guarantee. Download VyprVPN How VPN Work? VPN proxies will hide your IP address by replacing it with a new IP that is tied to a different physical location from where the restricted website is available. In other words, if a website you are trying to access is not available from your network or country, a VPN proxy will assign you an IP from a different country thereby unblocking the website for you. You can select your origin to be from any country of your choice so that you can easily bypass restrictive censorship and unblock websites with ease. 2. Using Web Based Proxies Web based proxies can be handy for users looking for a simple and free solution to unblock websites. As most of these are available for free you need not pay for them to use. However, this advantage comes with a catch: many of these free services are slow, user privacy and security is questionable and users do not have a wide range of choice to select their desired IP location. The following are some of the web based proxy sites that you can try: Anonymouse EnglandProxy FilterBypass NewIPNow 3. Using a Translator Service Translator services such as Google Translator and Microsoft Translator can help you unblock your desired websites. These services act similar to proxy sites wherein they fetch the target site from within their own sites and display them on your screen. In our case Microsoft Translator is more easy to use and suitable for unblocking websites. All you need to do is just visit the Microsoft Translator and type in the URL of the target site you want to unblock in the left text box. Select ‘English’ as your target language and click on Translate. This should unblock the restricted website and load it from within the Microsoft Translator’s website. Enjoy Reading.. 4 Crucial Tricks to Keep You Safe Online
If you have been keeping up with the news headlines lately, then you are probably well-aware of how scary the internet has become. Identity theft and issues with cyber espionage are everywhere, while national spies and organized criminals appear to lurk around every corner. As technology continues to evolve at an astronomical rate, there are countless opportunities for cyber criminals to exploit those who don’t take the right precautions. Cybersecurity is now a common threat and something that businesses and individuals alike need to think about if they spend any amount of time online. Even when you think you are safe, you probably aren’t, and the more you know about the dangers of the online world, the more you can adjust your browsing strategies accordingly.
FOUR OF THE MOST IMPORTANT TIPS TO STAY SAFE ONLINE
Disable Cookies on Your Browser On the internet, cookies are files that store your information on your computer by websites. They contain small bits of text, like your user ID, and even your name or address. When configured in a certain way, a page can have a hidden link that saves specific settings on your computer using a cookie. For a lot of people, cookies can be useful, as they mean you do not have to constantly type in usernames and other crucial information. If you decide to clear your cookies, then you’ll automatically be logged out of any websites you are already connected with, and your browser will not remember any of the details or settings that you have added previously. However, as useful as cookies can be, they can also be used for more questionable activities. For instance, tracking and advertising networks often use cookies to keep up with users across the web. Additionally, third-parties can leverage cookies to gather crucial information from websites. Even forging cookies has enabled unwanted traffic to gain access to a user’s account. Avoid Public Wi-Fi When Surfing Secure Sites Convenience is key in today’s modern world. In fact, we are so desperate for instant gratification, that we will often do things at the expense of our security or safety. Using a free public Wi-Fi network, for instance, can come with various security risks. However, this survey show that an overwhelming number of Americans are happy to enter important details like bank passwords and credit card details on a public connection. Unfortunately, while public Wi-Fi might be useful, it is also extremely dangerous, because it comes without the encryption and security measures required to keep your data safe. There are plenty of tutorials online that can teach anyone how to tap into public Wi-Fi, and some of these have millions of views. One common method of attack is the “Man in the Middle” attack. With a Man-in-the-middle attack, traffic between a destination and user device is intercepted. However, there are plenty of reasons why Wi-Fi networks are unsafe. This does not necessarily mean that you need to avoid public Wi-Fi at all costs, it just means you need to know the pitfalls of logging into an unsecured network. Use a Reliable VPN While Online One of the easiest ways to secure your online safety is to use a Virtual Private Network. This is a group of discrete networks or computers connected together over the internet which can help to keep your browsing experience secure. Today, organizations use VPNs to connect their data centers, and many individuals use VPNs to access important resources when they’re not in the same LAN as their peers. When you connect to a VPN- you launch a client on your computer, or click a special link, then log in with your credentials, and your computer will exchange important keys with a server. Once both computers are authentically verified, all the internet communications between those computers are secured and encrypted. The most important thing you need to know about a VPN is that it secures your internet connection and guarantees that all of the data you send and receive is secured away from prying eyes. For instance, Express VPN is rated “Safe” by RMSH, which gives you the peace of mind of knowing that everything you do is protected online. Be Cautious with Emails Finally, some of the biggest gaps in the security experience online today, come because people in the business and consumer landscape do not know how dangerous an unsolicited email can be. There are many reasons to be cautious of your inbox in today’s cybercrime environment. For instance, some emails may be phishing scams, while others might contain malicious software and viruses. Files within messages might include web beacons, which discretely send messages back to the sender. Email attachments can be a common source of infection through an email. For instance, you can receive an email – even from someone you think you know, with a dangerous file that’s been disguised as a photo or document. At the same time, in an email, deceptive links can be sent to lead people towards spyware, phishing, and even ransomware scams. The easiest way to stay safe online is to avoid opening any emails that come from email addresses you do not know, while also making sure you have a security system in place to check your email attachments before you download them onto your computer. I will show you what GBWhatsApp and it's features are and how to get it. I am not into using a lot of third-party apps because I don’t use phone a lot rather I am a computer guy. But during my research for content ideas, I used to read a lot about GBWhatsApp which I ignored because it looked like an app that is not available in the Play Store. But, since it has been coming in front of me a lot of time, I thought to check it out once, and see what actually it is and what it does. And, that is why I thought to write a post about it too so that those who are still not unaware of it, will get to know about it.
What is GBWhatsApp?
Since the name includes the word WhatsApp, you must have gotten the idea that it is something related to WhatsApp. Haven’t you? Yes, you are right, it is something related to WhatsApp only. Actually, GBWhatsApp is a modded version of WhatsApp which is not developed by its official owners but by someone else. This version of WhatsApp works exactly like the original one but offers you a lot of options. In short, it is just the extended version of the official WhatsApp app. We all want a lot from the software or apps we use, but there are restrictions applied keeping the personal privacy and other things in the consideration. But, there are tools and some tricks that help us surpass those restrictions. And, GBWhatsApp does the same by giving a different version with extended features.
Features of GBWhatsApp You can send videos with sizes up to 50MB which you cannot do with official WhatsApp as the official version allows only up to the 16th. You can send up to 100 Images at once using GBWhatsApp, but in the official one, you cannot send more than 30 at once. You can hide your status, typing status, last seen, double ticks and blue ticks. You can set a group name with up to 35 characters which you cannot do with the official WhatsApp. You can change the theme of your WhatsApp and talk to others in more than 100 different languages. You can use two WhatsApp account on one Android Phone using GBWhatsApp. When you see someone’s status, he/she can see you on the list of people who have seen the statues, but with GBWhatsApp, you can hide your name from getting listed in that list. So that, others won’t know if you have seen their status. You can set auto-replies to send to your contacts. You can schedule messages, which is very beneficial for wishing your friends on their birthdays, anniversaries, etc. Just set a message and schedule for that particular day. These are just a few notable features of GBWhatsApp. It offers a huge number of features that you never get with the official app. This is what modded versions are all about. GBWhatsApp is the perfect modded version of the official version with extended features which make you have fun while using it. Is GBWhatsApp Safe? In most cases GBWhatsApp is safe, but since it is not official, there is no guarantee of anything. Thus, if you really require it, then only use otherwise use the official version and rest assured of your safety.
How to Download GBWhatsApp?
Since this is a modded version, you cannot find it on official Google Play Store, but you can get its APK file and install it on your Android phone. You can download the latest GBWhatsApp from Media fire and then install it on your Android device. How to Install GBWhatsApp on Android Phone? All Android phones are set to install the apps from official play store only, but you can make it install from other sources as well just by changing the settings. To do this, go to Settings >> Security and look for Unknown Sources. Enable this. By enabling this, you are allowing your phone to install apps from unknown sources as well. Now, tap on the GBWhatsApp APK file that you have downloaded, and proceed. It will ask you to verify your number just as you do with official WhatsApp. Do that and it will be installed. Isn’t the app is awesome? But, still, you have to use it on your own risk since it is not the official version.
Conclusion
Every one of us wants to have a lot of features in every app we use because being humans we always need more. WhatsApp offers only the main features that allow you to chat, call and exchange files with each other. But, GBWhatsApp extends every existing feature and also adds a lot of new features that give you goosebumps when you use it for the very first time.
