Last of my heart.

I kept on living to keep your heart from breaking, only to realize every breath I take and every word I utter broke you little by little anyways. Maybe I was the selfish one to think I was doing it all for you, now there's nothing I can do but apologize for never being enough.

For not being alive enough. For not being dead enough. For not being cowardly enough. For not being brave enough. For not being one or the other, for making a home on the thin line between both.

For being me. But neither mine, nor yours.

Now at the end of this road with nothing but a lump in my throat and regrets in my heart, I am letting last of my words go. Words of sorrow and well wishes, hoping you will find love somewhere in them. The love you never saw in me when I was right beside you.

I want to keep on writing, selfishly so, I cannot bring myself to end this. But this is as far as we go.
