Bed Sharing Scenarios

the bed is big enough for two people without touching, but unfortunately there is only one blanket

we’re roommates and you drunkenly passed out in my bed; move over I’m coming in

we have to sleep on the forest ground, so everything can be the bed, but we still sleep close, because we feel too exposed

you woke me up screaming from a nightmare, and I’m tired, so let’s cuddle so the nightmares don’t come anymore

we rented a place together with our friend group for vacation, but there are only double beds in every room and everyone else already found a sleeping partner

our cover is that we're a couple and it only makes sense to sleep in the same bed

we always used to have sleepovers as children, why would it be weird now?

like this cute ass mother fucking smile, like fuck you can see how much it meant to him. and he literally stops drinking, he stops isolating himself, he hangs out on deck showing off his new leg proudly because others had done something for him.

A Chance for Change news

tl;dr I’m editing the whole book currently and won’t be updating anything until the editing is all done. The edited book will be an entirely new book on my Wattpad and the one that is there now will be marked complete with disclaimers in the description and as a separate chapter at the end to let everyone know what’s going on!

Please read below though, for more details!

First, I want to make sure you all know that I have not given up on A Chance for Change. I have known the ending for a while (years) and it will continue as long as I need it to in order to reach that ending. Now, as many of you have been here from the beginning may know, I have never had a very consistent posting schedule. You could argue strongly that a schedule was, in fact, nonexistent. Haha. But then I went to college and updates all but stopped. I think I have posted a total of 5 chapters in the last four-ish years.

There are many factors that played into this: busy with schoolwork, mental health stuff and self-confidence related things. Writing became extremely difficult after my freshman year due to a terrible creative writing professor. But, now I’m back! Yay!

Because I haven’t written consistently in such a long time, I went back to the beginning of ACFC and began rereading. Getting back into Freya’s head was very easy (I missed her so much!!) and getting Loki’s voice back was as simple as making popcorn and binging some Marvel movies and rewatching the first few Loki episodes a bunch of times... Aha...

But as I read what I’d written about 5-6 years ago, I started noticing some things that bugged me. My writing has changed a bit and become more sophisticated so some of what I want to change is stylistic. I also came across a few scenes that I find problematic.

This is not going to be a quick endeavor. Doing the edits I want means going back through the whole thing. And then I realized I was editing more than I expected.

So, here’s the break down:

I’ve started from the beginning and am editing this book chapter by chapter. I’m doing this in a new document because I don’t want to lose the work I’ve done already. I want to see where I started and how I’ve grown. Also I wrote a lot of stuff that I like and I want to see how I got to those places, how hard some of the chapters were to write.

I’m a very sentimental person so I won’t overwrite my original book on Wattpad either! Therefore, I am going to publish a new book with the same name, almost the same description and a different cover. I’m going to mark the current A Chance for Change as complete with a note in the title, description and end of the book that lets everyone new know that the book is not actually finished.

In the new book:

The main story and major plot points ARE NOT CHANGING! So don’t worry. If you want to skip chapters you’ve already read, go for it. I don’t think you will be missing out on major details. If there is something big I need to change in the early chapters for whatever reason, I will post a message on Tumblr and my Wattpad page (without spoilers) directing y’all to the chapter you should read.

This is the only way I could think of doing this while still keeping the original there for anyone who wants to go back and read it or whatever. I don’t know. As I said, I’m very sentimental and deleting the original or completely writing over it feels wrong to me.

This rewrite won’t come out for a bit but it is coming. A new chapter will come out with it as well!
