what have they been putting off forever, even though it will only take 10 minutes?

Hi, I'm from Ukraine!

I live in Kyiv, and I am lucky to have a home and a job, and lucky to be alive. But that could change any moment, because there is no safe place in Ukraine as long as russia exists

tumblr is my safe haven and an island of anonymity for me. I don't post a lot about the war here, as i mostly reblog fandom stuff, one of the things that makes me happy and helps me stay sane

But i can't not post about it, because it's mine and millions of Ukrainians' day to day reality and we are collectively fighting for our freedom and right to live

Yes, it might not make the news in your country now, but we're still in the middle of a war that we didn't ask for. People die every day, houses are destroyed, there are air raid sirens, and you see obituaries of people you know every fucking day. This is our reality and we have to adapt to it to survive and not go crazy, but it's NOT OKAY. The world shouldn't be like this. We are NOT OKAY.

russia is still a terrorist state that should stop existing. Please stop supporting russian products, culture, business, sports, because otherwise you're endorsing this genocidal war.

Today in the morning I heard explosions. I had a doctor's appointment and was really scared of going out, but then I saw people in the streets, and had no messages that the appointment is cancelled, so decided to go. When I left the hospital, I heard two more loud explosions, so I rushed with some random people to the shelter - an underground parking lot. The atmosphere was really similar to the first day of war - people with kids, pets, everyone stressed, calling loved ones. There were more explosions. I couldn't stay there for long, so after an hour I decided to run home. At least home feels safer, and there's supplies. The air attack siren is still on, it's been almost 6 hours.

russian terrorists launched 70+ rockets, 40+ were destroyed by our defence forces. Multiple attacks in Kyiv city centre and critical infrastructure places. Lots of dead people. A rocket landed near my university, destroyed a museum. Another on a popular pedestrian bridge. Another one near the railway station. And this is only in Kyiv: multiple cities under attack, there is no electricity in some regions.

I want every russian to burn in hell. I need the world to see russia as the terrorist state they are. You should cancel russia right now, today, no business, no culture, nothing. They only bring death, destruction and pain. It's been 8 months of war, and it feels like it's going to last forever, at least until foreigners understand exactly the scale of evil we're dealing with here.
