Thanks @salonofficial for including me in their video about #chriscornell (see salon.com). When my husband woke me at 4 am with the CNN alert, I knew the show we'd planned -- which was to celebrate the legacy of another artist who left us on this date, Ian Curtis -- was out the window. Dreamcar is a No Doubt/AFI bromance (as evidenced here by Tom Dumont and Davey Havok). How I heart Orian Williams! I was unexpectedly emotional when we talked with Julian Lennon yesterday. He's such a deep and beautiful human being who's been an environmental activist since at least 1991, when be sang about climate change before it was even a thing in his song "Saltwater." Now he's published Touch The Earth, the first of a trilogy of children's books meant to get kids to care about their home planet from a young age.
