Last year it was oil pastels, this year it’s chalk. I always find that when learning a new medium it’s easier for me to copy than start from scratch. Borrowing her lush collection of pastels and an even more lush Diebenkorn book from my lovely friend @jean_wilkey, I translated Diebenkorn’s paintings to pastel drawings and had a great time.
