Mumbai Diaries : Nightlife

Mumbai, previously known as Bombay, is one of the most populous and biggest cities of Maharashtra. We all know that Mumbai is the capital of Maharashtra however, very few know that, this city was originally formed conjoining seven islands in the Arabian Sea namely Colaba, Fort, Byculla, Matunga, Worli, Parel and Mahim.

Mumbai is a place where one can really stay up all night and enjoy the buffet…

Anything for a cup of tea…

To an Indian mind, rain and a cup of tea go hand in hand. Monsoons arrive and we start craving for a piping hot cup of cutting chai (a cup of tea shared between two or more), with a plate full of samosas, bhajjiyas or pakodas that will clog our arteries while the rainwater clogs the drains. Perfect rain partners isn’t it?

So, monsoon has arrived in Mumbai, and it hasn’t stopped raining ever…

So, it’s another rain! And, I’m lost in the memory lane. In thoughts of someone who couldn’t understand my anguish. I was standing in this same rain last year, waiting to see… To see those twinkling eyes but who knew, it was all in vain. She came out of her hostel, all wrapped up and determined. She came closer, and said “it’s all over” like an insane.
