Dear Readers,
After months of going silent, going through one of the hardest times of my life while also one of the best, I am coming back to my blog page with different mindset, goals and aesthetic.
When I started writing on this blog I was a data science major and wanted to become a data analyst, now i switched majors to business management and currently my goal in life is to work either in trading or investment banking at one of the biggest firms in Europe.
In this blog, I will be posting my personal journey, tips on how to ace your classes, exams, public speaking. While also discussing the courses I am studying at university and also sharing my notes for anyone in need of it.
Besides that, for the past year I have been obsessed with stock exchange and have been trading. While sharing my journey of learning more about trading (+ soon cryptocurrency), I will also share tips (which I use) and tricks on how to make a guaranteed profit on stock market, figure out if it is something for you and how to navigate through this, which believe me took me a while to understand.
Even if no one reads it, I will be happy to continue this fun new hobby of mine and sharing everything I know which will be helpful to at least one person out there.
Xoxo,
Josie

Just finished Loki season 2 and I am going through many emotions right now. This so far is the best mcu tv show. I have so many emotions right now, happy and excited what loki has done and achieved but also sad and devastated for what that achievement caused.
This is the objective truth that loki is the best mcu character

Dear readers,
While I like to be productive and mostly post about it, just like everyone, I started to procrastinate like I used to. At first I felt guilty for not following my schedule like I used to do up until last week but then I stopped myself, took a step back, thought why did I suddenly started to procrastinate, when I found what the issue was, I started working on it (not so immediately since I was procrastinating over that as well).
What I am trying to say with this post is that even though we should be productive, work on ourselves to be better and do something useful for our society, we will have moments of weakness, or procrastination, or exhaustion. In my cause I had a burnout, I was planning everything ahead, doing more that was asked of me but didn’t rest enough and didn’t take care of myself enough.
In conclusion, work hard because it will be worth it in the future, but take care of yourself, make sure to rest, eat healthy, and ease yourself from unnecessary anxiety.
I haven’t been posting a lot since my midterms are coming up but I will try to write a post very soon about midterms, how to prepare for them and how to prevent having to study everything for the first time the night before the midterm (I know it’s hard believe me, i have done that so many times).
xoxo,
Josie

Dear readers,
Because of my (surprisingly and out of blue) amazing productivity I ended up having a lot more time for watching new movies and tv shows lately so I decided to share my top favourite movies (majority of them you have definitely watched and if not I highly recommend it) and also a small list of films and tv shows I want to watch.
My recommendation: (films)
- Oppenheimer
(Unlike many popular beliefs this film does not glorify atomic bombs, this film depicts Oppenheimer’s conflict of inventing one, how it was an amazing discovery but could also potentially end the human kind. Christopher Nolan is a genius and casting Cillian Murphy as Oppenheimer was the best decision ever)
- Inglorious Basterds
Definitely one of the best films ever. Can’t find any flaws (might be my subjective opinion but idc sue me)
- Interstellar
Another one of Christopher nolan’s masterpieces. Don’t know a person who hasn’t watched it and disliked it and i hope it stays that way.
- Marsian
Now this is not objectively amazing film like 3 mentioned before but it’s one of my personal favourites. It’s a sci-fi film about an astronaut who is stuck on mars. Spoiler alert: he survives. Highly recommend it.
- Dictator
This is nothing but hilarious. 10/10
Tv-shows:
- Peaky blinders
- BBC Sherlock
The best sherlock out there. Don’t agree? Bite me. You are wrong
- Gossip Girl
- Brooklyn 99
- The big bang theory
My to watch list:
- Anthropoid
- Dunkirk
- Jango
- Dead poets society
- The great debaters
- Black swan
- The riot club
- School ties
- Gilmore girls (currently watching)
xoxo,
josie

Dear readers,
After posting my first blog my page has been getting some engagement since yesterday which I am so thankful for. Hope you'll find this blog useful!
Maintaining good physical health
When it comes to health sometimes it can be pretty hard to maintain it, especially during university years. I remember what I used to eat during my first term of the first year, and just thinking about it makes me feel nauseated. I used to consume only processed food, eat late at night, barely consume necessary nutrients, etc. In this blog, i will discuss easy and more challenging but necessary ways of maintaining good health.
Let me know if you are interested in what I consume on a daily basis to maintain my health (which is very gym and nutrients based)
No processed foods
Now I know this can be really hard ( trust me I know) but consuming processed foods and processed foods only will do you no good and can cause serious health issues like it did to me. Last year I was on the verge of getting diabetes when I realised that my lifestyle is not healthy and only I can make it change. Minimise processed foods, consume it only when you are too tired or busy to make healthy food from scratch but make sure it does not become too frequent.
Start working out
"I'll start on Monday". Do not lie to yourself, you won't start on Monday, believe me, I know, I have been saying that for over 7 years. The beauty of fitness is having many options for workouts. Go to the gym, do pilates, and yoga, go for a run, bike around your city, go on daily walks, and play sports. DO SOMETHING! Do not be lazy.
Lower carbs and sugar
As we know consuming big amounts of sugar and carbs can cause many health issues + bloating (it's not fun). I am not telling you to cut it out completely, I am not a sociopath. But lower your sugar and carb consumption rates.
Eat healthy, You are what you eat
The phrase you are what you eat may not sound proper but it is the truth, the healthier you eat the better your quality of life will become. Make sure to consume fruits and vegetables, eggs for protein but if you do not like them like me, chicken and beef.
Smoking
As a long-time smoker, I will make it short. DO NOT DO IT. It does not make you look cool or edgy or mature which sadly it was too late when I figured it out. For my fellow smokers, if I ever figure out realistic ways of quitting I will share it with all of you.
Hope you find it helpful, if there is anything specific you would like to know do not hesitate to ask me.
xoxo, Josie

Hello readers,
If you are around my age you most likely are struggling with new university life, just like I did. So as an introduction to my blog, I will give you some tips on how to start your uni life and not make the same mistakes as I did.
Academics:
Never skip classes unless you are seriously ill.
Does not matter if your university is strict with attendance or not, attend all of the classes. Depending on your major even one absence can get you behind the course material. If you have to skip the class ask the professor if you can attend it online, or if they can record it. Ask your classmates for notes that they took (but not anyone, pick that person who is very organised, maybe a little bit nerdy, usually they are the ones with useful notes). Go to the TA sessions and open hours for the topics you did not understand fully.
Always go to office hours/TA sessions.
Even if you understand everything fully and there is no confusion, still attend those sessions. Professors and TAs notice your dedication and great discipline to their class and will definitely appreciate that. Depending on the grading system (if being active during class counts towards your grades) it may also benefit your GPA. If you do not have any questions, try to find some. If you did your assignments perfectly still go and ask what could be done to improve.
There are no stupid questions.
During my first year of uni, I was too embarrassed and shy to ask questions during class and in general since I had the fear that it would be too stupid or idiotic but that took away the chances of me learning and understanding my subjects on the deeper level. Believe me, no one will notice nor care about how stupid your questions are, everyone has the same fear and even more to worry about.
Never procrastinate
For many years of my life, I had a huge problem with procrastination, I never developed a discipline, was only counting on my motivation which I got away with during high school but in university there is no other option if you want to pass your courses. The day you get your assignment start working on it, even if the deadline is not until next month. For example, I already started to brainstorm and work on my final projects for the courses.
Take care of your physical and mental health. I will post more about maintaining good health, time management, fashion, self-care routines and balancing social life with the hectic university schedule.
xoxo, Josie
