When people think about special education, they sometimes think about separate classes or schools. But public schools are supposed to have kids who get special education services learn in the same classrooms as other kids as much as possible. Unless there’s a strong reason, kids should be in those general education classrooms. The word environment makes it sound like a place. But where a child learns is only part of the equation. LRE applies to a student’s entire education program, including services.

very part of the IEP is important. The goals and objectives section of your child’s IEP is where your team lays out clear, actionable goals for your child’s educational progress in the year ahead. Goals and objectives aren’t synonymous. A goal is specific and measurable.

Hi, my name is Jamie!
I have been a special education teacher for eight years. I have written over 100 IEPs and consulted with co-workers to help improve theirs.
I want to help as many elementary school parents as I can be confindent about their child's IEP. I aim to achieve this by constantly collaborating and providing exceptional services that exceed my clients' expectations.
I'm a proud member of the Master IEP Coach® Network. Being a Master IEP Coach® and supporting parents through the IEP process brings me such happiness. I give parents tools to help them to understand their child’s IEP process. This helps parents to be confident in to speak during a meeting. I love being able to give parents a voice. Having a voice allows them to collaborate with their IEP Teammates. This helps create a better team and an even better IEP. Being a team and supporting the child is what it is all about!
I can't wait to help you!!
