hey I'm Jamie, I used to use poetry and music to cope and express myself since I am able to remember. Maybe you can recognise parts of you in my poems

Unheard Echoes
In the quiet corners of my soul, I stand,
Non-binary, a blend of shadows and light,
Masculine appearance, a resilient hand,
Yet misgendered, an incessant fight.
By the one closest, my heart’s dear embrace,
He calls me "honey," "my love"—these names,
But my chosen name, it’s a sacred place,
Lost in the echoes, consumed by flames.
In moments, to others, I voice my plea,
“My name is Jamie, please call me so,”
But minutes later, he denies me,
A woman in his eyes, a hurtful blow.
My words, it seems, fall on deaf ears,
A cascade of invalidation and pain,
Each misstep, a testament to fears,
That my worth, to him, is in vain.
Yet within me, a fire fiercely burns,
A testament to who I truly am,
For every misstep, my spirit learns,
To rise, to assert, to stand firm again.

Jamie and Me - A Dual Symphony
Tumblr media
Deep within my soul, there lies a truth,
A story untold, since the days of my youth.
I am Jamie, and Jamie is me,
A spirit unbound, longing to be free.
I am Jamie, and Jamie is me,
A symphony of freedom, wild and rich.
One day I'll break free,
And Jamie and I will dance in the sunshine, as me.
Born in a form, society decrees,
Yet within me stirs a different breeze.
A non-binary soul, neither he nor she,
In the mirror, Jamie’s eyes looking back at me.
Not feminine, nor do I aspire to be,
My appearance doesn't reflect the soul in me.
Jamie, my reflection, slim and strong,
An expression of freedom, bright and bold.
My voice, a low melody, echoes his sound,
In our shared gaze, a kinship is found.
But society’s gaze, with its rigid frame,
Forces Jamie into shadows, a hidden flame.
In moments of loneliness, in the night,
Jamie appears, brave and bright.
In public, hidden behind masks,
Jamie’s call is heard, softly but strong.
He roars and rages, against the bars,
Yearning for freedom, to be amongst the stars.
Yet, in the crowd’s eyes, I must play my part,
While Jamie’s whispers echo in my heart.
Two names I bear, two sides of my world, Each with stories life has told.
When alone, Jamie dances, free and unbound,
But in the public eye, he barely makes a sound.
All I want is to be free
I am Jamie and Jamie is me
