She slowly fell apart, piece by piece. And all she ever did was to keep putting the pieces back. Until one day, she searched for a new missing piece and realized that nothing fell out since she last checked. She was complete.

And she cried colorful tears.

And just like that, she got up from her knees. She raised her head and stretched it into the storm. Rain pelted on her face and cold wind bit her cheeks. She would live.

What was broken could be fixed.

'You'll be okay', she whispered to herself, using his voice as he was not there to say the words himself.

Maybe that was as close to independence and self-sufficiency as she would get.

And who was he? He was the one that hurt her, lied to her and made false promises - the one that left her. He might be the first man that took more from her than she could give without breaking: himself. And while she eventually got up from kneeling in the footprints he left behind and put her pieces back together, she never stopped talking about him like he put the stars in the sky. Her eyes never stopped sparkling in reflection of the starry sky as she did. She never stopped smiling when she talked about him, and meanwhile the light he had created shone down on her cheeks and made them radiate. She never stopped loving him. Who he was?

He was her whole world.

Arabic noun. Literally means ‘you bury me’, meaning that you hope you will die before the other person as you could not bear to live without them.   Supposed to be romantic. 

I think it’s kinda selfish to be honest. - I want you to bear the pain of my loss as I can’t bear the pain of yours.
