❄ First and foremost, hey! This is a literate roleplay blog for Jack Frost. Obviously, I'll be roleplaying, but that also means that questions from non-roleplayers are also always welcome. Whether it's a question about Jack, the Rise of the Guardians, or you want to have Jack's opinion about something, please feel free! All responses from me won't ever be more mature than PG-13. Thanks! ❄

Once Merida landed on the grass, she collapsed and felt the goodness of not dying. "Sweet grass." She glared at Jack "Stop laughen'!" She shouted. "I dunno, maybe! Ah said ah would mawl ye before so!" She flopped on her back, staring at the bright moon. "Ah woulden' be saprised ef ya ded let me die.."
Now that struck a heart-string or two. Wouldn't be surprised? Did he seem that heartless?
"Aw, c'mon Merrie. I'm sure no one would let you get hurt. Especially not a Guardian like me!"

Jack couldn't even begin to describe how healing a simple embrace like that was. His stiff composure instantaneously melted into a relaxed one, the muscles in his body losing their rigidity. His skin tingling and the chocolate hairs on his scalp standing on end, the human closed his eyes, relishing the feeling as he laid his own hands over her arms. It was amazing how something so simple could have such a huge impact on him. How something so minor could make him feel so overwhelmingly happy in a night that was filled with chaos and disorder. Maybe it was just the fact that he was more in tune with his human emotions now--one hundred percent, in fact--or maybe it was just her powers. After all, she was the Guardian of Summer. It made sense that she could make him feel so intensely warm on the inside.
Eventually, once the feeling began to die down slightly, Jack broke away from her, only to turn around and draw her to his figure. At this point, the former Guardian could already feel her, more or less, trembling. For what reason, he couldn't deduce, given the fact that her face was pressed fast to his chest. Sighing, and for once, his breath leaving his nostrils as warm air, he tangled his fingers in her soft, yet slightly unkempt hair. He didn't mind it at all, however, because he was sure he looked the exact same. Resting his chin on the top of her head, he continued to comb his fingers through her locks since it was the only way he really knew how to make her feel better. Brushing the strands away from her hairline and ears and lightly grasping her head in both of his hands, he eventually pressed his lips to her forehead.
"Thank you," he spoke lowly, glancing down at the Guardian that had her arms wrapped so securely around his midsection. His head tilting just a fraction of an inch to the side, he inspected her features thoroughly, a level of concern shown in his eyes. "You okay?" Feeling as if she wasn't, he stooped to a knee, unzipping his worn backpack and pulling out a folded fleece blanket. Wrapping the smooth fabric around her shoulders, he instinctively picked up his meaningless staff and crossed the room to close the classroom door--doing the same to the window--double-checking to see to it that they were locked securely. He didn't want anything getting in with how dangerous their night had been so far.
Finally, taking a seat on the carpeted floor next to his one and only companion, he tried to get comfortable. Immediately, his weary body began to coo him to sleep. Notwithstanding, he wouldn't dare close his eyes until she was safe at his side and he was certain she was asleep. He didn't have to wait for long though, because she soon knelt down next to him. Eyeing the way she looked all bundled up in her blanket, he just couldn't help smile genuinely at her for the first time in God knows how long. Reaching out and setting his hand on the top of her head, he ruffled her hair lightly, feeling unbelievably at-peace for the circumstances they were faced with. He was no longer immortal. They were both injured. Surrounded completely in a world of the undead that wanted to consume every ounce of flesh they had to offer. And somehow, all of that didn't quite matter anymore. His aches and pains could wait. All that really seemed to be of any importance was these fleeting moments. Amidst all of the confusion surrounding them, she was the only thing that still made complete sense.
Bloody Hands and Rusty Pistols
]The spirit had to agree that it did look a whole lot safer. Based on how things seemed so far, the place was deserted by all but the occasional bug and mild breeze. Turning his head in all ways, he began to inspect the grounds of the worn-and-torn school. Quiet, yes. Secure, maybe. His cautious guess was that, if they didn’t make any noise, they would have a good chance of being safe for long enough to survive the night.
Shrinking into the darker areas of the halls, just in case one of the walkers did still have its sight, Jack warily checked his surroundings once again, hoping that they still had the energy left to search for a secure location. Inspecting one of the bathrooms for the undead, his broad line of sight crossed a piece of broken mirror on the adjacent walls, instantly catching sight of Litha’s reflection. And had he been paying any less attention, he wouldn’t have caught the dim shimmer of the rouge liquid on her lips. Just as he was about to turn to give himself a clear idea of what it truly was, he caught sight of mocha locks in the reflective glass, something he was far from recognizing. And just as he was about to reach for his weapon to strike the foreign body, he soon realized that the figure followed his own actions, grabbing as well for the hunting knife strapped to his hip. Halting, he finally had a fair chance to look at who it really turned out to be. To his horror, it was none other than a face he’d known for as long as he could remember.
Himself.
Taken aback by the sudden realization that it was him, his initial reaction was to examine. Stepping over a small, messy pile of rubble, his used-to-be raven-grey brows furrowed with an unfamiliar brown tint. For a second, he nearly laughed as his lips beginning to pull into a grin, thinking that maybe he was that far gone into insanity that he was starting to hallucinate. However, it wasn’t the case. His skin’s white hue? Gone. Cold body temperature? Gone. Taking a closer look at his eyes as well, he noted that they’d changed to a solid whiskey color, not even a fiber of icy blue left to show what he had been before. Who he had been before. His orbs widened in terror or shock—maybe a combination of both.
He wasn’t Jack Frost anymore. What was left was a mere shadow of it. No, what stood on the other side of the mirror was nothing more than Jackson Overland.
Feeling like the wind had been knocked clear out of his diaphragm, he turned away from the abomination in the mirror. Recomposing himself, since he couldn’t bear to pass on the nervous breakdown to Litha, he hid the sickening emotion behind another mask of nonchalance. He may not have been Jack Frost anymore, but he still knew how to do as much. Looking over the girl’s lips, which he now realized were cracked due to exposure, he dug into his pocket for a small container filled with conglomerated oils. Twisting the cap off with ease, he quickly smoothed the moisture-sealing mixture onto the split in skin and around the affected area. Tucking the lock of hair that seemed to have an uncanny tendency to fall into her face behind her ear, he set the small sealed object in her palm. They had to get a move-on if they were ever going to get any rest at all and escape from this hellish nightmare.
“C’mon.”

"Oh, by Odin!" Merida panicked as Jack caught her. She swung her arms around Jack's neck, making sure to keep a grasp on him. She would've fell face first to the ground if it wasn't for Jack. For that, she was grateful. Merida kept an eye on the ground, terrified, thinking she would suddenly fall again. "Thank you, Jack! Please don' drop meh!" she muttered. "Oh, Lord ah almost died...."
The Guardian of Fun couldn't help but continue to laugh. Touching down on the grass, he set her down as well, nearly doubling over in his cackling. "What did I just tell you?" he asked rhetorically, his words broken by his choked breathing. Trying as hard as he could to calm down, he continued to chuckle quite dramatically. "There's no reason to get so scared. You think I'm going to let you die?"

Merida took her supporting hand off the trunk of the tree and put both hands on her hips. "No! Ah'm jost not sure ef-- woah!" Merida lost balance on the branch she was standing on and, out of reflex, grasped the first thing she could, which was Jack's hand.
Catching her as fast as he saw her falling, he lurched forward to do so securely. Having her not only by the hand, but also by the torso, he floated down towards the ground, laughing hard. "That is what I won't let you do."

Merida changed her attitude from angry and slightly annoyed to curious. She raised an eyebrow and stared at the Frosty boy in hesitation. After a moment of thought and silence, she answered. ".... ye won't drop me, then?" she asked, still unsure of this idea.
"Would I lie to you? Of course I won't drop you! C'mon, it'll be fun!" Outstretching his hand to her, he turned his palm up in an invitation. When he still saw her hesitation, he smirked deviously. "What? You're not getting all shy on me now, are you?"

Merida stood on the branch, grasping the trunk with one hand as she furrowed her eyes. "Ya know ah can't. Bot tha' doesn't mean ah won't hunt you down ef ye go flyen' off!" she pointed a stern finger at him. "Ah swear, ef ah /could/ fly, ah'd mawl ye right out ef the sky!"
Jack cringed at the word 'maul.' It certainly didn't sound too pleasant, and he didn't even want to picture that in his mind. Changing the subject, he lifted his brows in question.
"In that case, want to go for a fly then? How about it? I promise I won't drop you."

"JACK!" She shouted as she grabbed her few frozen curls of hair. "Mah haer.... you'll pe' fer tha'! Ya think ah can't catch ya, eh?" She started climbing the tree and grabbed the branch in front of Jack's, "Ah'll have you know, tha' ah've climbed a rock pillar before!"
Immediately once she shouted at him, he knew he'd gone a little too far. However, that still wouldn't quite stop him from having his fun.
"Whoops," he muttered under his breath, watching as she practically clambered up the tree to get her revenge. Taking a small step back into simply air, a bit of uplifting Wind ruffled his clothing and hair. "Alright, I'll give you that one. But can you fly?"
