"The time for fence-sitting is past, and feminists must take a stand: will we continue to pursue 'equal opportunity domination' while the planet burns? Or will we reimagine gender justice in an anticapitalist form - one that leads beyond the present crisis to a new society?"

“Unaffordable housing, poverty wages, inadequate healthcare, border policing, climate change—these are not what you ordinarily hear feminists talking about. But aren’t they the biggest issues for the vast majority of women around the globe?”

Abortion rights are under attack, and it’s time to fight back.
If you think this is just about Texas or ‘red’ states, you’re wrong. Attacks on abortion anywhere are a threat to our rights everywhere. Today Texas’ SB8 takes effect. This dangerous and extreme law bans abortion as early as six weeks (way before most people even know they’re pregnant) and includes an unprecedent provision that allows private individuals - including anti-abortion protestors - to file lawsuits enforcing the bans. There’s even a monetary reward - up to $10,000 - for successful lawsuits. There have been over 90 abortion restrictions enacted this year alone - more than any year since Roe v. Wade was decided in 1973. It’s time to raise the alarm - keep #bansoffourbodies. What can you do? Follow and donate to: West Fund, @BuckleBunniesFundTX (Instagram & Twitter), Jane’s Due Process, The Bridge Collective ATX, Fund Texas Choice, @LaFronteraFund (on Twitter), Texas Equal Access Fund - TEA Fund, The Lilith Fund for Reproductive Equity, Clinic Access Support Network & The Afiya Center.Sending love and access to all Texans.

Our home is in a devastating situation and the people at the top who are responsible for most of the earth's emissions are allowed to carry on unchecked. Recently, the IPCC report revealed shocking facts about the state of the #climateemergency. Here's the summary of their findings.
There has been a lot of discussion on what needs to happen next. From mass boycotting of big oil and coal companies to protest against governments that enable destruction to go on, there are many things that should happen to fight this crisis. 🌎 What do you think is the most important thing to do right now?

Most people will agree that art and politics go together hand in hand. Historically, art has been often used as a commentary on politics. From centuries-old paintings of famous battles and wars, to modern age craftivism and political murals, art has and still is an influential medium for communicating political and social ideas and an alternative way for people to engage in protest.

“The Queen’s speech to parliament has gone mostly unnoticed in the news cycle – drowned out by the noise from F35s and rocket fire in the Gaza strip. Embedded in this speech, written by the government, and read by the Queen with all the duty and sincerity of a pre-recorded dial tone on a technical support hotline, was a grotesque cavalcade of anti-democratic proposals that would set British democracy back a century.” (Follow the link to read more).

‘What are you doing?’ a Poem on Women’s Safety, by Diana Cristurean
It has been a painful and extremely disappointing few weeks for women’s safety. Women from across the globe have come together in support of each other, but also in despair at the state of their rights and the endemic lack of respect from men. (read more at www.inksight.co.uk)
