All the Sloths (Plural Flag) - Pride Sloths
Bit of an unusual one today - a disability/mental health flag, rather than a sexuality one. This is (one of the proposed) Plural flags - for people who live as part of multiple systems, whether disordered or not. I'm not an expert on the subject, so I don't want to speak out of turn!
I couldn't find any info about why these colours in specific were chosen, but it's a really unique looking flag! [Image description: Four cartoon sloths standing bipedally in a line, each with a Plural Pride flag in some way or another. The first one wears the flag as a cape; the second one is holding the flag on a stick; the third one is waving it in the air; the fourth one is holding the flag up in front of itself. The sloths are all slightly different shades of brown. The Plural Pride Flag is made up of five stripes: pale blue, darker blue, yellow, green and purple.]

All the Sloths (Sapphic Flag) - Pride Sloths
I know there's a version of this flag out there with a much more complicated flower on it, but 1. my understanding is that this one was proposed as one that was easier to read at a distance and 2. let's be honest, the sloths suit a much simpler flower. (Also 3. this one was easier to draw…) [Image description: Four cartoon sloths standing bipedally in a line, each with a Sapphic Pride flag in some way or another. The first one wears the flag as a cape; the second one is holding the flag on a stick; the third one is waving it in the air; the fourth one is holding the flag up in front of itself. The sloths are all slightly different shades of brown. The Sapphic Pride Flag has three thick stripes - pink, white, pink - with a simple five-petal flower in lavender in the middle of the flag.]

All the Sloths (Intersex Flag) - Pride Sloths
I honestly meant to do the intersex flag a lot earlier in the series - they're a super under-represented group, and I've been trying to make sure I'm representing those who go unrepresented. (Also, the flag is like, super easy to draw.) [Image description: Four cartoon sloths standing bipedally in a line, each with an Intersex Pride flag in some way or another. The first one wears the flag as a cape; the second one is holding the flag on a stick; the third one is waving it in the air; the fourth one is holding the flag up in front of itself. The sloths are all slightly different shades of brown. The Intersex Pride Flag consists of a purple circle centred on a yellow field.]

All the Sloths (Bi4Bi Flag) - Pride Sloths
Another specific request today! (From @bi-dykes-on-bikes ) This is one I wasn't at all familiar with, and when I went looking it up, it looks like there's a couple different ideas of a Bi4Bi flag kicking around. [Image description: Four cartoon sloths standing bipedally in a line, each with a Bi for Bi Pride flag in some way or another. The first one wears the flag as a cape; the second one is holding the flag on a stick; the third one is waving it in the air; the fourth one is holding the flag up in front of itself. The sloths are all slightly different shades of brown. The Bi for Bi Pride Flag is made up of 7 stripes, with a pair of crescent moons "back to back" in the centre. The top three and bottom three are the same width, but the middle stripe is thinner. The stripes are in lavender, periwinkle blue, pale blue, pale pink, pink, purple and indigo. The pair of crescent moons are in white.]

All the Sloths (AroAce Flag) - Pride Sloths
This was one that was suggested specifically - I'm sure I've seen a different flag for AroAce in the past, but when I went to look it up, this one does seem to be the one most folks have converged on!
(If there is another AroAce flag that you'd like to see, let me know! Or, heck, if there's any other flags at all you'd like to see!) [Image description: Four cartoon sloths standing bipedally in a line, each with an AroAce Pride flag in some way or another. The first one wears the flag as a cape; the second one is holding the flag on a stick; the third one is waving it in the air; the fourth one is holding the flag up in front of itself. The sloths are all slightly different shades of brown. The AroAce Pride Flag is made up of five stripes: dark orange, light orange, white, light blue and dark blue.]

All the Sloths (Labrys Lesbian) - Pride Sloths
Bit of a contentious one today - I want to start by saying that while I know there was a period of time where TERFs were the ones primarily using this flag, I stand against them, and think that they don't deserve such a kick-ass flag.
The Labrys was the very first lesbian-specific pride flag, and it's an important part of LGBTQ+ history, and I think it deserves a moment in the limelight. (Whether it's fully-reclaimable isn't up to me, as I'm not a lesbian and never have been.)
So to sum it up: having an axe on a Pride flag is kick ass, trans people are people and belong in the LGBTQ+ communities they want to belong in, and if there are any TERFs following me, the door is right there. [Image description: Four cartoon sloths standing bipedally in a line, each with a Labrys Pride flag in some way or another. The first one wears the flag as a cape; the second one is holding the flag on a stick; the third one is waving it in the air; the fourth one is holding the flag up in front of itself. The sloths are all slightly different shades of brown. The Labrys Pride Flag has a light purple background, with a black triangle in the centre. The triangle is pointing down, so that the flat edge is parallel to the top of the flag. Centred in the triangle is a white silouhette of a double headed axe.]

All the Sloths (Pi Polyamorous) - Pride Sloths
I did not expect to have as much trouble with the pi symbols as I did for this one! Being zoomed in on the stark red stripe probably didn't help… [Image description: Four cartoon sloths standing bipedally in a line, each with a Pi Polyamorous Pride flag in some way or another. The sloths are all slightly different shades of brown. The Pi Polyamorous Pride Flag has three thick stripes: blue, red, and black. In the centre of the flag is a yellow pi symbol.]

All the Sloths (Agender Flag) - Pride Sloths
Another green and grey flag today! For some reason I really struggled with getting the stripe widths right here so forgive me for the wonkiness! [Image description: Four cartoon sloths standing bipedally in a line, each with an Agender Pride flag in some way or another. The first one wears the flag as a cape; the second one is holding the flag on a stick; the third one is waving it in the air; the fourth one is holding the flag up in front of itself. Elja Raniwesfv (FFXIV Warrior of Light) - Art Nouveau Commission
This is @castaras 's Warrior of Light from Final Fantasy XIV (now free to play, etc…). We packed as much meaning into this bad boy as we could! From the little crystla in his hand, to the city behind him, to, of course, all the various flowers. I'm not 100% sure this is the most flowers I've packed into an illustration, but it's definitely up there!
The flowers here are: Persicaria - Restoration Snowdrops - Spring after Winter, Hope Nightshade - Dark thoughts / truth / falsehood Forget me nots - Forget me not (natch!) Ivy Geranium - New love (your hand for the next dance) Celandine - The future / future joy Cornoilla - Success / Victory Scabiosa - Unfortunate love / I have lost all Eucalyptus - Protection White Heather - Protection Juniper - Protection [Image description: An art nouveau pastiche image, featuring a young man with long hair and bunny ears. The background is made up of a circle (with a city scape) in the top left, a curvy rectangle (with a scene of snowdrops) in the bottom right, and a pillar with purple flowers growing up it along the left. The man is sititng on the rectangle and leaning back against the pillar, with his right leg drawn up, and his right arm oustretched, resting on his knee. He is wearing an outfit of mostly yellows and reds, with black trousers. Both his hands have sprays of flowers in them. The purple flowers from the pillar are also growing around his left arm. He's looking off towards the city in the circle, almost like it's a window.]

Eriu, Fodla & Banba - Art Nouveau Commission
These are the client's three rats: Eriu, the escape artist (left, mostly white); Fodla, the dominant rat (centre, grey); and Banba, the nervous one (right, white and grey).
In all of my sketching we kept Fodla centred, and Eriu was always breaking the border in some way - trying to escape even the art! - and Banba was always holding onto the border in some way.
As always with my art nouveau, the plants all have meanings - though the mint and basil were chosen more because they're treats the rats enjoy eating than their specific language!
Top left: Sweet Basil (Good wishes) Top right: Mint (Virtue) Bottom left: Mountain ash (With me you are safe) Bottom right: Balm of Gilead (Healing / relief) Circles: Wood sorrell (Joy) [Image description: A square image featuring the three rats described above. The background is a central circular element with four roughly triangular shaped corners floating outside it. The centre circle has a series of smaller circles in it which contain the wood sorrel. Each of the corners has the listed flower, all drawn so that they're growing outside the borders of their triangles. Eriu is crawling up the side of the circle and seems to be reaching outside of it. Fodla is sat in the centre, looking calm. Banba is crawling down the side of the circle, holding onto it tightly. She looks more nervous than the other two. Their tails are all breaking the border of the circle and curling around and outside of it.]

And here's the actual sketch, for those who prefer not to watch videos! [Image description: Three cartoon animals on a white background. They're all drawn in a fairly loose way, and the colours are often overlapping the lines. All three animals are facing the left hand side of the image, and are stood up on their back legs, in a vaguely anthropomorphic way. On the left is a short claw otter, holding its hands in front of its torso politely. In the middle is a hippopotamus who is clearly smiling, with their hands on their hips. On the right is a pigeon, with its wings outstretched kind of like arms reaching forward.]

I've spent the last week or two slowly re-updating the etsy shop. I took it on holdiay during Covid, and just never quite managed to get it going again... until now!
Sloth Wedding Cards are up there, as is the remaining stock of the Pride Party (Discounted, in an attempt to clear the stock so I can start working on redoing them!). And, as a special treat, I've put up the last of my watercolour postcards from when I was last doing the con circuit - again, I want to get a fresh start on those before I start doing cons again!

Spent a chunk of today practicing drawing different animals than my sloths - gotta stretch those art muscles, you know! So here, have a badger, an armadillo, an axolotl, a hedgehog and an elephant shrew.
Expect more of these in the future - I've got a whole list of little guys to work through, and feel free to suggest more critters! [Image description: A white background with five animals drawn on it digitally. All five animals are drawn in a cartoony way, standing on their back legs (or sitting down in the case of the hedgehog). They're all facing the left hand side of the image. They're coloured very roughly, with blobs of colour outside the lines. in a lot of places, faint sketching lines are visible behind the finished pictures. On the top left is a european badger; the bottom left is an armadillo. In the middle of the page is an axolotl. On the top right is a hedgehog, and on the bottom right is a black and rufous elephant shrew.]
