Wine theme modern street Art in Lviv city, Ukraine. Several atmospheric wine boutiques were around. I liked to drop in as a city guide during wine tours and to hang out with my best friends in late evenings.
Street "accessories" in general were a strong point in Lviv, when murals, cafe signs, terrace furniture, lanterns, flowers and other outfit added so much to what the city already offered: great architecture, rich history and firm traditions.

Norway's coastline is a marvel of nature, filled with breathtaking fjords, rugged cliffs, picturesque islands and cozy beaches.
Location: Ulsteinvik, Møre Og Romsdal
A few facts about this stunning Scandinavian shore!
Norway boasts an impressive coastline that stretches over 100,000 kilometers (62,000 miles) when including all its fjords and islands. This makes it one of the longest coastlines in the world, despite Norway's relatively small land area.
Norway's coastline is dotted with over 50,000 islands, each with its own unique charm. The Lofoten Islands, with their dramatic peaks and picturesque fishing villages, are particularly famous among tourists and photographers.
Parts of the Norwegian coastline lie above the Arctic Circle, offering the unique phenomena of the Midnight Sun in summer and Polar Nights in winter. This means you can experience 24 hours of daylight or darkness, depending on when you visit.
The Norwegian coast is teeming with diverse marine life. You can spot whales, seals, and even killer whales in certain areas. The cold, nutrient-rich waters also support a thriving fishing industry, with cod, herring, and salmon being some of the most important catches.
From its sheer length to its natural wonders and unique experiences, the Norwegian coastline is truly a treasure trove for travelers. Whether you're seeking adventure, tranquility, or simply breathtaking views, Norway's coast has something for everyone.

Museum mood and its senses
There's something magical about wandering through the halls of a grand museum. As you step into the vast, dimly lit rooms, a hushed silence envelops you, broken only by the soft echoes of footsteps on polished floors.
The air is thick with history and reverence. Paintings, sculptures, and artifacts from bygone eras fill the space. Each piece can tell a story...
In the soft, ambient lighting, colors seem more vivid, textures more pronounced. You find yourself drawn to intricate details you might have missed in harsher illumination - the delicate brushstrokes of a master painter, the weathered patina of an ancient bronze, the subtle play of light and shadow in a marble sculpture or in the window curtains...

Minimalistic but yet elegantly served breakfast set in a tiny domestic hotel in Turkey.
It's that soulful aesthetic and human touch that turns a simple breakfast into a cherished memory. 💖
Photo by Ihor Kuternoha. Taken in August, 2020 in Uçhisar town, Cappadocia, Turkey.
P.S.
"You should take photos of your food if it impresses you, - said my friend Ogüz one day when we were sitting in a cafe, - thus you'll feel aftertaste in years, when the time passes by. So you can "eat it" more than once".

The stoic elegance
I like the combination of winter sun, good piece of classicism and red rowan berries upon it. Cute mascarones seen in right lower corner spice up the scenery and deserve a separate post.
The building of the Natural History Museum in Lviv, Ukraine looks like a true city palace. It was once a property of Dzieduszycki noble family with rich private collections finally gifted to the city. 30 years ago it closed for the big renovation which is still going on.
I dream to enter it one day to see the unique old mechanical elevator, moved by hands from inside the cabin (the owner worked till late night and didn't want to embarrass the servants), the famous prehistoric rhino, once found in the layer of ozokerite in Carpathian Mountains, the famous collection of butterflies and so much more...

I came across this hawthorn tree full of red berries in Oslo botanical garden.
Hawthorn berries are not only beautiful but also edible and have been used in traditional medicine for centuries. The berries are rich in antioxidants and have been linked to potential heart health benefits.
Hawthorn is part of the rose family and can live for up to 400 years.

This corn cobs looked so cute, I couldn't pass by without taking a shot. Location: Bukovel, Ukrainian Carpathian Mountains.
Local highlanders use a lot o corn in their cuisine, incl. legendary Banosh, based on corn mill and sour cream. The latter is often referred as the Carpathian powerful energizer, especially loved by Hutsuls, a Carpathian ethnic group.
A few facts to add to the theme:
Corn is highly domesticated: Modern corn varieties have been selectively bred over thousands of years and differ greatly from their wild ancestors.
corn is a prime example of a plant that has become highly dependent on human cultivation

This TV tower in Lviv city, Ukraine is only 198 m. high. Location on the 389 m. high hill gives it a great transmitting capacity that reached Moscow in 1957 and created obstacles on soviet broadcasting. They had to change the frequency to solve the case.
During the visit o Pope John Paul II to Lviv in 2001 the tower got a beautiful night illumination. But it's obscure now because of the war in Ukraine.
I'm having profile on picfair.com with many beautiful photos. But only this one was marked out by admin. Do you have an idea why?
