Your hands shook where they rested by your sides, it was nothing noticeable. Just the slightest movement that one had to look for to notice at all. Despite the inconspicuous nervousness running through you, the weight of your own nerves was suffocating. 

Hushed conversations put you on edge, words mumbling together as bits and pieces of conversations filtered through your head without permission. Your over-alert mind picking up even the quietest of mumblings. A word far too close to your name was uttered, a stranger's eyes flitting to you briefly before looking away once again.

They knew, your mind lied. Eyes swiftly darted across the room you were in raking through the crowd of faces surrounding you. It was so loud. Stranger’s words meld together as you tried to focus on anything but the unfamiliar eyes briefly meeting your own. In that brief moment, your face flushed uncomfortably, every muscle in your body going rigid. 

Phantom eyes lingered on your body, every small movement sending your mind into overdrive, worries short-circuiting your brain. Thoughts rushed by faster than you could process your own breathing feeling constricting and tight. They knew– your breathing was picking up. Chest rising and falling unevenly. 

Was your breathing always this loud?

Curling back into yourself you focused on your lungs– inhale, exhale. It was definitely louder– a side glance in your direction had you shrinking into your own skin further. Could they hear your breathing? Were they annoyed by it? 

Hold your breath–

You wanted to disappear– to crawl into the comfort of your chest, hiding away from prying eyes that knew too much, yet nothing, at the same time. 

A whimper– one that got clogged in your tightening throat– came out in a barely audible muffled noise that only furthered your distress. 

The warmth of a hand pressing into your shoulder had you flinching, attempting to pull out of the gentle gesture. 

“[Y/n]?” 

Your name was whispered with concern, the voice that uttered it familiar and comforting. “Diego–” just like your legs the words you uttered were shaky. The man needed no further prompt to let his arms wrap around you. Pulling you to his chest. Warm breath ghosted the back of your neck, Deigo’s front fighting perfectly into your back. “It’s okay, [Y/n].” The man whispered quietly, resting his head on your head/shoulder. “It’s all going to be okay.” 

Saying nothing you nodded your head letting yourself be shielded by your lover as he surrounded you in his hold. Gentle breathing ghosting your skin and grabbing your focus. Distracting you from your overactive mind. 

“Calm down,” Deigo breathed out, “I gotcha.” 

Everything else faded out, it was just you and Diego in your own little world. No prying eyes or whispering voices. It was tranquil and soon you found your hands steadying. The rise of your chest evening out, and most importantly the nerve-racking anxiety that was previously consuming your every thought ebbed away, now replaced with a warmth that spread through your chest till your face was flushed for a very different reason.

It hasn't been long since John had moved in with Sherlock but he had to admit despite Sherlock's constant shenanigans the apartment was an overall nice and quiet place to stay- at least that's what John thought before today.

"Fucking asshole! Give it back before I cut your dick off!"

That was what John had woken up to that morning. He had jerked upward in his bed half asleep and half-naked. The shouting had continued and in a sleep-deprived haze, he had stumbled out of his bed quickly making his way to sherlock and the stranger's voice. John was worried that someone had come into their home with ill intent and was ready for the fight of his life.

Instead what he got was an annoyed-looking man standing in front of Sherlock as Sherlock hid an oddly shaped item in his hands dodging every attempt the man made to grab the item from him. "I swear to fucking god Sherlock- " he said lunging at the brunette before successfully tackling him to the ground. A bright smile shone on his face as he turned to run away but he didn't get far as Sherlock grabbed his ankle bringing him crashing to the wooden floors with a painful thump. Sherlock walked over the winded man before once again grabbing the piece of what John now assumed was cloth after getting a better look at it.

"I don't think so [Y/n]. You've been wearing it since early afternoon- of yesterday. Time for a break!" John watched confused as Sherlock tried to walk away with the piece of cloth only for the man on the floor to latch onto his ankle tripping him.

It was at this moment that John decided whatever was happening had gone on for long enough "What in God's name is happening?" he half-shouted catching both of the men's attention.

"John catch!" Sherlock said throwing the cloth to John who barely managed to catch it. "Quickly go hide it while I hold him back!" Sherlock said the man struggled to stand Sherlock's arms now clinging around him in a vice grip as he thrashed angrily. "Bastardddd-!" John heard as he left the room rubbing his forehead in exasperation.

!SFW! MHA Characts & What They Would Get Their S/O For Valentines

Deku 

Deku would give you one of his favorite All Might statues or he would make you a notebook filled with photos and entries recalling all your time together. The notebook will have lots of pictures, entries, along with small stories recalling the events. 

Bakugou

This angry pomeranian will drag you to the kitchen near dinner time and start cooking, bossing you around. The both of you end up making dinner together. At some point you got something stuck to your nose, Bakugou noticed and walked up simply licking it off and going right back to what he was doing as if nothing happened. 

Denki

Denki would honestly forget all about Valentine’s Day until it was the day of and he saw everyone exchanging gifts. The poor man will run around his apartment collecting anything he thought was cool that you would like. Everything will be shoved in an old Xmas gift bag and given to you with an awkward smile. 

Kirishima

Mans will plan a whole day of activities for both of you. From the second you wake up to when the both of you fall back into your shared bed you will be with Kirishima. He planned out a nice walk through a nearby nature reserve which ends with a picnic. After that, the both of you go to a nearby arcade or fair. All the while you are showered with gifts and kiss attacks. Throughout the day Kirishima had planned multiple restaurants for you both to visit along with all your favorite hang-out spots. 

Iida 

Traditional flowers and chocolate along with a handwritten letter from yours truly. Iida would take the day off of work and spend it with you, he values time spent together above all else so he’s content to simply cuddle with you all day and watch some cheesy rom coms. 

Aoyama

He will decorate the entire apartment in the cover of shadows and you’ll wake up to Aoyama standing over you with an over glittery box of chocolates in hand. Will drag you out of bed and is 100% pure energy till the day ends. He takes you on a date, somewhere fancy where the both of you need to dress up. 

Todoroki

Todorki won’t really think about Valentine’s Day much until he hears Deku mentioning it while during a mission. After that Todoroki will look into things to do. Man will literally look up “What to do on Valentine’s Day” and go with it. He ends up making you breakfast in bed and going for a walk in your local park. 

Tokoyami

He prefers to stay indoors and spend time alone with you. The both of you will mostly end up going out in your pajamas stocking up on various snacks and scary movies for the day. Tokoyami will curl up with you in a blanket fort munching while holding you close smiling to himself whenever you jump closer to him. 

Shinsou

He acts like he doesn’t know what day it is going out for the majority of the day. Shinsou returns only to drag you out of the house surprising you by taking you out to your local park/forest only to lead you to where he had set up fairy lights and blankets. A nice picnic packed. The both of you will spend a good chunk of time stargazing and sharing small kisses. 

Mirio

He can’t keep a secret for the life of him. You knew his plans long in advance and weren’t surprised when he was dragging you out of your home to take you rock climbing. Mirio will be hyping you up the entire time, even helping you on ones where it’s allowed to do it with a partner. At the end of the day Mirio will be telling you what an amazing job you did as the both of you made your way home. 

Tamaki 

This sweetheart will be so flustered and at first, will go to Mirio for an idea as of what to do with you on Valentine’s Day. After that plan inevitably fails Tamaki will most likely plan some indoor activities for the both of you. Arts and crafts along with a few board games would be ideal for Tamaki. Just you and him indoors spending time together. 

Aizawa

DIY home spa day. Aizawa will go out the night before and get everything both you, him, and your many cats will need to have a wonderful at-home spa day together. He will have face masks and bubble baths ready for both of you. Even your cats will get pampered with treats and new beds along with cute little eye masks for each cat. 

Yamada 

He will get you both tickets to your favorite band. The both of you will be side by side dancing together to the live performance in front of you all while fanning over your favorite band member/singer, after the concert expect Yamada to be absolutely livid. Ranting and gushing about the concert.

"Oh, Escanor~"

As soon as his name was uttered said man turned to face you, recognizing your voice instantly. A smile as bright as the sun was on his face until he took note of the state you were in.

Ban was holding you up with one arm as you slurred, steps shaky, and face a deep red. The both of you were swaying as you walked, bottles of gin in hand.

The man with glasses sighed rubbing the bridge of his nose. With a look of concern, he watched as you disconnected yourself from Ban making your way to him. He was preparing himself for whatever you would throw his way.

Everything was fine going smoothly until you tripped over your own feet, stumbling and crashing into Escanor before the man could realize what was happening you were bringing both him and you to the ground. The grass tickled the back of Escanor's neck, his head slightly reeling from the sudden fall.

Ban's laughter was ringing out as your hands rested on the ground beside Escanors head caging him beneath you. "Oh- hey there~" you cooed, your face meer inches from his, making the man flush, his eyes blown wide. Warm alcohol-scented breath wafted over his face.

Your overwhelming presence was too much for the timid man to handle.

"Good heavens-" Escanor exclaimed hands flying upward, you were pushed off of him quickly as he stood feeling bad for how he had shoved you nevertheless though he rushed away mumbling all while trying to calm his fast-beating heart.

"See you later, sweetheart!" you called watching his fleeting form with a dopey grin.
