I’ve always seen harley as a vintage new wave girly very 1970’s vibes, but lately I’ve been trying to desing her villain costume and nothing seems to fit, nothing seems right, and then i realized.
My vision for her “villain arc”(silly arc) is for her to change, to leave her old ways that stopped her from doing anything she loved behind. Yeah sure the vintage vibes fit the psychiatris times, but thinking about her wearing stuff like that/having her suit be those same vibes after she leaves that job and lifestyle behind feels wrong.
I love the lego outfit specefically i love the punk/alt vibes the rollerkates the uniqueness. I love her red and black suit just as much as the next person but I tried so hard to keep it (similar) but i just can’t. Her story in my world just doesn’t fit that suit.
It’s a cute suit yes but to me it represents still being controlled by something/someone in her story… And in the one I’m working on her becoming harley quinn actually frees her, yes, from the start. And that suit just never feels… quite like her owl self.
Anyways I think I should start trying new styles and different aesthetics for her. That’s it, lol
