EAT
On the ground floor of a 1905 beaux-arts building where architect Frank Lloyd Wright once kept an office. Stroll along the sawdust-sprinkled aisles beneath old-timey ceiling fans and neon signs, past stalls piled high with mangoes, peppers and jicamas, and glass bins filled with dried chilies and nuts. Grand Central Market, Downtown LA’s daily food stall feasting grounds, is turning 100 this year -- and for a centenarian, the old gal has done well in keeping up with the times. “Evolution” has been a throughline for the market’s dynamic lineup of vendors over the decades, tracing back from its days as an open grocery to its modern “destination dining” reputation that draws James Beard-quality chefs. Of the 30+ stalls in GCM, these are most worthy of your attention during your next visit for lunch, dinner, or some amalgam of the two meals.  This food hall consists of most authentic, delicious prepared food, Sweets & treats, Breakfast & Brunch.
NOW OPEN FROM 8AM - 10PM SEVEN DAYS A WEEK! 317 S. BROADWAY LOS ANGELES, CA 90013 TEL (213) 624-2378 PARKING GARAGE ENTRANCE 308 S HILL STREET, LOS ANGELES, CA 90013

Tumblr media
Located in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles across on the corner of 7th and Grand, Tom George is an upscale Italian restaurant is one of the newcomers on the strip of unique restaurants on 7th.
While it has gained national appeal in Budapest, Hungary, Tom George is gaining traction in the L.A. culinary scene. The restaurant itself occupies a large space that can host up to 185 guests at a time—giving the restaurant leeway for large rushes of guests. Tom George is currently ranked #820 out of over 8,200 restaurants in the Los Angeles area—with an average rating of 4.5 stars on yelp.
The restaurant is also open until 2am which allows late night diners to have a place to eat post-bar hopping or after a long night out. With its late night hours, Tom George has a mass appeal to the busy streets of Downtown LA. Even after cooling down from the Halloween hype, Downtown LA is still buzzing with excitement for the upcoming events this week. But perhaps the most notable happening is ‘Mike Kelley: Kandors 1999-2011’ which is a art collection centered around the experience of electroshock therapy and superheroes.
