what's the worst fkmt drama/movie you've seen?

honestly this is a complex question! none of the dramas or adaptations ive seen i thought were outright bad, at most lacking in what they couldve done.

im making a tier list, when i finish going through everything i'll record a video going over the tier list and my thoughts on each individual work!

for now id say my least favorite is probably the zero drama, as i got bored watching it, but i haven't gone through it again in awhile so we'll see!

I’ve hit 100 posts on this blog!

I’ve been posting on this blog since july of last year and started my weekly scheduled proper Article posts on august 27th of last year, not missing a single week since.

Thank you guys for all the support in that time! it’s a lot of fun and i’m glad to be able to research all this stuff and bring it forward and also branch out to some other series as well in the often linked archive (under the off topic folder)

i’ve found so much insane and wild stuff and im glad i’ve been able to dedicate my time to properly researching and archiving it to help others learn!

support like that has even allowed me to acquire some cool stuff like books and dvds to further help research and document these things.

I’ve also started working on a vtuber model, a youtube, and a tiktok to help make more content that’s accessible to a wider audience. this whole venture is not scheduled like the blog posts/won’t interfere with the schedule of the blog posts but i’m excited to work on that!

I believe you're thinking of FKMT Heroes! a comic released with multiple manga prints that released at that time that included a quiz in which if people answered and put it out with the right hashtag, 5 people would be randomly selected to receive a shirt signed by fkmt

Is it ever explained on how Gai got that scar? also do you think we'll ever get a zero 3? since it left on a huge cliffhanger

IT ACTUALLY WAS .................... fkmt said in an interview that there's literally no canonical reason for it and fkmt only gave him a scar to differentiate gai from akagi and make him look cool. said in the same interview he doesn't think much about the backstories of characters.

if you look within the work itself there's some implication that it's a burn (or at least really looks like one) but he's been through so much already that i like to imagine that it's literally just a birthmark

another fun fact: though it's often depicted as bright red by fans, his scar is only just colored dark

but it's also pinkish in allstars

as for zero part 3.... according to a rough translation for another interview, apparently fkmt didn't plan on even making a part 2 initially??? which is REALLY funny if you remember the end to part 1 but i don't see a part 3 happening

I hope this is not strange to ask but like is it just me or is it something about fkmt's old men that is so alluring? like i ain't gonna lie i think old akagi ichikawa washizu tonegawa and such are pretty handsome

this is like the funniest ask ive gotten but also i unironically love and am obsessed with everyone listed except tonegawa so i cant even blame you . dont get me started on washizu. idont know what he puts in those old men but m snorting them like coke

ichikawashizu enjoyers are winning today im gonna go over headcanons then official media

and you may think but in the anime and manga they don't interact what official media we'll get there and its gonna be good

OK so first of all for those that don't know there's a washizu spinoff that shows washizu's younger years and rise to power, I like 2 imagine he and ichikawa met during this time (the spinoff is canon but ichikawa is not in it at all so this is headcanon). i like to imagine they are "rivals" and "enemies" who hang out into their old age. ichikawa used to be this cool biker dude in his younger days (heres a doodle of young ichikawashizu i have on hand

I imagine as they grow old they settle down more. Ichikawa gets along with the whitesuits who used to pretend to hate him (the whole "rivals and enemies" thing) and are more just like a bitter little married couple that bicker a lot but enjoy each others company

and as for official media :) in the akagi drama they literally drink wine together and talk about being evil and how much they hate akagi and ichikawa fucking invents washizu mahjong by giving him the ideas for glass tiles and taking blood. they have these fucking flirty moments it genuinely feels like some writers fanfiction and i fucking love it

so someone out there on staff agrees with me here

also incorporating more official content into headcanons, it's funny to me how yukio threatened bonobono then ended up dead. imagine he just went after akagi bc akagi went after ichikawa

one of my first loids and i love him bilingual king, he's the only vocaloid i have with multiple banks in the same language so it's a lot of fun messing with XSY

2. Iroha Nekomura v2

voiced by a trans legend and has a unique voice all on her own. absolutely adore her and her english*

3. Cyber Songman v4

PRIZE in my collection since he's not for sale anymore, lovely and unique voice. I noticed he has a tone very similar to Kaito's so im interested in seeing how they go together

4. TONIO

literally the best english vocaloid ever. incredible range and so fun to use . highly recommend for everyone.

5. Prima :)

tonio's companion vocal! a nice opera vocal but lacks the same range so i don't use her as often but i really wanna get a hang of it because she's incredibly unique and is a DELIGHT when used correctly

6. Avanna

I don't use her at all actually but she's so good on a technical level i absolutely adore her and im so glad I have her, very clear voice! She seemed really popular with music producers who weren't primarily vocaloid users and I really get why. Reminds me of prima but with a much stronger lower tone.

7. zola project is 3 in one so im gonna separate them into separate places starting with YUU

they go so underutilized but i adore them so much

10. GACHAPOID v3

the most recent addition to the family! based on the popular character gachapin who has made youtube videos about kaiji and other fkmt properties before. REALLY enjoy his voice and im looking forward to what he can do!

the FIRST bilingual vocaloid EVER released we LOVE her

12. Miki v4!

I forget i own her and im holding her as trade fodder lol. rip miki she's not BAD and i feel she handles low tones pretty strongly but for my own personal collection Id be down to trade her for vocals that are higher on my list

13. hiyama kiyoteru v2

a nice guy :) I think I had a little more trouble working with his english* but I love low voices, love masc voices love him a lot

14. MERLI

another pretty obscure one! i don't use her as much anymore but I liked her english* a lot

IT IS 14 i kept thinking it was 15 after i got gacha?

*not actual english vocaloids/don't have dedicated english voicebanks, i just frequently use them FOR english because I can, i love seeing people push the limits of voicebanks for different languages

  @alice42d​😔😔 here’s hoping we get another collab someday, other mahjong apps exist and some have done mulitple fkmt collabs (sega net mj just had a kaiji collab and has had MULTIPLE fkmt collabs with akagi and the tonegawa spinoff before)

there was also recently a very new mahjong app launched called riichi city which has been compared to mahjong soul and majhime, which have BOTH had akagi collabs... so here’s hoping!
