It's a little repetitive, seeing that my meals are pretty similar from day to day, to post all of my meals on here. But I went for something new for dinner today; cauliflower rice with butter, salt, cheese, bacon and left over chicken. It was actually pretty good and a quick throw-together kind of meal. That's my MO since, as you may have come to realize if you have seen my posts, I'm a busy mom and like things to be as simple as possible. Especially because I log all my food.
Anyway, I've been pretty into Emi Wong lately for my workouts. It's challenging, but in a good way. When I need a little bit more upbeat chit chatter, I love Blogilates! So, I kind of leave it to my mood with ones I do for the day.
These past couple of days have been a drain on my soul, though. I forced myself to workout hard yesterday despite it and got a bit sick to my stomach by the time it was done, so I'm not pushing myself too much. I think I'm getting to the transition stage where my body realizes that it's no longer getting its usual source of glucose and stutters trying to grab from the fat stores instead. To keep it going, I've been on top of my electrolytes as much as my calorie amount allows, but my mind still seems kind of tired out easily.
I'm not sleeping well on top of it. My five year old has gone off his sleeping schedule.. so he is managing to stay up until daylight hours. Ugh... so, some of this could be from that, too. Not ideal...
But, on a good note, my body looks amazing! Not many pounds down, but I just love how its starting to get firm and the shape it's starting to become. The last time I did Keto, I didn't do any exercise, so, sure, I lost weight quickly, but I still felt flabby. I didn't realize it then, but having the beginning of a fitter frame has made that really obvious.
I'm so grateful for all I've learned/suffered/failed through for the healthy lifestyle I'm creating. All of my mistakes and different diets I've tried have made me realize what's right and wrong in the weight-loss world. And I'm so proud of myself and how my willpower has went from shit for these challenges to some things just becoming a habit. It's such a huge thing!

An okay day, despite that sugar mix up.
I fit in a 30 minute workout doing two Total Body pilates workouts with Cassey Ho and, let me tell you, you always forget that pilates can have you heaving on your ass by the time you get through the fifteen minutes. It's a slow, torturous, delicious burn. I missed it. I'm planning on putting together a routine tonight that will incorporate weights and a pilates workout in a single day, multiple days a week. I just really want that stretch/body resistance while also challenging my muscles with extra weight.
My workout was really late in the day and my meals were hectic. I didn't get any time to plan my day today..
Buuuut.. ignoring that whole syrup fiasco, my macros all finally fit perfectly. Plus, it's a light, simple meal close to bedtime. I hate feeling bloated when I go to bed.
Anyway, two turkey and salami wraps, a mini cucumber to dip into my spicy guac, Cabot sharp cheese and two hard boiled eggs. Add my fat coffee and I'm in Keto Heaven!

Wow.. I'm a fucking moron.. smh!
Today I just learned... like... not even an hour ago.. that the sugar free syrup I've been using is actually full of sugar and carbs. 🤯
And I'm talking, I used this shit in everything. My smoothies, my coffees, my yogurts... ugh! No wonder my ketosis progress has been so slow! One tablespoon of this stuff was my entire carb count for the day! I am such a damn idiot! Lol. I dont know why I didn't double check the label. I had just remembered buying this syrup on my last Keto journey and .. I dont know. I guess I just assumed that all these syrups were made sugar free? And I am just sitting there inhaling my coffee every morning like.. "Who the fuck needs sugar when my coffee still tastes this good?!" Dur dur durrrr!
I'm laughing at myself, now.. but let me tell you, I was nearly in tears when I finally saw the label. My fiance, of course, poked at my blonde moment in good fun and set me to chuckling, but he ultimately made me feel better by finding the actual sugar free one on Amazon. So, I'm lucky enough to have four of them being shipped to my house.. but it's going to be a week and half before I get them. There goes my sweet coffee... 😭
But I'm glad I caught it, now. I was just thinking that this many days without being in ketosis while eating the perfect low carb ratio and decent foods, all within my calorie budget, should have got me there by now. So, no more wasted time. Back to the drawing board...

I've lost 4lbs so far!
It's crazy what a difference only 4lbs can make! Especially when I KNOW I've been putting on some muscle in the past few weeks. I could probably even be getting faster progress if I wasn't having a vodka drink once a week or if I worked out every single day rather than most of the week. But, honestly? I'm cool with that. This is my life, you know? I have taken a lot of great steps in the right direction and, what I am doing, is showing results. Why overdo it going at a speed that might cause me to quit when I can just add in a few stress relieving days and continue forward? It may be slower, but it doesn't overwhelm me or stress me out and slower progress is still progress.
Either way, Keto operates quickly, even without an exercise routine. Once I am in Ketosis, I have no doubt my progress will speed up more while continuing what I'm already doing.
My point, though, is yay me! I feel great! My muscles feel addicted (finally) to the challenges of my exercises and the soreness goes away a lot sooner than before. I am actually to the point where I'm not procrastinating before a workout, dreading the "punishment" of it. I am excited to see how much stronger I am that day, see how many more reps I can take on. It's amazing! I may have started this shit for the weightloss.. but 3 weeks later, I'm realizing that there is a lot more to it!

I promised I would get better at taking pictures of my food and intake, so here we go...
And, I gotta tell you... I LOVE Keto. Like.. I could seriously do this for the rest of my life. Everything about this diet is just.. drenched in flavor rather than cardboard air. I am SO happy to be back on it.
Day 2 officially has began and I am feeling just a bit groggy, but nothing I don't normally feel as a mother of four. Lol. My Bulletproof coffee helps a lot;
It definitely gives me that boost of energy and its absolutely delicious and just.. FULL! I don't know how I lived without fat coffee..!
I am at 673 Calories, 6g of Net Carbs, 25g Protein, 60g of Fat, 746mg of Potassium and 950mg of Sodium (Not including the pink salt all over my lunch). Feeling good about this day!

Officially switched to Keto as of today!
Not gonna lie.. I forgot how hard it was to stuff down all those dense proteins and fats.. I only made it to 1,100 calories today and that was by forcing down a last meal. I also did my best to do preventative broth drinking, water chugging and potassium/magnesium dense food chomping before the inevitable eruption of change descends upon my body.
Honestly, 21 Day Fix prepared me with less carbs, zero sugars and eating smaller portions of decent, healthy noms, so I am tentatively confident that my symptoms won't come on as strongly as my past Keto experience. Back then, I was highly addicted to carbs/sugars and found myself going through the withdrawl symptoms as well as the flush of electrolytes. Armed with knowledge, experience and a lot more research, let's hope my body goes through the changes a bit easier.
One thing I am a little bummed about is my fitness progress. I'd like to keep going like I am, but I'm worried it would put my body through more stress than necessary as it transitions. Not to mention, I'd need more water and electrolytes to combat the extra amount of sweat. I'm going to try and do my workouts with my light weights only and see how my body deals over the next couple of days..
Anyway.. that's about all for now. I'm going to be prettifying my blog soon to get myself set up for more food posts, before/after photos, etc, all under the idea that I'm now going through a Keto journey. If you decided to follow me based on 21 Day Fix, I'll understand if some of you unfollow. However, I may still continue the workouts for a bit as long as my body deals well with it. So, do whatcha gotta do.

I have been having some weird issues with Tumblr not posting and making me rewrite my posts. Ugh... sorry that it seems I haven't been active this week due to this.
Updates;
I am 164lbs, so, a two pound loss in nearly two weeks. That's awesome! Especially when considering how much muscle I have obviously built up. And that much is obvious already. I'm seeing muscle definition in my legs and arms the most and a new firm look to my torso. I also get through my workouts a little bit better (I am not crawling out of the playroom oozing out of all my pores like I'm dying) and feel like my body is handling the soreness a little easier than the first day. Ironically enough, at this point, I have only lost inches on my butt. Haha! But that is not discouraging since muscle is building and fat is burning. The first few weeks are just confusing, inconsistent info, really. So, no biggie.
I actually take more walks, now, too, for cardio (after four kids.. jumping is not an option, mkay.. If you don't get this reference, good...lol) and have even managed a bit of a run for the first time yesterday! It was right after my leg workout.. so it was an awkward Gumby run, but I'll take it!
Although I've gotten into a rhythm with how much and when to do my meals based on my workouts, and I'm enjoying the small bits of carbs and fruits, I find myself really missing Keto. Enough to know that I'll be switching to it eventually, as soon as I have the money to afford some supplements. I lost 30 pounds with Keto last time I did it, but, sadly, lost the motivation over the carb heavy holidays and gained all of it back. 😣 But it was such a great feeling and I miss fats a hell of a lot more than I miss carbs. If you're following me because of the 21 Day Fix, I'll send out a post when I switch so you can unfollow me if you need to.
And that's about it. Small steps toward my goal, but each one was such a huge accomplishment to me.
