Imagine Leon, an big older omega who has a reputation of being difficult to handle by another alphas.

Who doesn’t bend over anyone’s will (especially alpha who think they are better than anyone else), who isn’t delicate, always has a strong answer to give everyone that think they a right to say about how he should live his own life.

Who apparently isn’t concerned about his reputation as an “undesirable omega who isn’t fit for being a mate”, but really is very insecure about his appearance and personality and he doesn’t fit in the box of expectations for omegas in society.

Just imagine, this Leon being chased by the world’s most cheeky, obnoxious and annoying alpha, who unfortunately also a the most wonderful scent that Leon’s had smelled. Matthew Tkachuk an younger alpha from a rival team who isn’t scared by Leon’s pissy posturing but actually is crazy about his hockey skills, his dry quick chirps in the ice, his sweet scent and the way that he looks at Matthew like he was no better than the dirt on the floor.

Matthew who at first just wants to blow off some steam and clear the sexual tension between them, but as he gets to know Leon better, the way he is so sweet when there’s no one looking, how well he respond to his touch after Matthew breaks the walls he built around himself to be able to follow his dream (in a market that isn’t especially well known for being kind to omegas), how much he passionate about the things he loves, all these things just make Matthew feel to need to look after Leon.

Make sure the omega is safe, loved and well cared for, be able to be the one who takes care of him after a bad day and make him purr and have make sure that he always smells like happiness, comfort or satisfaction.

But Leon is a stubborn mess who isn’t ready yet to accept that he deserves all of this and can’t believe that Matthew isn’t just trying to “tame” the infamous pissy omega.

I could write a super angsty unrequited love fic with pining Daryl where Glenn still ends up with Maggie but I won't because that's literally just how I read canon.
