Recently did this painting of some dear friend’s Basset Hounds who sadly passed away last year at ripe old ages.  Always love sketching pets, especially their butts.  As my 3 year old always says “bootys are funny” -eliza kinkz

These are all close up images of pieces I loved at the Mary Blair exhibit at the Walt Disney Museum.  We were living in the Bay area and I bought at membership just to see the exhibit countless times.  

You can see full scale images of the pieces in many books about the Art of Mary Blair.  So I just took close-up pics of parts of the pieces that I found particularly inspiring.  Sorry for my weak camera skills, but you can get the gist of it.  If you ever have a chance to visit an exhibit of her work I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU GO GO GO.  You’ll be leaking with inspiration when you leave!

This post contains some of her Disney Concept Art, which I’ll continue in another few posts.  I’ll do a separate post with her Storybook and Personal Art as well.

The first in these series was concept done for the Three Caballeros and the last 2 images was for Song of the South.

Made this illustration after reading Austin Kleon's Newspaper Blackout poem “Installing a Car Seat on the Millennium Falcon.”

Couldn't get the image out of my head after many car seat experiences of my own......  

Check out Austin Kleon's books if you haven't.  Both books have helped me a lot in figuring out the kind of Artist I'm working towards being.

One of my Bestest BFFs Hannah did these amazing dolls from the movie "What about Bob?" for the Bill Murray Art Show going on in San Francisco.  I submitted a piece as well which I'll be posting about later. 

If you go to the show, be sure to squeal in front of these two and faint from cuteness overload!!
