So, I know that I'm late to the game with this one, but I just watched the one piece fan letter, and HoLy fUcK that shit made me cry. I think it perfectly encapsulates the feeling that one piece gives people, the sense of freedom and joy. I think it was super smart of them to set it right after the time skip because it also conveys the relief the crew felt from seeing each other for the first time in two years and being able to go on adventures together.

I really love how Nami and Nojiko try and help Zoro, and zoro's just fighting it, like he doesn't want it, but he obviously needs someone to make sure that he's consuming more than hangover food and alcohol, it's like he's a wet cat who's given up and is just being dragged around (I think he secretly likes that they care though)

I think it's so funny how I'll hear certain things in their fics that probably mean nothing, but I can only think of them as callbacks to their other fics
