How to fast for longer periods of times:
1) Make a goal hour: my first fast ever was a week. it was awful. i did it with a friend after we saw a girl on edtwt do a whole month on just water. so we decided, yo we can do that too for a week atleast. and we did. but we felt sick, always like we were about to throw up. the hunger pains were awful. but we managed to do it somehow. the only thing that kept us going was coffee.
2)liquid fast: fasting purity is overrated. if coffee, teas, broths, help you fast longer, than do it. ketosis breaks when you consume a certain amount of carbs. either try not to break ketosis by drinking things that are carb free, or fuck ketosis and drink whatever you want. weightloss will come your way either ways.
3) Train yourself: start with a day, then 2, then 3 and so on and so on:
4) keep yourself busy: watch a show, write, go out, anything. you will get bored, and when u get bored, you will want to eat. do anything to keep yourself busy.
5) Try to push yourself to 3 days, after 3 days fasting will be easier. you wont feel any hunger anymore, you will have a huge ego boost, you will feel like a god.
6) Fast with someone else: companionship helps. if you feel like breaking your fast, tell your friend and buddy or whatever and try to overcome that feeling. if the feeling doesnt go away, break together. and then restart the fast together again at midnight.
7) Start all of your fasts at midnight: for the first few hours its easier to just sleep though them and wake up alr fasting.
8) If you feel hungry, or in a lot of pain, eat a piece of hard candy, drink smth warm and heavy that will fill you up.
9) If you have a headache, lick salt. it really helps
10) If you feel like absolutly like you cant go anymore: break. there is no shame in breaking your fast after 8 hours, 16 hours, a day, or whatever. no one care. break on smth small, and then when you feel up to it again, restart.
11) and lastly: when breaking, if you wanna fast again, dont push it to another day, the day you break on, on midnight, restart again. esp since when you break, chances are you will feel sick. suddenly breaking isnt desirable but painful.
