One of the greatest lies of society is that you somehow have sins to pay off just from existing. That sin is accrued in the seconds you have not spent giving every ounce of what you have left to the system. But sin is a foolish concept, projected onto others by people who truly have things to feel guilty about and make up for. Do not let them normalize needless misery. You are no better for taking on suffering.
eat delicious things in every sense. savor novels that unravel slowly, like decadent meals for the mind. let sunlight kiss ur skin, bask in its warmth like an endless summer. hold close the people who make you feel alive, kiss them tenderly, love them fiercely. laugh at bad jokes, the kind that make you roll ur eyes but secretly smile. plant basil on your windowsill, water it with care, breathe in its fragrance as you stir it into your meals. be unafraid to indulge in beauty, to notice it everywhere and to consume it greedily. there is no virtue in starving yourself of joy, no wisdom in rationing delight.

what is it?
What is it that made you stop? What is that made you stop enjoying the most minute of living. Who was it that had convinced you that to enjoy life, moments of pleasure must be out of the ordinary and be of spectacular displays?
I see it. People lose patience, people avoid the uncomfortable, people avoid being observed engaging with anything “unironically”. People have spoken about losing their love for reading, dying for the Romance of living, frustrated with being unable to emulate the pure enjoyment they witness in others (as fraudulent as it may be). It gets more dangerous as the days and nights crawl by.
So, when was the last time you’ve been allowed to sulk in your feelings? When was the last time you’ve permitted yourself to enjoy an arbitrarily “childish” thing? When was the last time you’ve been alive without the panic of random people outside supposedly whispering about even just the way your eyes move to look out your window.
Let me tell you that, one day, you will not see those people. Whether you vanish first, or they do. That as unpleasant as it feels, there is nothing you can do. Why waste time on miserable people? Modern society has induced a very strange paranoia within its members. Do be mindful.

childhood observations.
[caution: highly descriptive and highly extensive venting about childhood trauma]
I see you. How you scorch my skin and spit upon my raw flesh. How you pry my nails from my fingers and pull the lashes from my eyes. And once again, you beg to be cradled and held by your son as if you were dying ever so early.
I see you. How you flail insults to bury deep into the core of my bones and cite idiocies with the righteousness of a fraudulent deity. How you bruise my form with your relics of your pathetic daydreams and drag me against the rocks in the yard. And once again, you beg to be kissed on the cheek and patted by your son as if you were spending your days with a close childhood friend.
I see you. How you screech to bleed my ears and weep like a suffering infant to grind my feelings into submission. How you revise my truths with care and tell me a broken body is just what I deserve for some imaginary sins. And once again, you beg to be affirmed and walked along by your son as if you’re a helpless young girl.
How can I not see you? How you despair for your own mother’s love and attempt to touch the sky in a simple jump for acceptance. How you scavenge for bullshit excuses to visit your own mother’s home and plead that one day she will decide she wants to hold you after 20 years. And once again, you beg to be kept ignorant and left alone by your son as if he feels no agony of being unsupported.
How can I not see you? How you pledge every ounce of loyalty to your own mother and believe in your entitlement to the same from your offspring. How you grapple for the youth your own mother’s thieving hands could not leave be and pray hard to the endless void that you will be permitted to relive it now. And once again, you beg to be acknowledged and honored by your son as if your attempt to numb the bleeding heart of yours is a divine blessing to him.
How can I not see you? How you speak endlessly at high volumes to for once be within your own mother’s ever drifting gaze and express your cravings to be sought out just the same. How you pick at miles of modern industrial garbage in hopes that a half-assed offering will force the words “I love you” to fall from your own mother’s lips and excuse her lack of openness to be just the exhaustion of the day or week or month or year or decade. And once again, you beg to be mothered and loved on by your son as if it is his personal responsibility and purpose to make up for where your own mother had failed you.
I see you. How can I not see you?

I am reminded of a phrase I have heard repeatedly by those enduring and have finished recovery from childhood trauma. The response to “But it made you stronger.” Said phrase is “I didn’t need to be stronger, I needed to be protected.” Glorification of resilience takes the responsibility off of those who cause the trauma and torment, as well as eases the guilt of those who refused to hold abusers accountable. Those who had the luxury of safety and freedom, and yet, chose to remain silent and take no action. Might I add, you do not have to forgive enablers and you may be violently upset with them, as much as they cry and point to their own pain from the consequences. Most people do not survive regardless. Most people die, become hollowed out, or take the path of violent destruction.

something random I was thinking about one night
Growing up, I would stack up channels I’ve subscribed to. However, I have now realized it should be more meaningful. Tossing out background noise trash, keeping channels that cause me to reconsider my thoughts, and actually subscribing to those channels of humor I enjoy. “He just posts memes!” Yes, which is good, because you have occasional memes to laugh at in a spare 10 minutes perhaps twice a week or hopefully every day. It doesn’t have to be “productive” or “valuable” to the system. Just be sure it isn’t destructive, mind-numbing, needlessly distressing. Curate your life for happiness, or the system will curate it for you.

The greatest realization I have ever had is all thanks to this post.
Copyright infringement is a genuine “first-world problem”, that old pejorative accusation used when something so minor goes wrong and people lose it.
That, and bitching about minor cuts in ever-flowing Niles of profit.
prison is fucked up regardless but the fact that you can do a prison sentence for copyright infringement is especially insane to me. you deserve to lose your autonomy because we might have potentially made money from that thing. i imagined you did a crime against me so now one day you'll have to hear your son ask his mother who you are.

To add to that, it looks to be also some trauma done by the wealthy. Now everyone is clamoring to conform or begging for some semblance of not being labeled as “the mindless masses”. Ever wonder why a trend keeps happening of counter-culture, then counter-counter-culture, and so on and so forth? The wealthy are both offering a fraudulent key to exclusive and better life and at the same time threatening you for your existence as a sign that there can be better and something else. Cults are against diverse expression. Dress codes are an easy way of telling what’s wrong with a supposed neat little club.
People don't actually grow out of their emo phases. People are forced out of their emo phases by employers who get a raging boner over controlling how their employees dress, cut their hair, whether they mod their bodies and so on

Remember the Spotlight Effect. Everyone believes everyone is watching, but they are always just hyperfocused on themselves.

why should you solo date?
self-discovery: spending time alone allows you to get to know yourself better. you can explore your interests, preferences, and thoughts without external influences.
boosted confidence: doing things on your own can build your confidence and independence. it shows that you can enjoy your own company and handle situations without relying on others.
for example, imagine you are planning and executing a solo travel adventure. it will require you to make various decisions, from choosing destinations to managing your itinerary. this practice can enhance your confidence in making choices independently.
relaxation and mindfulness: solo dates give you the chance to relax and be present in the moment. you can enjoy activities at your own pace without worrying about anyone else’s schedule or preferences.
personal growth: taking yourself out on a date can be a form of self-love and personal growth. it encourages you to prioritize your own happiness and well-being.
flexibility: when you’re alone, you have the freedom to do exactly what you want, when you want. you can change plans on a whim without needing to consider anyone else’s desires.
creativity and inspiration: solo time can spark creativity and inspiration. without distractions, you might find new ideas or solutions to problems that have been on your mind.
stress relief: taking a break from social interactions and responsibilities can reduce stress. it’s a chance to recharge and focus on your own needs.
enhanced appreciation: spending time alone can help you appreciate your relationships more. it gives you a chance to miss your loved ones and value the time you spend with them.
you can participate in most everything on a solo-date. whether it’s going to a café, visiting a museum, or simply taking a walk in the park, it can be a fulfilling experience. some of my favourite solo date activities include going to the cinema, visiting the farmers market, and reading at the park.
definitely always use your head when deciding where to solo date. avoid remote/risking hiking trails, bars and nightclubs, and large social events (festivals).
happy solo dating!

I honestly can’t blame them. I had to reread the statement carefully 40 TIMES to actually recognize it was satire. Fucking autocorrect in my fucking skull.
you lost yourself to the woke agenda. Stop being a trans man and go back to a cis man
I don't know what to add in response to this ask it's perfect on it's own. I don't want to soil it

Such pleasure in life. That which is stalking thrift shops to take home lovely attire and media no longer serving their previous collectors. Annotations are marks of love and appreciation, and I am deeply fond of books that have been loved on before. Shame on me for not taking more photos. Then again, perhaps I am feeling selfish about my luck. To Kill A Mockingbird, Pride and Prejudice, and Emma are the books I had found. The rest are books I was given over the years that I plan to leave on the shelf as I pack away my childhood books.

focus on the likes and not the wants
Tumblr media Tumblr media
you may not want to clean your room, but you like the peace and call it brings you after
you may not want to study, but you like the confidence and satisfaction you get from being prepared
you may not not want to apologise, but you like the relief and connection that reconciliation brings
you may not want to cook, but you like the satisfaction of eating a healthy come cooked meal prepared with love
you may not want to exercise, but you like how you feel afterwards and how it makes you confident
you may not want to journal or write, but you like the reflection and calm it brings you
you may not want to step out of your comfort zone, but you like the new experiences and growth you gain from it

Or else you’ll let the world curate it for you. That’s not living. The best time to start is yesterday. The second best time is today.
Curate everything.
Curate your hygiene routine, curate your clothing items, curate your home, curate your habits, curate your nutrition, curate your environment, curate your circles, curate you socials, curate the content you consume, curate your social skills, curate your financial situation, curate your emotions, curate the version of you that shows up in public, curate your hobbies, curate your knowledge.
