Thorin X Reader- Love From A Distance
The summer heat was enough to make a person melt. It had been hot the past two Ered Luin, which was a sign that summer was in its hottest part. (y/n) hated when it got this hot, she would have rather stayed near the river during this time then leaving it all behind.
But instead she was wandering town in hopes to find something to scrounge up to cook tonight. Fresh produce was her best option, she just wasn't too sure of what else she was having.
"Shopping all alone again," A voice broke her from her silence as she looked at the baker she had come to enjoy the company of.
"Yes Herald, as you can see." She smirked at the man as he snorted at her smart comment. "I rather like it, I don't have to worry about others' opinions. I get a bit of free range, unlike when my brother is telling me as to what I should be doing." She added as she stopped hearing the sudden sound of clanking coming from the stall next to Heralds.
"That dwaror is going to send all my customers away because of his clanking," He grumbled as (y/n) stared at the man who was making some sort of weapon today.
"In such heat, that is worrisome, more than shooing away some customers." (y/n) pondered as she allowed her hair to rest on one side of her shoulder. "Trust me Herald your loads are to die for, I imagine your customers aren't going to disappear because of some silly lad working too hard in the heat." she corrected as she watched him grumble.
"Why can't he make some pretty ring or something, no he has to make his tenth sword, and we are hardly in the middle of the day." Herald groaned as he handed the loaf of bread he had made the wondrous girl.
"My dear Herald, buy a few walls," she hummed as she stared at him. "He is simply making a living such as you." she eyed him up as she grabbed a few gold pieces out.
"An annoying one," He huffed as he accepted the gold.
"But a job nevertheless," she watched as the dwarrow whipped the sweat from his brows and continued to pound out the sheet of metal that would become his next money maker. "Be more content with life Herald, put a smile on that handsome face." She left the heavyset blonde at his stand and slowly marched past the smith's shop taking in the view of many of the goods he had been crafting up while the heat of the day and the flames seemed to keep him sweating.
He was a talented dwarrow, all his goods were very clean and his jewelry was as fine and as good as it got. He had a good niche. She couldn't help but smile, she wanted something just as nice as that, if only she had something that she could trade for such a thing.
She didn't stick around to see much more of his wares knowing it would be too much for her, but the Dwarrow had kept his eyes on her since she first came over to the stall, he had heard the two talking and he couldn't help but want to see the face behind the kind words. He stopped what he was doing standing straight and tall, watching as she left the market district with some goods she had for soup. She was an interesting lassie, one that seemed to catch a select few's eyes. She had caught his eyes pretty quickly as well. He tried to shake the thought of her off and go back to his work, it was more important than anything else at the moment. But in the back of his head he couldn't help but hope she would be back to his little shop.
                        »»————- ♔ ————-««
"Back for more bread?" Thorin's head peaked up from his work as he glanced at the baker and his customer.
"Of course, Herald, Timolin want's soup, so, soup it is, with some bread to go along with it of course." she smiled. It was mesmerizing, she was mesmerizing. No jewelry would ever compare to her beauty, no stone could ever compare either. She in herself was a beauty. Thorin had fallen for her charms since the day he had first seen her which was over a little ago. She was so caring and told that damned baker off for even daring to complain about his work. He too was making a living.
He glanced down at the necklace he was making and frowned. It too was not good enough to be adorned around her neck falling right into the breast where it would rest. He had worked  through the night for that drawing, that idea, and still it was not worthy of her. He huffed as he knew he would have to go back to the drawing board for that one. He had become so fathomed with her since he first laid eyes on her, he only wanted something that would go well for her, that would great apon her. He only wanted to feast his eyes upon her, his true desires.
"Well then, Here is a loaf, of only the best for you my dear." Herald hummed as he handed her the loaf and waited for the gold. It made Thorin's fists curl with anger, his eyebrows furrow, a frown appear on his lips as his eyes glared at the baker. He so dearly wished to call her amrâlimê, Mudùmel, and ibinê. All words of affirmation that he so dearly desired to reach out and call her.
"Oh Herald, how kind of you, and here is some gold and coins to keep you and your family going strong." she hummed greatly, handing over the gold. "He works, so hard in the heat, poor fella, I hope many folks are buying his jewels and gems." He had lowered back to his work to make sure it seemed as if he was working unlike before where he was listening in and looking up occasionally and away from his work bench.
"Why don't you buy it?" Herald hummed as he stared at the dwarf who was sanding down the prongs of the necklace he was making. "If you ask me, overpriced is what that mountain dwarf is, far too overpriced for very little skill."
"Herald my friend, I think you're very wrong, look at it up close next time and you will see exactly what I see." she hummed as she fawned over the dwarf. "He has magnificent talent and his works are very beautiful. If only I could purchase just one piece I would. He has a mighty fine skill Herald, maybe you should treat your wife to some beautiful earrings. Look at it closer tonight and you will just see his talent!"
"I see, maybe I will and I will be the judge of that." He hummed as he glanced atht eh stand. "But it seems your fondness holds something else closer to your heart." Herald wasn't wrong but (y/n) was never going to confess to that. Her lips were sealed, and she wasn't ever going to divulge that information.
Thorin perked up when he heard the baker's words. He was intrigued to say the very least, he wanted to know exactly as to what he was going on about. Only time would tell it would seem as she walked on by with a knowing smirk on her face to tempt the baker to think something different, like she had this air of entitlement that came with her.
Thorin knew she was one to keep people on their toes, which wasn't a bad thing at all, it excited him, ignited a fire within his heart and made him desire a bit of adventure. He wanted her to be his next adventure. He desired her in the worst way, and it was growing as the weeks passed and he spotted her at other stalls more often than his own.
And as the weeks went on, he did see her more often, and had thrown away many blueprints to necklaces and jewelry he thought weren't pretty enough for her. All those sleepless nights were worth it though if he could craft up something that didn't take away from her beauty but rather show her beauty off even more. He watched her quickly rush past his stall to the baker. Today it seemed she was on a mission, or something was at least going on in her world.
"I need one loaf Herald," she said urgently, her words weren't as friendly as they typically are, instead she panicked and rushed and she herself was already digging out the gold for which she was going to pay him.
"There my dear, is everything alright at home?" the baker asked, seeming to have an idea of what was occurring in the woman's life.
"Timolin, his usual antics," she hummed as she smiled gently, but not genuine. And handed the baker the coin. "I'm sure I will be back tomorrow."
Thorin peaked up and watched her pace pick up as she heard her name being called in the town.
"(y/n)!" She squeaked quietly and started to run slightly to keep herself from getting in any more trouble.
For once Thorin felt he needed to talk to the baker as he made his way to the front of his stall to ask the man he really wasn't fond of as to what was going on.
"What is her rush about?" he asked the baker. "She always stays and chats with you for a while."
The man just sneered as he shook his head. "Her brother is in one of his moods, per usual, now no more mingling in business that does not partake to you Smith."
Thorin glared at the baker as he made his way back to working on a ring he had been plagued with the whole night. He hoped whatever was occurring in the young woman's life that she was okay.
If he could, he would sweep her away from this dreadful town and take her with him, so she could become queen under the mountain and he would do this without a doubt, or a second thought. He would give her anything she wanted in this world. Anything she would have ever asked, for her he would do. He would jump off a cliff if she asked him to, though he was sure she would never ask for such a thing.
And when he returned back home to Dis and her sons that night with Frerin off wondering about he sat at the dinner with clouded eyes, mind wandering in his world he was making up in his head.
"Thorin, how was the coin today?" Dis asked as she sat some plated down in front of Fili and Kili as her two sons were quite old enough to take care of themselves but Dis still had that motherly action toward them.
He never answered his sister. Instead he thought about (y/n)'s brown hair that seemed to flow in the wind, or the way her delicate hands seemed to graze upon the goods of other stalls. Or the fact that she was much shorter then most of the other humans she stood among. The way her eyes held so much care for others and how her smile seemed to brighten his day and almost make him want to smile each time he saw it.
"Thorin! Your daydreaming is a bazaar sight." Dis hummed as she sat herself down at the table and stared at the dwarrow bewildered. "My goodness, must be a lassie with the way you are smiling, wipe that goofy look off your face." she huffed as she sat her spoon on the bowl as she stared at her brother in disbelief.
"Huh,"
"Wow, Uncle was daydreaming about a lassie!" Fili laughed at him and Kili made jokes about the man before them.
"Leave your uncle be," Dis hummed as she glanced back at her brother. "Do tell, is she beautiful?" she asked as she picked up her spoon once more.
"I have simply just been busy at work," He corrected as he started to eat. "Nothing much to tell, the coin flows but not like it used to under the mountain.
"It will never be as good until we get back there, brother." she hummed as she smiled sadly. "With family though we will make it out here in this big world."
"I imagine you are correct on that." Thorin hummed as he enjoyed his meal in silence as he was not going to speak of anything that he had been just thinking in fear of his two nephews mocking him as they typically do with anybody they can. Nor did he want to tell his sister even though she had a good idea as to what was taking place while he was making money.
She could only smile and wait for him to tell, she was patient and could very well wait for him to make the mistake and tell them all.
                      »»————- ♔ ————-««
"Timolin, please," Thorin heard that sweet voice again as he looked up slyly from his work to see the woman with a scowl on her face. She seemed very displeased with this man who seemed to be bothering her. He sat his hammer down and took a moment to talk to a customer who was indeed buying one of his weapons he had been selling out of way too quickly. But his eyes never left the two figures as he tried to understand the situation she was currently in. "You're a man of very little gratitude." She hissed as she tried to get her wrist out of his grasp.
"And you're a woman who finds a lot of trouble," He hissed back. "Honestly what were mother and father thinking when they never let you get married to that rich man."
"They wanted what was best for their daughter, unlike you." She tried to rip her arm from his grasp. "I wish mother and father never left me with a scoundrel such as yourself." She spat.
Thorin could tell it was not a good situation and it was making him angry. Such a lass shouldn't have to face the troubles she was facing this very morning.
His eyes and ears honed in on their conversation. He was curious as to what the male was going to do in regards to the lass being vocal in the market.
"Honestly shut up!" He jerked her closer to him as he got ready to spat on her face. "Those books do you no good, other than make you more vocal." He grabbed her cheek forcefully as he forced her to look straight into his eyes. She was panicking it seemed, not wanting that close to this man.
Thorin, he needed to speak up before this went any further. "Let the lassie go," he huffed as he came out from behind his stall, both of their eyes looking directly into his blue orbs. One was relieved and the other was angry. Thorin knew he probably should have minded his own business, but he couldn't just let this man walk all over his sister. If it was Dis in this situation he would have been just as angry as he was now helping this woman.
"You do not partake in this dwarf, go back to the mine you crawled out of." The man spat at Thorin as the king under the hill simply sneered.
"Timolin," she tried even harder to break free from the man.
"Let her go," Thorin tried to reason with Timolin. "She doesn't seem comfortable in your presence and It would be wise to leave her be."
"Filth like you shouldn't nose into other people's business, what my sister does is my business, I hold power over her." Timolin's crooked smile made an impact on the young woman as she darted eye contact from her brother all together, fear overtook. As if she was going to get punishment later once they reached the walls they called home. "Unless you want to buy her and get her off my hands as well."
"How much?" Thorin hummed, if it meant she had freedom away from such a man then he would pay the price. Dis and Ferin could yell at him later, right now he needed to help the lass he had grown quite fond of from a distance.
"You want this filthy halfling," Timolin laughed as he mocked his sister. "Why would you, Mr.—"
"Thorin oakenshiled." Thorin corrected.
"Why would you Mr. Oakenshield want something as vile as her." Timolin finished off.
"Unlike you, mother and father picked you up in the streets, you aren't even their child." (y/n) spat as she made the man before her even angrier.
"You shut your mouth, wench!" He slapped her as (y/n) gasped. He felt tears well up in her eyes as she stared at the man who had claimed to be her brother.
"Look, I will take her off your hands." Thorin pulled out a gold ring adorned with what seemed to be a diamond as well. (y/n) stared among the two men as her brother caught sight of the shiny gold metal that had a ring adorned on it. "This ring is worth a lot, take it to a jeweler and he can give you the right price for it." Thorin hummed as he reached his hand out to the true filth that stood before them. "Come lassie," he held his arms out for her as the man reached for the ring, putting it in his pocket and pushing the woman Into the dwarfs arms. She stumbled and fell into Thorin's arms where she hid her face in his chest feeling safe.
"Don't come back," Thorin's voice got deep as he wrapped his arms around the woman as she fit perfectly in his arms. "Filth of a man, pestering a woman such as yourself." He sighed as he brushed her hair away from her face, seeing the slight point to her ears. If she was half elf she was an odd one, most of them were tall.
"That ring was truly expensive," she pulled away from Thorin looking into his eyes.
"That ring did not mean as much to me as your wellness." Thorin said simply as he quickly locked up cases and tossed them into a bag. He returned to her where she held onto his arms.  "It was simply just a ring, worth way less by any means compared to you."
She was willing to swoon at that, at a man she had been ogling at for the past three weeks. She had no shame in that, he did just save her from a life of misery of marrying someone she had no business to be with.
"I'm just a halfling, a mutt if you want to be honest. I do not belong to the dwarves, nor the elves." she hummed as her hands came to rest on his chest. "You have made a grim mistake, truly I am not worth anything."
"Truly you are very much worth anything I could ever craft up as a smith." he hummed. "Ibinê, don't be so harsh on yourself. Come now, let me take you somewhere safe." Thorin hummed as he held her hand and gently guided her back to the location in which he had learned to call home even if it was temporary.
She couldn't help but smile as he called her with such pet names. To think maybe the two were meant to be with one and another from the start was almost fairytale like for (y/n). Something she had often read in those books she would hide away to read.
"Amrâlimê," she smiled at him knowing fully well of khuzdul pet names, since her father had often called her such things. "Thank you so much, I truly am indebted to you."
"I know how you can pay me back." he hummed as he stopped right before the front door.
"How so?" she asked as she stopped to stare directly in his blue eyes. She had this sense of curiosity and wonder as what he wanted in return for his actions today.
He smiled softly at her and leaned forwards pressing his lips to her own. It was a passionate kiss, one the two had been growing and harboring for the past couple weeks, one that could not go unnoticed by either of them.
"Thorin," she hummed as she looked up at him with doe eyes that seemed to make the king under the mountain quake in his boots. "Tell me what it is you desire."
"I desire to stay with you for as long as I live, as long as you wish for the same for me." (y/n) understood now, and she couldn't even dare to say no because she desired it just as much as he did.
"Of course, thorin," she smiled cupping his cheeks making the man smile from ear to ear and if you would ask his friends and family it was an odd sight to see.
"That's what all that fussing for the perfect jewelry and the day dreaming was for," Dis hummed as she looked out the window smiling at the two. "I never thought I would see the day in which Thorin would ever find someone to love."

(Y/n) glanced down at the people gathering in the village getting ready to have the time of their lives.
She loved this time of year, people from all over came to view the Festival of Lights that Rivendell always displayed. It was just an event nobody wanted to miss no matter what was going on during that period of time.
“I should have known you would be here watching as many flock to the sight of markets and shops.” She turned around and smiled at the lord who ruled Rivendell to his best abilities.
“Yeah, I liked the view up here, lord Elrond.” She turned back around and glanced upon the people sweating in between one and another. “They always have so much energy on this very day.”
“Well that's because it only happens once every year.” He smiled at the elleth as he leaned against the balcony. “A year to us is nothing, but a year to those other beings who come and enjoy our festivities, it means the world to them to see this.”
“I see,” she smiled as she watched men and women roam Rivendell. They looked as if they were little ants roaming around trying to find the next best thing. “Time is different for everyone, but should be cherished by all though.”
“That’s exactly right,” he smiled at her as she took in the events and sucked in all the good vibes.
“These festivities…” she trailed off as she looked away from the groupings below the two. “They always give me a sense of happiness, something I can’t remember all the time how it feels. It’s been so long since I felt the joy of a child, like I could go down there and enjoy the people all around.”
Elrond knew she had a lack of emotion since her parents had passed in battle long ago beside him. So he made it his duty to take care of her for them. She had lost happiness and it was something that was hard to get back after you lost it.
“Then let go, go enjoy the festivities and the good moods.” He nudged her lightly. “It’s a long lifetime without ever feeling joy, especially the joy we had when we were just little children running around. Give in, let it fill your heart with so much excitement.”
She stared out past the columns and smiled. She seemed to have some kind of mirth in her body.
“I think I shall!” She grabbed her tunic and wrapped it tighter around her as the fall air chilled her. She rushed past Elrond in excitement, giggling as she bounced down the steps leaping past Lindir who was confused.
“Excuse me Lindir, I must find the best stall in town!” Elrond stood there smiling as she soon became an ant in the mix of the festivities down below.
“She seemed rather happy, that’s unusual.” Lindir hummed as he stood beside the lord he served..
“She doesn’t get excited often, no.” He smiled at Lindir as the two watched. “Why keep her from enjoying something once in a while. Just like you, I thought I gave you orders to go and enjoy the festivities as well.”
Lindir swallowed as Elrond glared at him lightly in a teasing way as if he was saying I told you so.
“I got bored,” he said, clearly that was a lie. The ellon just didn’t know what to do without looking like a fool, for most ellons this was prime time to have a date to a festivity. One of the biggest festivities in the whole village. “Not into big crowds, too loud.”
“Hmm,” Elrond raised his eyebrow and chuckled. “Seems to me, you feel a little different about the festivities.”
“Psh,” Lindir brushed it off. “No my lord.”
“Go enjoy it, that one elleth from Lothlórien is here.” He winked at his second hand man. “She always loves to visit you when she is here with Galadriel. Go be like (y/n).”
Lindir blushed as he glared at the crowd before him. Somewhere down there (y/n) was having a good time.
And at that she was. She had found Arwen and Aragorn and laughed more than she had in the year since this festivity.
“What’s this?” She asked Arwen and Aragorn who tugged her to almost every stall in town.
“Cotton candy!” Arwen picked up the delectable sugary treat. “Put it on your tongue like so,” she did as she said. “And watch it melt and turn into a sweet delectable festival treat.”
(Y/n) followed the instructions and instantly her eyes grew bigger. She was amazed by this very treat.
“Looks like she found something she very much likes.” Haldir stopped and smiled at the companions before him.
“Haldir, old friend,” Aragorn shook the elf’s hand.
“It’s magic,” she smiled as Arwen handed her more and she did the same as Arwen again. “Very good magic.”
“It’s just pure sugar,” Haldir smiled at his elleth friend. “Be careful how much you eat. A stomach ache could follow, and that could ruin one's night.”
“Sounds like a tempting fate to partake in, just so I can eat this festive treat.” She grabbed Haldir's hands and smiled as the three of them stared shocked at (y/n)’s actions.  She was never this friendly nor seeking this much interaction.
“Well your stomach will tell you differently, don’t complain to me later,” he chuckled as he ruffled her hair. It was good to see her not so lost and scared like she always seemed. Good to see her not so numb to the pain the world had inflicted on her at a young age.
“The dance is going to start after the lights,” Aragorn smiled at Haldir as if he was trying to set up his friend. Haldir tried to hide his blush. “Most ellons have a date by then.”
“Well as long as you save me at least one dance (y/n),” Haldir smiled, keeping it polite and friendly.
“Of course marchwarden.” She giggled as she stared at a stall with all sorts of weird things and the man sitting behind it was the one and only Gandalf the white. “I’ll be back, I must visit an old friend!” She rushed off as the three smiled at her as she didn’t disappear too far.
“How much do you want to bet Lord Elrond is giving Lindir a pep talk to ask Lilah,” Haldir asked Arwen who giggled covering her mouth.
“Oh a lot, no one has ever seen him happy here, he needs to be more like (y/n) on this very day! Her excitement comes once a year.” She smiled at the person she treated like a sister. “And it seems to make her happier and happier each year.”
“Lindir?” Aragorn shook his head. “And Lothlórien’s Lilah?” He asked Haldir who chuckled this time with Arwen.
“Humans, blind to the signs of attraction and love from an elleth or ellon.” Haldir shook his head as he walked off to find his brothers who were roaming about causing some sort of trouble he would have to stop. “How silly you beings can be.”
“I love it here so much!” (Y/n) exclaimed as she leaned over the counter talking to the wizard as he was used to her spurt of manic during the light festival. “The lights, my Ada, he used to tell me all the time about it. Tell me how to gleam and brighten up the mountain. The way he described it was true, it does exactly that each and every year.”
“Well your father seemed like a true story teller,” Gandalf chuckled as he leaned forward and gave her a sparkler and two. “Take this my dear, to another good year of brightening up your emotions. May you never lose your happiness on this day.”
“Thank you Gandalf, for another good year.” She smiled as she stared upon the thing he gave her. She wasn’t sure how it would work but she was sure she would figure it out.
“There she is, brother!” She turned her head and so did Gandalf smiling as everyone came around and spotted the diamond of the festival. She was the reason for the festival each year.
“Rumil, Orophin, don’t harm her.” Haldir chided them as they rushed to her, glomping her in a hug.
Daylight was barely there and night clinging to the mountain as it was almost dark enough to light the lanterns and let them float to the heavens above.
“Look Orophin, she has sparklers from none other than Gandalf.” She looked down at them and pushed them out towards the two.
“Let’s light them!” Rumil took one as he glanced back at Haldir.
“I don’t have a match, ask the wizard who’s selling it.” Haldir smirked at the three as they excitedly begged the old wizard.
“Let me see what I can do,” he smiled as he casted some fire and lit them for all three of the elves.
(Y/n) stared down at it, surprised by the amount of happiness it brought her. A spark that seemed to stay lit and give off some form of power and happiness.
It brought real joy to her heart.
She peaked up at Rumil and Orophin who were dancing around with the sparklers in her hand. She followed suit and twirled around in the open space giggling and laughing with joy and happiness.
This reminded her of her childhood when her mother and father were still around. The amount of fun she had back then was incomparable to any other day except for today.
And when it died out her excitement never left instead she looked for the next best thing. And that was getting a lantern. She grabbed Rumil and Orophin's hand and rushed them to the nearest line with Haldir following the three of them. When she reached the front she was handed one along with the three other ellons following her footsteps. She rushed to the best spot in town where she knew Elrond and the others would be by the fountain. She sat down beside king Thranduil and he smiled at her as she smiled from ear to ear at him.
“Seems you had a pretty eventful day, little one.” He patted her head as he helped her stand as they started to light the lanterns with the help of Gandalf magic.
“How could I not, this only comes upon us once a year.” She smiled as she stared at her lit up lantern that was wanting to fly already. She watched as people made their wishes and let them go. She stared back at hers and stood closer to Elrond who seemed to make his wish and let it go, not after Arwen and Aragorn did the same.
“Look (y/n)!” She glanced up and smiled at Rumil who was having too much fun as well. “It’s high!”
She giggled as she watched it fly higher. By now she was the only one left to not have let her lantern go.
“What are you waiting for dear?” Thranduil asked as Galadriel and Celeborn peaked around from the king and spotted her deep in thought.
“Just make a wish, meleth nîn,” Elrond placed a hand on her shoulder as she pushed forward and stopped and turned around smiling.
“How could I make a wish, when all I have ever asked is right here before me.” She glanced at everyone she held dearly to her heart. “I now understand Ada!” She froze and blushed furiously as she shied away.
Elrond chuckled as he stood closer to her.
“I’m very honored to be considered your Adar,” he told her as he placed a general kiss on her forehead and then to Arwen who stood beside her father in celebration. “You two are both my precious daughters. I’m very lucky to have you both in my life. Now make a wish, something you truly desire, because you both deserve it.” He whispered as he backed up with Arwen hooked to his side. She stepped forward and glanced at Haldir who was deep in thought glancing at his own lantern. She trotted down a few steps and stood near him as she grabbed his hand, surprising him.
“Together?” She asked as she smiled up at him.
“Together, meleth nîn” he hummed as he smiled down at her. “One, two, three,” they both raised them up making a wish letting them go as they glided right beside each other the whole entire time. Almost as if they were dancing with each other, like two lovers.
“I think you owe me that dance,” he smiled down at her as she giggled and smiled up at him intertwining her hand with his and leaned on him.
“Or even better marchwarden, you could just dance with me all night,” she smiled as her freckled nose and cheek seemed to scrunch up. “Until the stars go back into hiding and the sun casts upon us when she rises back to her domain, and the moon goes in to take her rest before her next cycle.”
“That sounds delightful,” he said as he watched as the music started up and everyone started to dance around them. He grabbed her by the waist and swayed with her dancing around the fountain with her family she held close to her heart and now him as well.
“I hoped so,” she leaned onto his chest and tucked herself into his warmth. “I think I finally know how to no longer be numb to this world's pain, but rather take in its beauty and be happy with you by my side.”
“How could I ever pass that opportunity up.” He leaned down and kissed her nose as she snickered and cupped his face tugging him down closer to him.
“Don’t be a shy marchwarden,” she kissed him on the lips passionately. “You shouldn’t keep a lady waiting.”
“I’ll remember that next time.” He leaned down and  kissed her once again. “For I have all eternity to learn.”

“Be Safe,” Pepper said as she sat Morgan down on the ground for her to play. “We worry about you a lot.” Pepper said as she cupped the young woman’s face and kissed her cheek gently. Tony came up from behind grabbing a popsicle from the freezer and reaching in for another one.
“Yeah, you make me and Pepper worry all the time.” Tony smirked as he handed her a popsicle. “Let’s go out and talk.”
She followed close behind as she waved to Morgan in the process. She sat down on the cabin steps and stared out at the lake in front of them.
It was calmer than usual today, the waves that crashed on the shoreline were gentle compared to what it was yesterday. It was funny how so much could change in one day.
“I’m thankful for everything you did for me and my family and everybody else in the avengers, but you don’t have to go out and deal with fixing Thor.” Tony hummed as he stared at the girl he thought of as his own daughter. “He has Loki again and he can now heal on his own.”
She paused and hummed. Tony was right, he could heal on his own, but she felt she needed to be there for him. He had always been there for her, plus there was just something between the two.
“I can’t let him go through it alone,” she smiled sadly at Tony. “But I’ll be gone for two weeks. Soon I’ll be back just like I was never gone.”
“We still worry about you,” Tony hummed as he finished his popsicle. “You're like a kid to us.”
“I know, you guys are my parents, you raised me and I’m thankful,” she smiled as she took a bite from her popsicle. “It’s just if I don't do this for Thor, you know I’ll never rest in peace after that.”
“You guys were always close.” Tony hummed. “Sometimes I think you were a little closer than you let on.”
She chuckled, and shook her head.
“I’ll let you think about that one.” She stood up and finished her popsicle tossing it in the garbage. “I got a plane to catch. I’ll have Friday send the car back when I get out.” She turned back and smiled at him as Pepper came out with Morgan waving goodbye. “Love you guys and don’t worry too much I’ll call when we touch down. And I’ll be back in two weeks.”
She got Into the car which was already packed. She looked back one last time as she smiled and gently waved. This would be a long trip for her.
And it was. It was the longest trip of her life. She had to go through customs, get her passport checked, get wanded down, don’t forget the pat down. She was randomly selected for that. It was the longest two hours of her life. When she sat her ass down in the cabin of the plane she was grateful, because she was tired by the end of it all.
Well until she sat on the plane for 14 hours without a single ounce of shut eye all because a lovely little kid behind her kept having a tantrum and kicking her seat. Bless that child’s soul and the parents soul. It was a long flight for her, so she could only imagine what it was like for them. She was left staring at movies that took up about two hours at tops so she did get through a pretty extensive list of the movies she wanted to watch. She got to get through about five movies, so that was probably the most productive she had been. When she touched ground the first thing she did was head to the rental place connected to the airport. She needed to get the rental car Tony got her sorted out and fixed. If not then she would be walking a few hundred miles.
She knew she looked exhausted so when the woman at the desk looked at her she gave a sympathetic smile which (y/n) just tried to give one back.
“A long flight?” The woman asked in her native tongue. It took (y/n) a few minutes for her to remember the correct pronunciation and terms in Norwegian.
“Very long,” she snickered slightly. “I need to pick up the rental under Anthony Stark.”
“Wonderful, it’s all ready for you.” She gave (y/n) the keys and handed her some papers she needed to sign for liability issues.
“Great, I need This vacation.” She giggled as she slid the papers back over and grabbed the keys off the counter letting them dangle in her hands.
“You enjoy them, and we’ll see you in a few weeks.” She walked out waiving, gently marching out of the airport finding the eco-friendly electric car parked at the closest parking spot. She had all her luggage trailing behind her as she figured out how she would pack this little electric car to the brim. Tony maybe might have made her overpack, but you know what, it’s fine. She was going to be fine. She just needed to open the truck and stack it all up. Which she did and it didn't all fit in the little car. So she resorted to moving some of the stuff in the back seat. She shut the door and slammed the trunk shut marching to the front looking at her handwork smacking the dust off her hand before she got in and left before she decided it was a disaster.
“Good enough, two hours till Tønsberg.” She hummed as she stared at the car and peeled out of the little airport. She wasn’t used to driving on the opposite side and even sitting on the opposite side. It made everything feel so weird to her. Well weird enough that she turned the radio up and started to sing songs that appeared on the radio. One could say she was having the time of her life, or just suffering from the lack of sleep. It was getting harder to tell at the moment since she was struggling to find her phone in the sea of papers and bags. When she did get the lucky swipe on it she looked at the caller I.D. and instantly answered it not wanting to anger the mother inside of pepper pots.
“Hey mom,” she sighed as she got used to calling her adoptive family as their rule. They took her in at nineteen off the streets, that’s basically adopting and they took care of her even now at twenty three. “It’s been a long trip.”
“I can imagine honey.” Pepper's voice rang in her ear. “Everything going at least decent so far, how close are you to T-tornberg.”
“Tønsberg, good, I’m only thirty minutes away.” She hummed as she watched the backroad signs and the GPS. “It hasn’t been too bad, I don’t know what shit storm I’ll walk into though.”
“I know you love him, well at least that’s what I see.” Pepper hummed over the phone as she could be heard mumbling something to Morgan. “Am I right?”
(Y/n) smiled and shook her head. She knew the answer was that she really cared for him, was that considered love. She didn’t know, love wasn’t her strong suit. She had no idea what it was like to love or any of that. That was just an issue down the road in the future when she finally found the guy.
“I don’t know, if caring is love then maybe.” She cocked her head to the side, shrugging as if pepper could see her. “Maybe not, I don’t know anymore honestly. I never defined what love is, what makes it the glue to marriage. But watching you and Tony, I mean dad, I feel like I get a grasp on it everyday. But to relate it to myself I have no clue.”
She knew pepper was smiling behind the device. She could just tell.
“Well, it tells me you're discovering it over time, so I’ll let you keep searching for it, because I know if you're anything like Tony, you're about to have a breakthrough in the best findings in the world.” She giggled as Pepper acted as if she was the same age as Morgan figuring out something much smaller and not as deep as love. “Just a hint though, maybe just express a little bit of your emotions to him. I’m sure our god of thunder would reciprocate them.”
She paused and smiled. She could give it a shot, but first she needed to see just what shit storm she was walking into.
“I can give that a shot,” she smiled deeply as she felt her heart flutter. It wasn’t going to be that easy though, that’s what she didn’t understand. “Love you guys.”
“We love you two honey, be safe and update me here and there.” She heard pepper tap her feet somewhat, or was that her hand? She didn’t know. “I’m trying not to be a helicopter mom like I read in those parenting books.”
“Don’t worry, Tony’s more of a helicopter parent.” (Y/n) thought back to when she used her powers to go back in time and save all of the avengers and end Thanos before he snapped his fingers. It wasn’t as easy as it sounded and took her many tries to understand what to do and how to do it better. She was just grateful the tenth time was the charm without hardly any time damage. “Especially when he returned to the timeline, and he saw me with all those cuts and bruises. Now he’s a helicopter mom.”
“That’s true,” Pepper giggled as she sighed. “Well I’ll let you enjoy your trip, call me later when it’s all settled.”
“I can do that,” (y/n) smiled as she heard the bye from both her and Morgan with Tony in the back shouting something about a phone call without him. She couldn’t help but giggle as she turned onto another backroad coming face to face with the sign she was in search of. Here goes nothing. She was headed to help a friend and possibly love in need of help. It shouldn’t be too hard.
The new Asgard it read. Please drive slowly, it also warned. It was such a small little town on the coast full of the people that were left. Left of the attack laid upon them from hela and thanos. This crew of people had been through a lot and (y/n)’s heart ached for them. They were such sweet people with good hearts. The fact that Thor had been through all that lead to his breakdown along with the loss of all his family and Jane leaving him. He had struggled mentally to feel like he wasn’t the issue or the burden but oftentimes he failed and (y/n) tried to pick him up as best as she could and place the pieces where they belonged. She often succeeded until something came around and destroyed him once again. So when Loki came home he shut him out and she was called by Val right away with a worried Loki on the other end of the phone. She knew it was serious when Loki was worried, and when Val finally picked up the one phone and tried to work it. Those two things never happened ever, until Thor was in his moods and mentally struggling. She parked just before vals form shutting off the car and tightening the clothes on her body since the air was much chillier near the ocean before them.
“What are we looking at?” She asked as she grabbed her phone and locked the car. She stared at the two, noticing their silent words coming through loud and clear.
“I see,” she hummed as she rubbed her temple and leaned on the car. “How long has it been going on?”
“Since I returned,” Loki quietly hummed.
“Three weeks,” she hummed as she took off her gloves and stuffed them in her coat pocket. She untied her scarf and just let it rest on her shoulders making her way to the door. “Well let me see what I can do.”
She opened the door and looked at the mess he had made in the house. It was horrible and messy and would take weeks to clean. She turned back around and stared at Val and Loki.
“I know he thinks you're not real but where have you been staying?” She asked moving to the side watching the two of them gag at the look of the house.
“I’ve been staying with Valkyrie, hiding from her sight,” Loki growled out.
“Why? So she won't beat you up?” (Y/n) cocked her head to the side.
“It was her request, stay out of my sight,” Loki quoted as he rolled his eyes. “I just do as she says.”
“Probably a safe idea.” She hummed as Val nodded her head.
“Very safe,” the warrior smiled as she followed closely behind (y/n).
(Y/n) hummed as she bent down and picked up the wrappers and garbage the crew had thrown on the ground. She sighed as she could hear the groans of complaints as the people in the living room lost a game (y/n) was assuming.
“This is terrible,” she growled as she tossed the shit back on the ground marching into the living room.
Loki winced as he knew exactly what the girl was about to do.
“(Y/n) I don’t think being angry is the right thing to be at the moment,” he tried to chase after her. “He’s really been grumpy.”
“Oh well, when you live in trash it makes sense.” She huffed as she barged into the room watching as everybody turned and slowly looked at her.
“(Y/n), my little Princess, you came to visit me!” Thor smiled as he finished his game quickly.
“You better put lady in front of it, I’m upset with you.” She huffed as she frowned, pointing a finger at him. “Put the controller down and go get a shower, you reek like death.”
“I’m in the middle of a game, it can wait.” Thor said, turning back to his game causing (y/n) to snort.
“It can wait,” she turned around and looked at Val.
“I guess it can wait,” Val shrugged as she watched (y/n) slowly turn back around.
“Don’t do it,” Loki warned her, still trying not to anger his brother. “You're upset I get it, I’m upset too.”
“Loki shut up, he needs to take better care of himself.” (Y/n) pointed a finger at Loki.
“He’s fine, he’s a god.” Loki hummed.
“He’s a god that smells like shit and isn’t in good mental health.” (Y/n) shot back.
“Noted,” Loki hummed as he leaned back and nodded his head.
“Korg, meik, you better put those controllers down and start cleaning the house.” (Y/n) gave a pointed look at the two of them.
“We’re playing a game (y/n),” Thor shot back.
“Playing a game, huh.” She walked behind the tv and found the cord to unplug the whole thing. She ripped it out and dealt with Thor’s furry. She came out from behind the tv and heard Loki mumble.
“That’s a way to do it.”
“We almost won!” Thor shouted as he tossed the controller down. “That was going to be a win!”
“Thor,” she said calmly, sitting down on the coffee table before him. She reached her hand out and cupped his face, instantly calming him down. “Go get a shower clean up, you smell stinky. And then we need to talk.”
“Yes my love,” he sagged his shoulders and stood up. “Can you brush my hair like you always do?”
She smiled and chuckled.
“Yes, as long as you scrub and condition it really well. I promise to be gentle.” She nodded her head as she watched him leave the room to do just as she told him to do. That’s how much he was wrapped around her finger.
“That was surprisingly easy.” Loki hummed as he sat beside her. “He’s very fond of you.”
“Yeah, Well I’m fond of him.” She smiled as she stared at Loki. “I’m glad you are back as well. I know how much you love me as well, sorry I didn’t get to really explain what happens when you just appeared back on the timeline. I just figured it would be fine till I could make it here in the Summer.” She paused as she glanced at her hands. “Obviously I was wrong when Thor reacted like he did. You two could have called me sooner.”
“Yeah, we probably should have.” Loki hummed. “But I knew how much you were probably healing up and taking the time to regain that energy.”
“How many trips?” Val asked.
“It took me about ten trips back and forth.” She shook her head. “Ten trips to get it all right.”
They both were silent. They knew the amount of power she had to use, and how tired she had to be after the third trip.
“I know I harness the power of time, but using the magic you taught me on top of that and skills with weapons was really hard.” She smiled sadly. “When I got back, I was out for three days catching up on energy.”
She had been to Asgard when Hela took her reign of power, she had been working hard to save Asgard with the brothers and Val. And during that time she had spent lots of time with Loki learning magic, which she picked up on pretty quickly.
“You made it happen though.” Loki hummed. “I’m here to prove it.”
“Stop being cocky,” she punched him gently. “Instead, let's grab garbage bags and clean this joint up.”
“I don’t do that,” Loki hummed as he shook his head.
“Loki, help your brother out.” She hummed as she gave him a look and a smirk. “It will be good for you, prince Loki.”
“I hate you.” He sighed and stood up watching as Korg and Miek started to clean. By the time Thor was out it was a little more liveable. Something she could stand until she could sweep the floors. She picked her head up as she grabbed Loki’s hand and had him drop the bag on the ground where hers went.
“Come on, I think it’s time you really talk to him and show him you're real.” She smiled as she guided him to the coffee table and allowed him to sit down. She sat on the chair Thor was just sitting at playing his game before his shower.
“Come on Thor,” she cooed out to him waving the man over. “Sit down and I’ll brush your hair.”
“Are you really here?” He asked with tears in his eyes. She looked at how tight he clutched his brush and smiled sadly.
“Thor, I’m really here,” she nodded her head.
“So that means Loki is here?” He asked as she watched his lips tremble.
The two brothers argued and fought when they were alive, but when it came down to losing Loki it killed Thor on the inside and out. He hadn’t been the same, he had been so different. And when she had arrived earlier it was clear to her that Loki was suffering from the fact that Thor didn’t believe that he was here and in the flesh and blood. It made her heart ache knowing that that was going on and she wasn’t able to fix it right away. The fact that the two brothers were going through this was hard and Thor suffered from the fact that he believed everything that happened with thanos was his fault and it wasn’t just his. All the avengers made mistakes even (y/n) did.
“I’m real, brother,” Loki said softly. He stared up at his brother hearing the cries escape his lips and watching as he fell to the ground hearing the brush crash to the ground and him curl up in his sweatpants and flannel shirt. She could tell he was still stressed and that’s why he was still heavy but that didn’t matter, she still loved him just worried about his habits. Stress eating wasn’t healthy, it wasn’t the fact that he was heavy set. She would love him whether he was thick or thin.
“I watched you die,” he cried with tears falling from his eyes.
“Well she saved me,” Loki stood up and fixed his black dress suit and kneeled down sighing while he hugged his brother. “She had it all figured out from day one.”
“You two aren’t the only ones with a few tricks up your sleeves.” She smiled gently.
“I’m so glad you're back, as the oldest it’s my job to protect you and I failed!” He clutched tightly onto Loki. “I’m so sorry.”
“I’m so sorry I haven’t been the best brother in the world,” Loki said gently as he hugged Thor back. This was the first time she had ever seen the two hug or even be affectionate to one and another. It was something she always figured they decided they were too manly for but that at the moment wasn’t the case.
“You were the best little brother,” Thor said smiling.
“I guess then you could say you were the best older brother.” He paused and looked at Thor giving him a raised eyebrow. “Though you have packed on a few pounds since I last saw you.”
“Loki,” (y/n) hissed.
“What he’s been eating too much,” Loki said, defending himself.
“I have, I’m so fat,” Thor cried harder.
“Thor, you look fine.” (Y/n) smiled as the man looked down at his protruding stomach. “You're still as charming as ever. Weight doesn’t matter.”
“Yes it does,” he whined like a little kid making her glare daggers at him. “No it doesn’t.”
“Good now hurry up, I need to brush your hair before it dries all tangled and hurts.” He grabbed the brush as Loki stepped back and sat on the coffee table once again. He made his way over to her and sat before her like he always used to do and allowed her to gently comb through the locks he had grown back since ragnarok had occurred and Asgard was destroyed. She leaned down and kissed his temple, whispering how much she was grateful for him being kind to Loki even if that might not have been the case when he first arrived. She knew a little bit of what went down from what Val had said. She knew that he had cursed the man out and said that it was a joke to be in the form of his dead brother as if it was a nightmare plaguing him every day.
“I’m afraid that if I let you go, you’ll be gone forever.” Thor whispered as she stopped and gently looked at him. Loki by then had just excused him knowing the two would probably need some alone time.
“I can assure you that will never happen,” she brushed her fingers through his hair.
“It happens to everyone I know.” Thor whispered as he clutched her hand that he had pulled away from his head. “Everyone has been taken away from me.” She couldn hear the devastation in his voice. The sound of a broken hearted god who had nothing good in his life ever happened to him. She ached for him and his pain knowing his life was full of sacrifices no one should ever have to go through but he did.
“Thor, I love you.” She said quickly watching as he froze and sat rigid. It was as if she had just given him a bad omen of some sort. She let him sit in silence as she tried to decipher what his body was reading and what was churning in his mind but she couldn’t quite get a grasp on it.
“Thor?” She called out to him. “I really mean it when I say it, and I don’t say it often. But I love you, and I’m here to stay.”
“You can’t see the future, you can’t promise me that you’ll always be here.” He turned back and stared deep into her soul. It scared her a little bit how quick he went from being soft to worrying about things that were out of his control.
“Thor, I can see the future.” She said gently. “I’ve seen everyone’s future I touch and more. I’ve seen your future Thor, I’ve seen mine over and over.” She paused. “I don’t just travel through time, I control it on a certain aspect.”
“Don’t lie to me and give me false hope.” He shot back. She knew he was just in pain and that was why he was so out of it. But when he raised his voice at her she couldn’t help but get a little upset herself.
“Thor it’s not false hope when Frigga herself tied our fates together.” She said softly.
“When my mother died all her work went with her.” Thor huffed as he stood taller than her and glared down at her.
“Then why is she still tying people’s dates together. She may have died in her vessel but her soul lives on in Valhalla working away with souls and love together. So does Odin!” She said quickly standing up chest to chest with him, well somewhat. More like stomach to chest since she was much smaller than him. “She’s still a goddess with goddess duties, just as your father is doing as well!”
“You don’t know anything about me and my family!” He shouted, throwing the coffee table across the room. She shrieked and stepped back knowing he was stressing out way too much. “I could lose you, lose Loki, and everyone else to some high being and I would be left alone again. I can’t trust your words.”
“Then don’t, trust my actions.” She said, trying to reach out to him.
“Actions won’t go very far when you're dead laying by my feet because I caused your death.” He shot back. “You think you can tell the future how funny. For a tiny human with powers you couldn’t tell fake from reality. Your mind isn’t as great as Asgardians, your eyes are weaker and more susceptible to lies.”
She froze and stared at him in disbelief.
“You're right, I'm not as good as you gods and goddesses.” She sat the hairbrush down and stared at the god before her. “I’ll never be as good as Jane. Should have known that.”
“You're right you’ll never be as good as Jane because she was smart enough to walk away.” Thor just shot her through the heart. That was the final blow, the one that made its mark and set her heart ablaze in a fiery trap that felt like hell.
“Should have known, for a god your stupid.” She shot back and rushed out of the living room and passed everyone who was giving the two a moment. She opened the door and grabbed her coat, not even bothering to put it on.
“(Y/n),” Val sat her stuff down and rushed out of the house. “Come back.”
“I don’t have time to always fix him and then let him pull a stunt like that.” She turned around quickly. “It’s done, I’ve done so much in my lifetime and gained the people I love so dearly back. If he’s okay walking out, then I should be too. It’s over.”
“He didn’t mean too,” Loki tried to say for Thor knowing fully how his brother felt.
“Loki, I did what needed to be done, now he knows you're real.” She shrugged her shoulders trying to smile but it instantly turned Into tears and a crying fit. And she didn’t want them to see that side of her. “My job is done, Look how quickly I fixed it. Now I can go home to my family that cares about me.” She cupped her mouth as her lips wobbled and she stared at them. “Might as well enjoy a vacation here though. I don’t want Tony’s money to go to waste like the spoiled person I am.”
“(Y/n) you can stay with me if you want,” Val said as she tried to rush her back inside from the cold.
“No, I probably shouldn’t, I might travel a little south maybe a few hours away so I can’t be stuck near anybody. I think some alone time is needed.” She rushed to her car as Val rushed out behind her. Loki just stood at the doorway staring sadly at her from knowing she was a stubborn being and his brother had made a grave mistake. He took a few steps back and rushed away from the doorframe and into the living room she assumed as she just unlocked the car and tossed everything in getting ready to escape from her worst nightmare. She was such a fool for thinking that spilling her guts would get her what she wanted someone to love and love her. What an idiot she was.
“I’m sure it’s a misunderstanding. He might not be feeling great, he’s been really off.” Val tried to make up excuses. “He cares for you deeply and asks about you all the time.”
“He showed me how he truly felt today,” she sniffled as she pointed at Val. “That I was incapable of doing anything and everything I knew was all just a lie and showed to me just to appease me. No, I was just surrounded by the wrong person. Someone who can’t put his faith in me to do what I know best.” She paused and smiled sadly. “That's not someone I should surround myself with then.” She sat down in the car and shut the door, starting the vehicle up. She glanced at Val one last time before she backed out of the driveway of the house and onto the road where she sped out of the little town and onto the road she had just come from finding the hotel Tony had booked her where she would most likely stay for the next two weeks. And she drove for thirty minutes arriving at the hotel Tony had hand selected for her knowing it was safe and protected. He had put a lot of time and research into finding the best hotel for her and she was grateful. She grabbed her bags and rushed into the hotel lobby glancing at the man behind the desk hating the fact that she looked terrible now.
“Need a room?” She glanced up at the older man and nodded her head.
“Yes, I have a reservation for a single room, named stark.” She mumbled.
“I have your reservation,” he said as he handed her a key card and gave her a free voucher. “I also will give you this for a free bottle of wine, seems like you need it tonight.”
“Thanks,” she smiled slightly and wiped her eyes. “I think that is very much needed.” She grabbed the voucher and quietly thanked him, dragging her belongings all the way up to her room where she tossed everything down and flopped onto the bed. That’s when the tears began and didn’t end for the night.
The next morning she was on the phone with the whole family explaining it all.
“Yeah, I confessed,” she said over the phone looking at the hologram of pepper and Tony. She shrugged her shoulders and felt her throat start to burn as if all her memories were coming back as if she was reliving it. Her lips wobbled as she sniffled and did her best to not relive the moment. “Yeah, it didn't go so well.”
“Oh honey, I’m so sorry,” Pepper felt terrible. She was the one who suggested it and it hurt in her soul. But (y/n) knew it wasn’t her fault, she was just suggesting it. “I’m so sorry, I didn’t think my advice would go south.”
“Well it’s a good thing, you learned before it was too late,” Tony smiled sadly. “I’m sorry kiddo.”
“It’s not your guy's fault,” she hummed as she looked away and wiped her eyes. “I was being stupid and it just went down the rabbit hole.”
“It’s okay, sissy,” Morgan peaked under Tony’s arms as she crawled through and sat on her fathers lap. “I still love you.”
“We love her three thousand dont we.” Tony smiled.
“Yep,” Morgan said as she blew (y/n) a kiss which she caught and blew the little girl on of her own.
“Well I love you guys three thousand as well.” She wiped her eyes. “It was silly of me to think someone else could love me more than Morgan and my family.” She tried to smile and laugh for the girl even if her heart ached.
“I think Mr. Thor just made a mistake, that’s all.” Morgan said as (y/n) cocked her head to the side. “He told me he loved you a lot, I think a little more than three thousand.”
“When did you hear that?” Pepper asked as she stared down at her daughter who had Tony’s features and her good looks.
“I had a tea party with him and he was talking all about sissy.” Morgan smiled as she played with her stuffed animal. “He was silly.”
“Well he made himself very clear.” (Y/n) tried to not get her hopes up.
“I don’t know, our pumpkin might be onto something,” Tony looked at her smirking.
(Y/n) shook her head. She really didn’t know what to believe anymore.
“We’ll see, I have two more weeks here.” (Y/n) hummed. “He can chase me a bit. I’m upset with him for telling me I was practically stupid and weak.”
“Let him cool off and just see what happens,” Pepper suggested. “Don’t just shut him out now.”
“I’ll try to be a little more understanding.” (Y/n) sighed as she wiped her eyes. “I just felt humiliated and belittled and I don’t think that’s what he was trying to do.”
“Well we love you, and you go out and get some fresh air,” Tony smiled as he tried to get her preppy again. “It will all come around again.”
“I hope,” she smiled. “Love you guys.”
“We love you too.”
The screen went blank as the hologram disappeared. Maybe it would be a good time to explore. She stood up and quickly grabbed her coat waltzing out of her hotel room with her purse and hotel key. She didn’t even get a foot out of the room before she heard shouting down the hallway.
“There she is!” She froze and turned to the sound of the voice seeing two people she really wasn’t ready to see.
“Loki? Valkyrie?” She hummed, cocking her head to the side and trying to be as polite as she could. She knew they did nothing. It was just the fact that they reminded her of Thor and she wasn’t ready to remember Thor.
“(Y/n), please, he’s been so whiny since you left.” Loki groaned as he thought about the pouty brother of his. He tried to tell him what he did was wrong but the god just rather wine about his faults and blame it on his weight gain.
“It’s not my time to fix him.” she paused as she pointed a finger at them. “I think it was clearly an eye opener to me that I need to fix myself and worry about myself. Not a god who can clearly care for himself.”
“He’s been pretty bad since you left.” Val hummed.
“He's just been sobbing into the corner of the house hugging one of his pillows.” loki groaned as he rolled his eyes.
“I'm not going to crawl to him and fix him just so he can pull the same stunt.” (y/n) got a little anxious and raised her voice. “If he feels he messed up he can come to me and apologize. It's a two way street.” She pushed past the two and made her way out of the hallway and into the elevator with the two following her behind as if they were lost puppies.
“He smells,” Loki whined, starting to sound like what he was describing as Thor a minute ago.
“Tell him to take a shower.” She shrugged her shoulders, hopping off the elevator when it stopped on the ground floor and marched through the lobby. “I’m here for two weeks, no longer babysitting. I’m susceptible to lies and enchantments, probably why I was turned away or whatever.” she smiled at the two. “I’m going to try having a stress free time here and maybe even decided to give up my job as a hero on the avengers. Someone could make me susceptible to lies on a job like that.”
“She's a little salty it seems.” Loki hummed.
“I wonder why,'' Val shot back at the god of mischief.
“Oh and if he's upset about me walking out, he can get off his ass and come here to this hotel right to room five ‘o seven and apologize himself if he's that upset.” she waved and walked out of the building leaving the two standing there mouth gaped right open confused at what was going on with this new salty attitude she was in.
What was she doing being a little mean? Teaching some people a lesson that she's a little stronger and more reliable than what they think she is. and what she says goes and that's how it's going to be. Tony taught her to shoot for the stars, that meant her mental health as well. Pepper taught her to love herself and be kind to others, while also not taking shit from people who hurt her. Morgan taught her to be young and playful, but never lying to herself. Things she needed to do more often and that started today.
»»————- ♔ ————-««
She hadn’t seen the two for at least five days since that day. It was a little weird because she knew the two were persistent. She was actually beginning to worry that they were planning something out rather than actually handling thor. She even at one point thought she should go check on Thor and see if he was actually taking care of himself.
Then she remembered that she needed to be a little stronger and not cave in so quickly. He needed to learn that she wouldn’t always be there if he was going to snap like that even if it was a minor snap.
She needed time to cool off and by the looks of it so did he. Clearly the two had persuaded him to apologize to the woman he was bonded to.
“Do I look good brother?” Thor fixed his color as he tried on the suit.
Loki paused and frowned as he sneered at the suit.
“It’s not your thing.” Loki hummed as he grabbed his hoodie and cargo jacket he always wore. “But I also don’t know how you lost that stomach of yours in five days and gained all that muscle back.” Loki glanced at Thor, a little jealous.
“I worked out,” he hummed, glancing at his younger brother grabbing the clothes from his hand and instantly going back into the bathroom changing into the new clothes.
“I mean that's how it typically happens,” Loki acknowledged. “Just not in five days.”
“A magician never tells his secrets.” Thor said through the door.
“You're hardly even considered an apprentice to a magician.” Loki shot back. “But I'm not going to argue.”
“Good idea.” Thor smiled as he stalked out of the bathroom adjusting his carhartt. “Now if you excuse me, I need to get my love back.”
And that's where he ended up, standing outside her hotel door knocking on the little wooden door as he waited with his heart beating out of his chest. He wanted to hug her and hold her tight while apologizing for all the stupif things he did.
He heard the door creek open and she peaked out. He could have sworn he saw her eyes light up at the sight of him, but he didn’t want to assume.
“(y/n), my love, I brought you flowers.” Thor smiled as he handed the flowers to her gently. He was surprised he wasn’t corrected and told to call you lady (y/n) since you were technically mad at him. But when he heard a small whimper escape past her lips and sniffling he knew it was because she was upset with him and hurt by his words and lack of appearance. He held his hand out for her to take which she turned her head to the side acting if it was never there. So he brushed his hand softly through her hair instead and cupped her head. He looked at her not forcing her head to look at him, but rather to just gain her attention and have her listen.
“I'm very sorry my love,” he hummed as he rubbed his thumb behind her ear. “I was wrong to call you weak and dumb, your strong and very intellegent and I love you more then I could ever show you.”
Her eyes gently landed on his form taking in the notice of the change of his body shape and frowning.
“You're my intelligent little human, and I mistreated my queen.” he leaned forward a bit. He wanted to kiss her puffy lips. He could tell she had been chewing on them with her anxiety. “I need to trust you more and stop trying to protect you as much as I do.”
She brought the flowers closer to her face and sniffled as she tried to hide her tears. He gently pushed her into the hotel room and shut the door making the conversation more private so no eavesdroppers would hear his more private words for her.
“I love you, you know that.” She nodded her head listening to him as he cooed to her and tried to make everything better. “My mother created a bond between the two of us that makes us irrespirable.”
“Now you believe in that,” she huffed, staring up at him with wavering eyes.
“I believed in it from the start,” he sighed. “Because I always knew of it, I just was being stupid and trying to protect you from being hurt by me.”
“How?” she growled out.
“I don’t know, I was just fearful. I was a bad luck charm that always led to death.” he sighed as he leaned forward and tried to kiss her gently before she placed her fingers over his lips and halted him.
“You're not, have more faith in yourself and the people who care for you.” she wiped her face with her free hand that wasn’t being kissed gently by thor.
“With you by my side, I know I can learn how to have more faith in those around me.” he smiled at her.
“You sly bastard.” she felt him grip her fingers and give them one last kiss before he pulled them down to his side and kissed her lips passionately.
“Let me love you for all eternity.” he smiled at her as he pulled away from her lips.
“If you let me love you for all eternity as well and trust me to know and do what's right.” she hummed looking up at him with glossy eyes.
“Forever and always.” he kissed her again.
“Still doesn’t mean you're out of the dog house.” she glared at him, making him smirk. “I don’t care if you're a god, but taking care of yourself is important. I'll love you no matter your size, but stress eating and not showering is not healthy for you. Start taking better care of yourself.”
“Yes my love,” he smirked at her. “Though I'm pretty proud of my super quick weight loss.”
“Which was probably not healthy!” she shot back.
“The potion had no side effects on the nutrition facts.” Thor smirked as she glared at him.
“Thor!” she slapped his shoulder. “I love you know matter how you look.”
“How about I make up for my mistakes.” he smiled at her, grateful for her love.
“That sounds fine,” she stuck her nose in the air. “I deserve a lot of apologies.”
“Then let me get to work,” he hummed. “Where too.”
“Maybe the ocean.” she smiled tip toeing to kiss his cheek, but he turned his head and kissed her on the lips.
“Sounds might lovely.”

Geralt X Reader-Destiny
Tumblr media
(y/n) groaned as she sat down on the plot of grass she was ordered to sit at. Jaskier sat beside her strumming a song he was currently writing, it was annoying and quite catchy.
“Can you stop?” She asked with venom dripping from her lips. “It’s annoying and sucks.”
Jaskier paused and looked at her grumpy figure. He looked slightly offended but that was only because she bruised his livelihood.
“I’m actually offended, you sound like Geralt.” Jaskier sputtered as he sat his lute down on his lap. “Has Geralt captured you into some sort of mind control where he desires your temperament and attitude?”
(Y/n) stopped what she was doing, which was just pulling out blades of grass, and looked at the bard. Her eyes glared holes into his body while he just stared at her on edge.
“Watch what you say, or that lute will be half way up your ass,” she hissed out.
“Yes M’lady,” Jaskier said, quickly gulping and shutting his mouth as quickly as he could.
Not far off in the distance, Geralt was fighting a group of kikimore. They were not able to see him but they could hear the occasional grunt and hiss of pain from both parties.
“So frustrating!” (Y/n) groaned as she tossed the grass from her hand down.
“What’s so frustrating?” Jaskier turned to face her life to the side, worth more than any instrument.
“Everything, I mean Jaskier was lost in the woods!” She clutched her hair and tugged in it falling back. “Ran into kikimore, who knows what’s next!”
“We’re Not lost,” he said, trying to reassure her.
“No we are lost,” Geralt said, scaring the two friends, making them scream and flounder around.
“Geralt, don’t do that!” Jaskier stood up quickly shoving his finger into the white wolf's chest. “Could have killed us.”
“That’s the least of our worries,” (y/n) shot the bard an eye roll and walked ahead of the two. “I think we have a better chance of being eaten by wolves.”
“What’s got her upset?” Geralt asked the bard who simply shrugged his shoulders.
“A lot,” (y/n) turned around glaring at the Witcher not giving him the time of day either.
“Hmmm,” was simply what the Witcher said, not pushing into her life anymore.
Roach was right where Geralt had left her, tied to a tree for the time being. It was easy access for the three of them if one thing went wrong.
“Get on the horse,” Geralt's low voice caked out to the young woman who was too busy in her thoughts then listening to the outside world.
“For god's sake, can’t you be better than your pathetic self. You're an embarrassment!” She closed her eyes holding back the tears and turning it into a sour mood. “Should have stayed on your father's farm to be a slave just like the rest! Worthless!”
“(Y/n)?” Geralt called out to her holding the reins in his big calloused hands. Jaskier met the eyes of the Witcher who was hiding his worried look, but churches when the girl still didn’t answer. “(Y/n) get on the horse.” His hands reached and touched her shoulder, making her yelp and jump around with a nasty glare set on her face.
“What do you want?” Her voice was weak, much opposite to her glare she was giving off. She was in a fragile state of mind and Geralt now realized.
“You can ride on roach,” he said calmly knowing it was better to not make a scene with her in the woods. He knew just what to do to calm her down when they stopped for the night.
“Oh, okay,” she whispered, walking over to roach and mounting the trusty steed.
“Good girl,” Geralt muttered smiling up at the female ever so slightly. For a man with no emotions as the stories told he was quite the opposite. He had a lot of emotions, especially for the young woman who traveled with him often. He knew of her troubled past and how it always caught up to her in due time, but he would always be right there to heal her ailment as if they were just far away dreams.
But at times he never knew that she suffered without telling him. Like today he could catch the slight frown on her lips and the distant look. On other occasions she could hide it well and act as if she wasn’t fearing her past and the broken mental state it left her in.
That night Geralt got a fire started, it was a cold night and he knew the other two would whine and complain for warmth if the fire was not lit. so he did it out of the graciousness of he heart.
He sat close to the (h/c) haired female who was very distant and cold still. She would watch the flames lick up into the sky leaving ashen coals too look as if they were fireflies looking for a friend in the darkness.
Darkness…
Her enemy behind unchartered territory often considered her mind.
When the (y/n) was younger she lived on a farm, spent the majority of her time working in the field picking crops, or dealing with the pigs and horses. Those very other moments she was either hiding in her room dreaming of prince charming or an adventure outside of the farm.
Her past may not seem all that bad, but it truly had been a nightmare when you really hear the full thing.
On the farm she was treated just like the hired farm help or even the poor slaves who had to pay their debt back by working for free. She was enslaved by her father because of what her mother was.
(y/n)’s mother was a woman who no one knew much about, she would sell herself for coins just so she could make it in this shitty world. (y/n) knew when she was old enough to understand that that was no right way to go about when trying to survive in this filthy world, but (y/n) also knew that sometimes the world would just beat you up until you only thought of your last resort. And selling oneself was her mother's last resort to a good life even if it got her killed in the end.
Those were the stories her filthy father told her. Every night he would tell her to never be like that filthy scoundrel of a mother. But he didn't know her. He had no right to judge her. She was a one night fling for some big coin that ended up with a baby in the end.
A baby her father and mother never wanted. The sad thing was, was that (y/n) knew her mother would have taken care of her much better then her father if it wasn't the fact that her mother had gotten murdered not even one year after her birth. That's when she fell into the hands of her wicked father who only thought about cheap labor and profit.
A lazy man he was.
“(y/n), come here,” Geralt called out to her softly motioning with his hands gaining her attention. Her soft (e/c) eyes looked up into his yellow cat like eyes with a sad look surrounding her pupil.
She didn't want him to constantly see her as weak, she felt like she troubled him more than anything then.
She slowly stood up walking past Jaskier who was well asleep by now. That's what Geralt was being soft and loving with her. He never showed weakness like this infront of anyone, not even Jaskier.
“I ah,” she sat down stumbling on her words all while falling into his arms with a frown on her face. “I had a long day battling my past.” she caved in giving him exactly what he wanted to know. Now he could heal her and show her her worth because the past never mattered when the future was ahead of them.
“We all have those days I assume,” Geralt gently kissed her forehead listening to the crickets chirp and the wolves howl.
She listened to his heartbeat as it slowed down her train of thought stopping all those memories from resurfacing.
“Could life have been so much different if you hadn't saved me from that farm?” she whispered holding back the strain in her voice that let him know she was breaking slowly still.
“It wouldn't have been different because we were destined to meet and I know it.” he whispered looking down at her face which he now had cupped in his large hands.
“You and your destiny, I'm surprised you got along just that once.” she smiled letting the past finally slip from her mind leaving her caged self out.
“Hmph,” he smiled down at her leaning forward giving her a passionate kiss on the lips. “Destiny, whatever.”
It was destiny that brought the two together. He had a draw to that farm when he first saw it in the distance, there was no going around that. And when he saw (y/n) working on the farm that day he instantly knew she was in danger and needed aved.
The same could have been said about (y/n). When she made eye contact with the rather large ashen haired male, she felt like a weight was being lifted off of her. Like she just met the knight she always dreamed of having.
“Destiny brought us together you know?”
He knew, and he loved her so he didn't fight destiny on that one. As long as he had his (y/n) beside him at all times he would be as good as good can be.
And she knew as long as she had that white haired witcher beside her, her past would be in the past. Her future would be her main thing. And she would soon realise she could always look to a girl to fight off those storm clouds that always seemed to form in the far corners of her mind just like he simply did tonight.
“You need a haircut, love,” Geralt said, making the young woman remove her face from the crook of his neck and smile.
“That's what you have to say after my comment. Geralt Of Rivia, you are very mean!” she smiled, slapping his chest causing him to let out a deep rumble. “You need to get a haircut more than I do you Donkey’s ass!”

Geralt X Reader-The Great Escape
Tumblr media
“Dandelion,” (y/n) hissed into the summertime wind, as it whipped past her face leaving heat all over her cheeks and forehead. “We must leave as soon as possible. We can’t keep being treated like shit, he blames us for everything.”
Dandelion wanted to stay with the Witcher, just like (y/n), but the risk of being blamed and mistreated was high once again. It was as if they went through a good patch where all went swell then a rough patch appeared out of nowhere.
“Let’s hurry,” he whispered, grabbing his lute. She grabbed her belongings which were just a sack and two swords that she crafted a long time ago.
The two looked back quickly looking at the moments that they had faced with the objects that lie around the camp. The memories surfaced but mainly the fun times they did have during their travels with the white wolf.
On multiple occasions (y/n) wanted to drop her stuff and start a fire, so they could all sit around together. That just wasn’t the case in the moment the white wolf had just taken his anger out on the two, leaving them with wounds freshly cut into their mind.
(Y/n) shook her head, this was a waste of their time. Sitting here and trying to remember the memories, to persuade them to stay.
She tugged on dandelion’s hands, it was the moment  that set them in motion.
“Two a new life,” she fake cheered. “This is for the best.”
“For the best.” He said walking off with her through the forest for the rest of the night until they could make it to a safe place to stay.
By now her feet ached, it aches from the walk they did all day, ached from the walking they did for the whole month.
She cursed Geralt for the little breaks they got, they were hardly enough to give them time to relax. Now as they escaped their feet were the soar way they had ever been.
“Should have snatched Roach and made him suffer.” She mumbled looking at the bard.
“That would have been a great idea.” He grumbled a little bit more about his feet. His eyes quickly jolted up to the lights off in the distance. “Lights! (Y/n) lights!”
His jumping around caught the woman’s attention making her get a jolt of excitement in her heart. She so badly wanted a place to relax and kick back.
“Oh my gosh, I’m so happy I could sing!” Jaskier jumped around picking up his pace into a fast walk with (y/n) following close behind.
“I want to get a bath, relax my feet, listen to your songs.” She mumbled with dandelion nodding his head. “Sleep, oh my gods! Sleep!”
She shook the man and rushed off hoping this location that was bright and welcoming was an inn where they could drink and rest.
“Sleep!” Dandelion screeched out of excitement.
Their feet carried them farther. Their limbs ignoring the pain and traveling faster than they had this whole month. A smell hit this nose that instantly made the two slobber and think about the food that was being served.
It had to be much better than the food Geralt fed them on a regular basis.
They pushed the doors open and rushed in grabbing a seat and glancing at the waiters hopefully. They really didn’t think twice about running into the building, who knows it could have been just a little old house with an old couple making a late dinner and they could have come in without the okay.
But luck was on their side tonight, it was an inn with a bar to feed people and drink having merry times.
“Can we have a room please!” (Y/n) placed a coin on the counter and looked hopeful at the bartender and inn keeper. “And possibly some drinks to quench our thirst.”
“Maybe some food as well,” jaskier asked as he looked at the woman who was in charge.
“Well it seems like you could use it!” The woman chuckled heartily placing a key on the counter and collecting their coins that they happily gave up for room and food.
“Bless your soul!” (Y/n) smiled over joyed by the very nice inn keeper.
“What can I get you to drink and eat?” The woman asked, smiling, hiding the fact that they didn’t have enough, but being kind was her forte.
“Ale for us!” Jaskier said as he slumped on the bar relaxing.
“And maybe the best seller for food!” (Y/n) followed the action of her friend.
“You got it!” The woman winked at Jaskier who was to put out to care and got things ready for them.
“This was the best idea you ever decided to do,” Jaskier melted in the comfort of sitting on his ass.
“One hundred percent.” (Y/n) said looking around at all the lasses and lads dancing to the music. “Best damn thing.”
“Geralt is probably still out hunting,” Jaskier laughed as he thought about his white haired friend. “Hunting for us.” There was a sad tone in his voice as he whispered the last part.
“Out in the dark, without a fire to take him back to the camp we started,” (y/n) mumbled feeling bad. “But we have to stay positive.”
“No more mental abuse.” Jaskier said as he nodded his head.
“For the better,” the lady handed them their ales as the two quickly clacked their drinks together.
“For the better.” They topped their head back and drank the ale till it was almost gone.
“There you two go,” the woman said as she slid the food on the bar counter and walked off to wait for another person.
“Smells good,” (y/n) mumbled. As she picked up a fork and dug into the food. It looked like a roast and some porridge to fill their bellies.
“Tastes great!” Jaskier moaned as he scooped up another mouthful. “Like what my mother used to make.”
“I think that’s because we haven’t had a good cooked meal in a really long time.” (Y/n) said digging in.
“You know what I just realized?” Jaskier put his finger in the air and shook it in front of  a Hungary (y/n).
“I’m sure you're going to tell me,” (y/n) said scooping up another mouthful.
“Never having to see that snobbish yennefer!” Jaskier shouted, making (y/n) snort.
“You really hated her didn’t you?” (Y/n) rolled her eyes and giggled. “You two never got along.”
“Because she was so mean to Geralt and Geralt never saw that!” Jaskier snorted and dropped his spoon with a clank and went onto a rant. “I mean he should see you!” The man whipped his arms up into the air. “A woman who knows how to care for our injuries, loving, tells stories, has fun! Not someone who has a journey and intercourse with a man they just met that day.”
She paused and looked at her best friend. She never thought about things like this. She knew she never had a chance against Yennefer, so why hate her for it? There was no shame in knowing when something wasn’t ever going to happen. It just wasn't going to happen. She shot down her crush on Geralt as fast as she met him. He was just way out of her league. Yeah she still really liked him and had fantasies about a relationship with him, but that’s all she would ever get from him. He was meant to be with yennefer and that was the way the world turned.
“Jaskier, I never had a chance.” (Y/n) smiled softly at her friend. “But thank you for the upbringing, it gives me potential.”
“Don’t say that!” He told her picking up his spoon no longer having a need to fling his hands around. “Geralt was blind and missing a lot!”
“Sure,” she said pushing her plate away and finishing the last drops of her ale. “Just like he liked having it around.” She said with a sarcastic undertone. “He yelled at us almost everyday!”
She looked at the male as he finished up the last little bits of his food and tossed some clouds in the table as a tip.
“I don’t think they have a bath here.” Jaskier said, dropping the topic.
“I don’t think so either,” (y/n) scrunched her nose and shook her head with a smile gracing her lips. “Well off to bed, early start in the morning.” She paused and thought for a second. “Actually, Let’s Sleep in, there is no way he’s looking for us, probably celebrating that we are gone.”
“You could say that again.” Jaskier muttered smiling and liking the idea of sleeping in.
____________________________________________
Geralt knew when he got back to the camp things were completely wrong when he didn’t hear the obnoxious bard and (y/n) singing with a fire lit. He left for an hour just to get some food for them to eat and come back with an empty camp.
“For heaven's sake!” He shouted, sounding angrier than he really was. He was more panicked than anything especially for the woman he watched over closely. She was his light in this dark world and she was sadly a package deal with that annoying bard.
You couldn’t have one without the other.
“(Y/n)!” He cupped his hands to his mouth to get the sound farther. “Jaskier! Where are you!”
He grumbled when he didn’t hear their voices call out to him in the dark forest.
“What a pain,” the man said as he hopped onto the back of Roach who still had the gear in her back untouched. The poor thing sat there like this tied to a tree for a really long time. “Let’s Go Roach.” They took off in the direction he knew had a tavern not too far. And if the chances of them went this way he knew they would have stopped in a heartbeat because all they had been doing that day was complaining about their feet and how much they hurt.
The travel by horse wasn’t as long as walking would have been. But it was long enough to get the white haired man to think hard about the idea of losing the woman he was rather fond of.
He liked the way her hair blew in the wind making it tangled and knotted, but the next minute she was brushing it out with her fingers gracefully. Or the way her (e/c)’s twinkled in the sun making it hard to not look away from. Or her voice when she sang along with the annoying bards lute. He liked the way she would gape at the stars and count them while pointing out any constellation.
He was love sick, and it was beyond bad.
Don’t think of him as careless; he cared about the two of them a lot. They found a way to weasel into his heart no matter how much they made him worry.
“A Late comer,” the Woman smiled and waved the man in. By now at the bar there were a few drinks that drank all night and a few parties who caught up with one and another. It wasn’t as full as he figured it had been earlier which was a good thing.
“What can I get you?” The woman asked as she got ready to take and order.
“Actually, have you seen a man with a lute, brown hair and grey eyes, women would say charming, I say annoying?” Geralt asked the woman standing close to the bar but not close enough to touch it or lean on it.
“Sounds like I might,” she said smiling. “Would he by chance be traveling with a woman, guessing his wife, woth (h/c), a real beauty.” The woman said looking at the white haired male who seemed to huff when she said wife.
“Yes,” he said, trying not to get angry at the assumption that really did boil over in his chest.
“Then you're in luck they have a room on the second floor to the left.” The innkeeper smiled and waved the tall Witcher off in that direction.
“Married,” the Witcher huffed mumbling under his breath. “My ass.” The wooden stairs creaked as he walked up damn things. It was annoying in his mind, just like this trip finding them had been. He took a left and found the only door located there. He twisted the knob and walked in finding exactly who he wanted to. He huffed when he saw the two sharing the same bed, the same covers, the same room. Jaskier didn’t have any right to be in that bed sharing it with her. That was for him and only him to do.
Even if they weren’t in a relationship and he watched her from the sidelines, she was his weakness. He quietly walked over to her and brushed his hands across her face pushing her soft hair behind her ear. Her soft sleeping face was hard to see for any regular person but for the Witcher it was easy. He had found the slobber that dripped past her lips adorable and the way she lightly snorted breathtaking.
She was his weakness, and the man beside her was the thing that made him jealous.
Oh so jealous.
He ripped the curtains open and waited for the sun to rise making them rise as well.
“Pain in my ass.”
____________________________________________
(Y/n) tossed and turned in the bed. The sun was shining in her face and she fully knew she shut the thin sheets in front of the window.
“Jaskier,” she groaned and turned around to face his side of the bed. “Did you open the curtains, you bloody fool.”
“No,” he mumbled into the pillow sleeping longer.
“Ugh!” (Y/n) grabbed the pillow and placed it over her face blocking the sun from shining in her eyes. “You bloody cool you did.”
Jaskier lifted his head opening his eyes tossing the pillow at her
“Did not!” He shouted. He quickly stopped making the woman wonder what had caused him to stop hitting her out of frustration.
“Geralt got your tongue, don’t make me laugh.” (Y/n) said as she turned on her side. “That bloody Witcher wouldn’t be here.”
“Think about that,” Jaskier said as he looked at the glaring white haired man, trying to avoid the yellow eyes that burned into his skull more like soul in his case. “Because it’s Geralt!”
“Funny,” (y/n) snorted into the white fluffy pillow. She paused and earned a soft huff making her shoot up tossing the pillow off her face and look at a very grumpy looking Geralt. “By the gods!” She groaned and wiped a hand down her face. “How? What? When?”
“Good question.” Jaskier moaned and tried to hide behind a pillow he cradled tightly against his chest. “I thought you said we would be out of his sight that he wouldn’t come looking for us.”
“Yeah well I thought we were good!” She shouted smacking the man with a pillow.
“You two have a lot of explaining.” Geralt mumbled with his gruff voice reverberating off the walls. “Like why did you leave Roach with all that heavy gear on her back?”
No one said a word. Minutes of Jaskier and (y/n) looking at each other took up most of the time.
“What cat got your tongue?” Geralt asked with a sharp tone in his voice. “Maybe an easier question, why did you run away to a tavern that was very close for me to find? I had to waste my night coming here to find you two instead of taking care of a simple monster that has been plaguing a town. Now another person can be hurt because of your foolish decisions.”
“Oh for god's sake!” (Y/n) cried out finding a new strength to speak up and act out. “That’s All you do is bitch you know.” She huffed and frowned, wiping the tired from her eyes. “We do something wrong all the time, one little mistake and it’s the end of the world for you.” She groaned and stood up stretching nice and tall. “Geralt, have you ever thought we ran away for a reason, that reason being you and how mean you can be to us.”
“Hmph,” the man glared at her shaking his head. She couldn’t decide whether he was upset with himself or truly just at her and her big mouth.
“(Y/n) I think you’re making matters worse,” jaskier drug the last word out clutching tighter to the pillow then he was before. “Maybe It’s just a dream?”
“It’s not a dream,” (y/n) grumbled as she gave her own glare to the white haired male. “If you're so burdened by finding us you didn’t ever have to come get us. No but it was just another reason to blame us!” (Y/n) stood up off the bed fixing her dress and patting the dust off. “If I would have known better you just like to make other people’s lives miserable because you want people to feel the way you do!”
“That was harsh,” jaskier mumbled as he hid further behind the pillow watching Geralt’s yellow eyes shine with anger and his jaw clench. “Maybe it would just be better if we forgave and dealt with him.”
“No, I’m tired of seeing you get mistreated,” (y/n) shot a sharp look to the bard making him hush up. “I don’t care what happens to me but—”
“I care what happens to you!” Geralt shouted, making (y/n) stop and glance over at the angry Witcher to whom was standing tall and glaring down at her. “You matter to me, because I, I Ah—”
“You, what? Love me?” She scoffed looking up at the Witcher. “Don’t make me look like a fool, you love yennefer, not me.” Her heart strings tugged a little bit making her heart hurt even more. “Don’t play me for a fool.”
“I am not!” Geralt slammed his hands down.
“I leave this for you two to figure out while I sit outside!” Jaskier ran out of the room so he wouldn’t have to witness anything.
“You are too,” (y/n) laughed her ass off from his failed attempts to make her believe she was loved by him. “If anything I’m a pawn in yours and yennefer's game of chess.” She ran a hand through her hair pushing it out of her face before that frustrated her. “You don’t love me, or anybody, you can’t love.”
Her words echoed throughout the room, silence reached her ears knowing she hit a chord. One she believed she would soon regret.
“I said I love you, I wouldn’t have searched all night for you if I didn’t love you.” Geralt bit his tongue before he really blew up.
“Geralt,” she froze looking at the white wolf in front of her. “You're being a hundred percent serious. This is nothing but the truth.” She second guessed.
“Yes I’m being serious.” He grumbled out not liking the fact that he showed weakness by confessing to her.
“I would beat you with an inch of your life if I could!” She lurched forward wrapping her arms around his neck. She leaned forward on her tiptoes giving him a chaste kiss.
“Hmph,” she rolled her eyes leaning away from the Witcher glancing into his eyes which gave her the idea he wasn’t satisfied.
“What, not good enough for you?” She asked, smiling knowing he was happy.
“Perfectly fine,” he grumbled, pulling her outside of the room to find jaskier. “Just don’t pull anything like last night again.”
“Why? Don’t want adventure in your life?” She smiled looking at Geralt.
“Traveling with you two is adventure enough,” he huffed smiling ever so slightly.
Truly you couldn’t have one without the other two or it wouldn’t ever be the same.

Thranduil X Sorceress Reader-My Little Frantic Mage
Tumblr media
“Gandalf you old fool,” (y/n) muttered as she conjured a flame in her hand to light up the woods the two where traveling in. “You led us into Mirkwood.”
The trees and foliage lit up around the two as (y/n) pushed a strand of (h/c) away from her face. Her eyes glared at the surrounding forest and then at the old wizard who taught her alot in her starting years as a sorceress.
“My bad, seems like it was fate, wouldn’t you say?” he glanced down at his company with the pipe in his mouth and smoke circles flying about.
“Fate, sure,” she snorted and moved forward pushing the red, orange, and yellow covered branches out of her face. “I think this was more or less your plan, not how we wound up.”
“Don't be so sour!” Gandalf let out a hearty chuckle. “The elves will find us in no time.”
“That's the problem!” (y/n) huffed pushing more branches out of the way.
She suddenly stopped and listened to her surroundings. She could hear the occasional crunches of leaves and twigs on the forest floor. She knew someone was hot on their trail as it was now. And in due time they would find the two magic users.
(y/n) had spent the majority of her time alive with the grey wizard. It wasn't unusual to see the two together, but that was only because he was so close to her grandfather which made him family. When her family died off from old age because of the lack of Immortality, because they were normal humans, it left her with the man she often saw growing up. Now she spent that time going to birthday parties to do cheap tricks to entertain youngins around middle earth.
Not at all what she signed up for when she asked for more experience. Occasionally if she was lucky she got to go on an adventure, for example the trip to reclaim the dwarves homelands. But sadly that ended with loss even leaving a scar on memories of the good times.
“Back already,” Legolas chuckled as he aimed the arrow right between (y/n)’s eyes. Oh how she wanted to wipe that smug look off his face.
By now he had returned after the fellowship of the rings journey was over. One (y/n) also got to sit in and travel with. They faced loss on the road, one being Gandalf who was no longer considered the Grey. But Gandalf the White, with whom she travels with.
No matter what though she will always refer to the man as Gandalf the Grey for that was who she knew the best.
“Yeah Legolas, we’re back.” she growled looking at the blonde prince with daggers. “Just take us to King Thranduil, maybe then Gandalf will decide what his plan is.”
“You say that as if I don’t have a plan.” Gandalf smiled and bowed down to the prince.
“She says that as an insult as well, Gandalf the white.” Legolas smiled leading his army along with the magic users to the kingdom.
“Well, that as well. But by now I'm used to her harsh words that she often throws around.” The wizard smiled looking down at the young looking female who so badly wanted to use her magic to shut his mouth and stop his teasing.
She rolled her eyes watching the forest go by as the stars shined brightly above them. It wasn't often they traveled this late at night, but today was different for a reason. That reason was unknown to the girl, she didn't really know. She did know that Gandalf was very persistent in continuing though, like he had something planned up his sleeve and it was waiting to jump out and scare her.
“Look at who continues to wander into my domain at all times of the day and night,” Thranduil's voice boomed, making (y/n) jump, startled. Now she was confused as to when they got into the kingdom, she could have sworn they were still outside in the forest. “You two must not know how to stay away.”
“How could they, they visit all the time!” Legolas said before leaving with his army of men who escorted them into the kingdoms domain.
“(y/n) tends to like the fall season that happens to look best on your lands, marking its natural beauty.” Gandalf said as he bowed down to the king, hitting (y/n) in the shin with his staff. She cried out and bent down quickly. Her eyes quickly glanced at the Wizard, and if looks could kill Gandalf sure as hell would have been dead by now. “Her internal compass must always be guiding her to your domain.”
“Oh please, my internal compass.” (y/n) stood up quickly turning to the wizard looking at him in disbelief. “You're the one who led me this way, don’t lie. I knew you were getting senile in your age.”
“You think old age is getting to me?” Gandalf gasped as he looked at the young mage. He let out once again another hearty laugh and smiled at the female. “I am as young as a jack rabbit.”
“Sure, that's why you got us once again stuck in Mirkwood,” she shot back snorting at his claims.
The king watched with amusement in his eyes at the two magic users. It was often he got to see this, because it was often Gandalf lead her back here and she didn’t even realise it until she made it into the forest.
“No such thing happened, you teleported us here.” Gandalf lied.
“Don’t lie, that's not possible.” (y/n) pushed her hair out of her face getting serious. “Are we even on a quest to go meet up with Lady Galadriel.”
“No that was a lie,” Gandalf said straight out of the gates, not holding back.
“Gandalf!” (y/n) looked offended. “That's it I am leaving you here. Enjoy your time being stuck in the infirmary for losing your mind to old age. Sorry King Thuranduil he is your problem now.” (y/n) bowed as she started for the large doors past the guards.
“Goodbye lady (y/n),” Thranduil purred out knowing fully well she would be back.
Her feet echoed down the hallway only to echo back into the throne room as she teleported back. She stopped and stood still for a second glancing at the room for a second.
“Sorry, goodbye for sure this time.” she said slowly backing up and reaching for the door where she rushed out when she touched the handle. Not even a few seconds she reappeared beside Gandalf. Heels clicking, feet stumbling.
“Now I am starting to think Gandalf isn't the liar.” Thranduil smirked knowing the usual shenanigans of the two. “Maybe It's an attraction to someone here?”
Now he was picking on the poor mage.
Her feet rushed out down the hall once again only to appear back into the room. She stopped slowly turning to the wizard with a sour look on her face.
“What did you cast on me?” she asked knowing fully well it was the wizard beside her.
“I did not cast a single thing.” Gandalf said, acting all innocent. “Maybe it's just your natural attraction to something in this room.”
“Gandalf, you better behave,” she warned, turning her back to the wizard and sticking her nose into the air. “I need to meet with lady Galadriel.”
“Do not,” Gandalf shot back. “Spend time with your betrothed.”
“Now, now, no wars in my domain.” Thranduil smiled leaning forward on his throne.
“Betrothed?” (y/n) turned around quickly, her eyes widened by the accusation. “Who would that be?”
“Well I can tell you it's not Legolas,” Gandalf said, winking at the King.
“Gandalf,” she warned. Her next words were whispered. “I told you that in private.”
“I am only helping you out my dear,” he whispered back leaning forward.
By now the king was slowly making his descent down the throne onto the lower area they stood at conversing quietly.
“You two must know it is rude to keep secrets in front of a king.” Thranduil accused them of hiding something.
“I will be right with you, Your outfit looks rather lovely.” she paused and whispered something to Gandalf with a stern look on her face. “My associate has made a mistake, he apologizes.” she bowed down on his behalf.
“Does not,” Gandalf muttered, crossing his arms. “What my associate is trying to say is she is rather infatuated with your looks, my king. She has fantasies, you know.”
(y/n) coughed on air as he said the word ‘fantasies’.
“Fantasies?” she cried out fearful. “What fantasies?”
“I don’t know, only you do.” Gandalf said as he held his staff which was glowing. Something the young mage did not notice.
“Fantasies are unfit for a young woman like you,” Thranduil teased her. “A pure soul would not imagine what could be obtained in real life.”
“Don’t pick up on his ways, King Thranduil.” The girl sputtered afraid and embarrassed.
“It's rather cute though,” He said, leaning close to her face making her stutter.
“Oh look at the time, Lady Galadriel is waiting on us,” Gandalf said as he lifted his staff muttering some words.
“What!” (y/n) yelled, startled at the fact that the wizard was about ready to disappear on her. “I thought you said that was a lie?”
“I lied again, enjoy.” Gandalf said tapping the staff against the floor disappearing leaving the king and the mage alone in the throne room.
She stood still looking fearful and embarrassed at the advancing king who waved the guards out of the room.
“No need to be afraid, my little mage.” Thranduil said cupping her chin into his hand. “I like you as well, there's no hiding that my little trouble maker.”
“I ah,” she stuttered, leaning into his touch unknowingly. She leaned forward, quickly smashing her lips against Thranduil's lips. She was in such a trance she couldn't control what she was doing at all. Until she woke up from that said trance pulling away with a gasp and breathy words. “I, ah, need to hurry and get to Lady Galadriel, but by foot I would miss it all.” she rushed around the room picking up her things and placing them on the ground to make a teleportation spell. “Well, er, I should take care of things here.” she whispered muttering to herself, making the king breakout in a contagious smile. “Yeah here!”
She quickly rushed over to the king once again who wrapped his arm around her back holding her closer, leaning down giving her the most passionate kiss. She breathed giving him smaller passionate kisses one after another before she really decided she should go.
She patted his chest and pulled away before stumbling once again on her words.
“I, er, yeah,” she said, backing away and standing still for a moment. “Yeah, I’ll be back Thranduil. Sit still.”
“Yes My love,” he smiled down at her lovingly.
She mumbled out the spell words casting the spell for it only to fail.
“Oh shoot,” she mumbled, wiping her lips that were a bit puffy from the kiss. She picked up her sack and picked up the magical items rushing to the door. “Forgot it has to be casted outside. Bye, I love you, I'll be back! This isn't finished, got that!” she stumbled out the door dropping a few things here and there in her frantic pursuit to get to the meeting Gandalf once again lied to her about.
“My little frantic mage, don’t let the old wizard fool you,” Thranduil smiled at (y/n) rushing form as it grew smaller in the distance. “There is no meeting, he lied to you again.”

Hi! I hope you enjoyed this one-shot! I always enjoy writing for Middle Earth, something about it is fun. I may try to write for Skyrim because of the similarities in the world itself, that would be something fun to try! Along with that even the Witcher, I do have a few Geralt X Reader’s in the process! This will also be posted on my Wattpad (LightTheNight23) where I have a few Middle Earth one-shots I haven’t posted on here! So if you like this one you can check out my other ones as well! Thanks and have a great day or night!
Also, a lot of these aren’t requests and the only reason I have my request box still closed is I’m trying to catch up and upload a lot of the ones I have finished and haven’t uploaded along with just trying to get myself back in the swing of a routine. (I never really had one, and was rather hectic) I don’t think it will be a strict routine but I have been working on a large chapter x reader and it’s had a lot of my attention. I’m super excited to finish and then upload two chapters every week (or however I decide to do it) but it’s almost done I just have 10 not chapters or so to do!

Shinsou X Reader- Hero’s Mistake (part 2)
Tumblr media
Hitoshi Shinsou X Reader
Word Count: 3532
Warnings: I don’t believe any, might still have some sad parts
_____________________________________________
Her wails echoed all throughout the house as she cried on the floor curled up. Yamada and Aizawa stopped watching TV. as they watched the upset boy leave the house and (y/n) wailing in her bedroom like she had just lost everything.
But that was her everything, and she was his everything.
Aizawa climbed the stairs quickly and pushed the door open to see her on the floor clinging to the ground as she hid her face in her arms. Being a parent wasn’t easy, but he already knew that. Watching his kid suffer from heartbreak turns his insides every which way. When Yamada watched the whole thing, he suffered as well as her uncle. Knowing that there was no way he could make her attitude change with a joke, she was too heartbroken.
Heart break seemed like the last thing that could kill anybody, but it was possible.
Stress-induced cardiomyopathy, was what she would face if she didn’t get calmed down soon, it was the big fancy word for broken heart syndrome. So many people have faced it just as she had, but they didn’t have a loving father and uncle like she did. They quickly wrapped her up in their arms and clung to her whispering to her how boys and relationships weren't all that. They tried every attempt to make her laugh, to see and hear that beautiful smile and laugh grace her lips, but nothing seemed to happen. She was completely and utterly broken.
“Why?” she whispered into her father's chest
The two men paused and looked at each other, they were just glad she said something after two hours of sitting and staring off into the zone.
“Why what?” Aizawa asked confused as to what she wanted to know.
“Why,” she paused and let out a shaky breath. “Why did he have to do that to me? Why did he shove those thoughts into his mind and these words down my throat.”
Aizawa looked to Yamada for help, he was the English teacher he had to have read something on that or talked about love on his talk show. He knew more about women and men when relationships happened than Aizawa for the fact of how often he brought home his dates to family dinners.
“Because Jealousy is a destructive thing once it plagues you.” Yamada’s words came from the heart, like he had faced it once before. “And it seemed to hit him on many things. Possibly bring the fact that you were in 1-A without him, making friends that seem to really care about you and take up all your time, leaving him with less.”
“You two did only have each other, you never made friends other than each other for the past sixteen years.” Aizawa said as he looked at his daughter who seemed to be feeling a tiny bit better. Even if it wasn’t much, it was enough to make him feel better about the next few weeks. It showed that at least she could heal. But it would be a tough few weeks, they weren’t out of the red zone yet.
That night for the rest of the night they slept there on the floor, leaving them sore for the next day and tired. (y/n) just gained two classes of just watching videos for a whole period, she wasn’t complaining.
It took her two nights to finally be brave enough to leave a message on his phone.
“Hey Shinsou, I-I, oh this is so hard.” her words seemed to be having a hard time forming in her head. “I’m calling to apologize for even making you feel this way. I love you and I always will love you, I just wish I could have realized how I was making you feel rather than rub it in your face as I looked for any signs of you being proud of me and as reward, gaining your attention and affection. Now I made you suffer.” Her voice grew weak as she began to cry and that was obvious. “I’m dropping out of U.A. I think, without you I have no meaning in life. I have yet to run it across dad, but you know him he wouldn’t ever let either of us drop out.” Silence broke over the phone for a second as she whispered quietly on the next beat. “This time I hope he does, just so I can go back and be a waste of time and a mess up. Probably why my birth parents got rid of me.”
Then came the next night's phone call.
“Shinsou, just so you know, these aren’t to reel you back in. These are just from the heart, what I should have told you day in and day out before I lost you. But I messed up like usual.” Silence for a beat and then her words were back. “I'm such a failure, I couldn’t even keep the person I love the most, other than my dad and uncle. I wish I could jump into your arms and breath in your intoxicating scent that puts me to sleep every night when I am over excited. Now I just don’t sleep and it shows. Tell your mom and dad I said hi and that I’m so sorry I ruined everything.”
The next night came around and this time it was smaller and cut off.
“I understand you moved on, it seems I'm still stuck though. I hope she treats you right and treats you like a king, because that's what you deserve. Hopefully she gives you kisses every second of the day, hopefully she worships the ground you walk on with each step you take.” Mumbling could be heard in the background, but it was more of shouting that was coming from her father who needed help with something. “I-um, sorry this has to be short Shinsou, I wish you the best.”
The calls stopped for two nights, (y/n) figured that was enough and she had to prepare for the sports festival since her father denied her any access to dropping out of U.A. like she had not hoped for.
Hitoshi on the other hand had listened to the voice calls on repeat. Realizing how much she never meant to hurt him and it was really him who misread everything and hurt her. His heart shattered every night as he cried along to the sad audios. When this went down his parents could only support him even if they didn’t agree with what he did. They had noticed that he came in and out of his room less and just stayed hauled in there, but they couldn’t change this for him. It has to be the two teenagers that changed this.
When Hitoshi received the last voicemail, which just happened to appear when he went downstairs to get a snack and when he curled back up on (y/n)’s light pale yellow bed as he hugged her stuffed animal close, his phone screen lit up. He swiped against the screen and pulled up the voicemail. He pressed play and listened with intent and hope that it would make him realize how much of a fool he was, but if he wished that then he already achieved it. It was just getting the final straw to make a move, to force him to play his last chest piece.
And this voicemail was a big ol’ checkmate.
“Hitoshi Shinsou, this will be my last call since it seems you have moved on. I wish I could as well, but fate has other plans for me. So I think it is time to explain some things, maybe clear things up before I decide to run away and never do this.” She paused and he could hear her rustle something in the background. “Please, please, please, don’t ever think this was your fault. I broke the promises I made you without ever noticing. But when I promised those things, I meant it. I don’t care how old we were, but, damn it.” He could hear her voice crack and her sniffle as she tried to hold in any snot from running down her soaked cheek. “Sorry, back to my p-point. When I made that promise to be your sidekick, I meant it. When I was seven years old and promised to marry you, I meant it. When I was ten and I promised to be your best friend, I meant it. T-they weren’t just things I told you to hook you in and use you for, they were my real emotions and the way I wanted to live my life. My friends in 1-A are nothing compared to you, my life in 1-A is shit without you. Dad didn’t let me drop, which I figured would happen, but without you it has been entirely shit and to hell with it.” She was sobbing now, but her voice was confident. “When I am gone and in a new country, tell dad, he did everything he could to make me happy, but my heart just couldn’t stand to see Musutafu dark and gloomy anymore. Tell him he was and always will be the best dad I could have ever been placed with. Tell him day in and day out that he shouldn’t give up on being a parent because I was a failure, and that was only me. Tell him he is perfect and the best dad the next child could ever be blessed with. And tell him not to cry, no matter how dark and gloomy the world is. Make him smile when the days are bright, teach him how to feel again, like how I could never do.” She paused once again but this time it was a long time until she calmed down and began again. “Tell Uncle Yamada, that his jokes worked and his hugs made me smile, but it was only for a short while, but it wasn’t his fault it couldn’t be helped. Tell him to keep singing and being the loud mouth he is even if I can’t be around. Tell him to move on and make dad and his life simpler, and tell him to settle down with that girl he had over last week, they were perfect for each other. Tell your parents, I love them and the times we all spent together celebrating our birthdays and staying up late joking around and playing cards, but all good things must come to an end and some of us have to move on whether that be out of their lives and in a new country or any other way. Tell them they raised a hell of a good son, but I was the thing that broke him. Tell them I am sorry, that I broke you. And lastly tell yourself, that in my eyes you are my sun and the thing that makes my heart beat. You give me life and everything I could ever ask for. The time I spent with you has sadly expired, but it will be in my heart as I move away. The next people I meet will never be as good as you. They will be minor where you were major. My heart will always belong to you, nobody else could leave such a mark like you did. I love you with all my heart and I am so sorry I was such a terrible friend to you this past month. I would take anything to be able to touch your skin one last time to savor the warmth it gave me, but as they say if you love them then let them go. Sadly I must let you go, but promise me like old times, you'll tell each and everyone of them day in and day out that I love them and there was nothing that could stop me from running away.'' There was a pause that seemed to last an eternity as Hitoshi wiped his eyes from the heart felt moment as he sobbed harder. “I love you my hero, but I only seemed to be an earthquake that took everything away from you. And with this I say my last goodbye. Goodbye Hitoshi Shinsou.”
He paused and took a shaky breath. He knew what he had to do, he had to stop her before the two of them regretted this whole thing and couldn’t ever go back from the mistakes they made.
“Mom! Dad!” He shouted as he rushed down the steps into the living room as he watched two two sitting on the couch watching the TV closely. They had noticed who the dead house felt, they two felt it tug at their heart stings. “You have to listen to this and then call Mr. Aizawa immediately.”
They heard the urgency in the matter and quickly listened as he played the last voicemail. Tears formed in their eyes as they listened to the heartfelt emotion from the girl who was running from the issue the two teenagers created.
“She probably has plane tickets already and is leaving tomorrow after the sports festival.” His mother said as she dialed Aizawa’s number.
“Mr. Aizawa, do you have a moment and are in private without your daughter.” his mother wiped the tears from her eyes and continued to wait on the phone to make sure it was okay to talk. “Okay, I'm sorry , let me catch my breath.”
They all took a moment to breathe and try to understand how their hearts felt.
“Your daughter left a voicemail on Hitoshi’s phone, it may seem that she is running away tomorrow after the sports festival.” she paused as Hitoshi assumed Mr. Aizawa was speaking. “It may be a plan to stop this before she makes a choice. She realized she hates we have to stall her before she leaves the festival and make sure our kids make up.”
_______________________________________________
(y/n) felt the nerves kick in when she saw that the festival was coming to a close. Her father and uncle were rather loving this morning, which was unusual for the one but not the other. They had tried to do things for her that were unnecessary and she was capable of doing on her own, but they insisted and got in her way. It was as if they knew, but that was impossible. It only went to Shinsou and she knew he didn’t care enough at the moment, and probably never again.
She closed her eyes , but quickly opened them. She had heard uncle Yamada call out the familiar name of her ex friend, she didn’t know he made it this far.
She watched as Shinsou went on the field to battle Midoriya, she had dropped out earlier since she had now will to win and gain an internship at the moment. She was about to leave as it was.
She watched how hard the two boys fought as Izuku was trapped in Shinsou’s brainwash and then out of it with a snap of his fingers. After that it was easy pickings and Shinsou was pushed out because his quirk wasn’t for that type of battle. She rushed out of the bleachers tripping on things, but she felt it was right to get one last moment to see her friend/love. She would feel what she thought was peace as she flew to England to start a new life knowing that she got to see him one last time.
She felt her heart beat pick up as she raised through the cemented hallways underneath the bleachers. She saw the light and a purple haired boy standing off to the side as if he was waiting for someone. She lived the way his violet hair would shine in the sun or when any light bounces off of it. It was soft to the touch and such a perfect mane of hair for him. It made Hitoshi, Hitoshi essentially. She froze and felt like this would be the worst moment, what if she was waiting for that one girl she talked about in the one voicemail. She shook her head and got rid of the weary thought.
“Okay, let's take a break!” She could hear her uncle’s loud mouth through the loudspeakers. She had to see her goodbye now earlier than what she wanted to do, but then it was off to freedom.
“Hero,” she said, gaining his attention. He pushed off of the wall and walked towards her. “I’m sorry I know you don’t want to talk to me or see me. you did really great out there, that fight was amazing!”
“Stop,” she paused and looked at the violet haired man who had her heart. She was afraid this was still the response she would receive.
“I’m sorry,” she mumbled and began to take a few steps back.
“No stop that,” he pulled her into a tight embrace. “We need to stop running from each other. Take your backpack off and stop running away.”
She quickly clung to him and sobbed into his shoulders. She was still broken, but a bit of it was healing as he held her tightly mending the two broken souls into what they once were.
“(Y/n)!” She could hear her uncle shout from far down the hall. She seemed to tense up.
“You told them,” she said looking up at the boy who seemed to be showing emotion at the moment.
“Of course I told them.” He was surprised by her claim as if she wished he would have given her the peace that she wouldn’t have this moment. “We all need to take the opportunity to change your mind. To make you stay because running away will only make you worse and make us your family suffer.”
She sucked in her breath and looked at her worried dad and uncle. They were clearly upset as much as Hitoshi was.
Aizawa grabbed the book bag and ripped it off her shoulders. He threw it off to the side and clung two of the two kids.
“To think you were going to go through with it. To leave me here all alone, left with one one to raise, other than Yamada , because we all know he’s never going to grow up.” She giggled and let the tears flow freely from her eyes. “You know as a parent it’s my job to make sure my sunshine stays shining, and I failed you. The fact that you were going to run away instead of talk to me showed me that I wasn’t the best father.”
“No you are the best,” (y/n) mumbled as more tears fell from her face. “I was the issue, I thought running away from my issues and Hitoshi would solve everything, but it didn’t.”
“It’s okay kid,” Yamada put his arm around the three of them as he felt the pain of this all as well as it had built up and stormed in them. The fear of not making it to her before she left is what got them all.
“I’m taking those plane tickets, I’m going on vacation.”
“Hey!” (Y/n) and Hitoshi grumbled clearly upset with Aizawa claiming he needed a vacation. “Only if you take us!”
Aizawa looked down at them surprised they were in unison with their words.
“God you two have been around each other for far too long.” He said smiling for once and hugging them tightly. “I’m taking your book bag and making you stay here to make sure you don’t leave.”
He broke free from the hug and looked at Yamada. It was about time to go back to their jobs and finish this so they could all go home and watch some movies and play some games like the old days.
“Go have fun and don’t run away!” Aizawa Said as he dragged Yamada back to their jobs. “I’ll see you two when we're done today.”
The two were left alone, figuring out what they wanted to do. They seemed to shuffle forward towards each other confused about what their next movement would be as if it was foreign to them.
(Y/n) held his hand out for him to take.
“Go back to watch the Festival?” She asked him as he slipped his hand into hers.
“Yeah, but first,” he kept her hand in his tightly and tugged her closer, slowing his hand to slip around her waist. He captured her lips on his own in a patient kiss that made the world stop spinning.
“Hero,” she whined into his lips as she chased after them once he pulled away.
“What?” He asked, smirking, knowing he got his best friend back.
“Kiss me again you idiot!” She giggled and jumped forward catching his lips once again. “I love you, my one and only hero!”
“I love you two my hyper active earthquake.” He smiled and kissed her forehead. “Let’s go take a nap and plan our future after.”
“Really?” She giggled and looked at the boy who made her whole world light up. “You're so silly Hitoshi.”
“Am I?”
“Yes, my sleepy boy.”

Shinsou X Reader- Hero’s Mistake (Part 1)
Tumblr media
Hitoshi Shinsou x Reader
Word Count: 4960
Warnings: hopefully angsty...
_______________________________________________
“Hitoshi, come on!” The tiny girl clung to the purple haired boy as he struggled to get up from the nap the two just took under the cherry blossom tree.
“Okay, okay.” He rubbed his eyes and pulled her up with him. “Let’s walk home.”
“Hitoshi, promise me something,” the girl held onto his hand as she looked up at the taller six year old. She had gained his attention when he stopped and faced her still holding her hand in a protective manner. “When we get older and become heroes, I'll be your sidekick and we can kick all of those villains' butts!”
“I promise, earthquake.” He said with a bright smile on his face making the young girl giddy.
“Good, Hero!” The two skipped home quickly before the sun set behind the ground that surrounded them.
(y/n) could remember when the whole promise of being a sidekick began. She kept the memory stored in a special place in her heart because she kept true to those words she spoke on that night. Hitoshi and (y/n) had been close to each other ever since they two first met each other, which was not long after their birth and adoption. Their parents made sure to keep the friendship going and when it took off without their help it blossomed into one out of a romance novel of two young friends, except they were still in the flashback where their parents snuck pictures of the kids as they stayed in a pure and innocent relationship. They stuck with each other like peanut butter and jelly, like two polar opposites but they worked so well together.
“Hero!” (y/n) leaped into the purple haired boy's arms. “We did it! You were so good out there, just like the hero I always imagined.”
“Stop being a silly earthquake.” His stoic face and monotone voice let a little emotion through as he smiled slightly. “You saved my arse more than I saved yours.”
“Don’t be silly, Hitoshi.” She smiled and slipped her hand into his hand as the two began their walk home. “You are still my number one hero, and always will be. I can’t wait to buy some of your merch when you're number one!”
He let out a soft laugh that seemed to be only heard between the two friends. Her bubbly attitude kept life in his body, most of the time he stayed up on long night phone calls with her but it did wear on him. But he wouldn’t ever give those up, he cherished them even if he doesn't act like he does.
“At least I have you as my number one fan,” he chuckled and walked home hand in hand. “If I was a villain would you still be my number one fan?”
“Of course I would, but we both know you don’t have the will to be a villain.” she said after phasing out from his quirk and letting him gain access to her brain only for him to quickly give it up.
“Hero,” she shoved him gently and giggled. “You always do that to me, I should know better.”
Their friendship continued to blossom even more, even if it didn’t seem like it could.
(y/n) sat down on the couch near her father who was flipping through a book.
“Dad?” She looked up to come in face with his really tired eyes and raven hair. “When do the results come back in.”
“I'm tired, leave me alone.” she took a double take at his face and glared at him. Shouta Aizawa, her adopted father and the one man who loved her a lot alongside Hitoshi, even if the two acted like they didn’t.
“Stop being a silly dad!” She pounced in him knowing he was hiding that smile he only shared with her.
“Okay, Okay.” he said and reached under the coffee table to the right of him and pulled out a plane white envelope that seemed to be bursting at the seams. she flipped it over and watched as her eyes began to flash with panic, then to excitement.
“Is this it?” she asked her dad. She waited for an answer but never got anything. “You're killin' me smalls.”
“Of course it’s it, dipshit!” he said with a slight smirk embedded on his face and a twinkle in his eyes.
“Oh my gosh, I have to call Hitoshi!” She jumped off the couch and rushed all over the house in search of her phone. She checked in every place she could have sworn she last placed it only to find all of them empty.
“It’s right here,” she heard her father say, still sitting on the couch as he gazed at the words on the page in his book he was reading. She rushed in and grabbed the phone from her hand and called Hitoshi. “Tell the whole family to come over for dinner, Uncle Yamada is making something good tonight.”
“You didn’t tell me Uncle Yamada was coming over!” she said excited but averted back to the phone call when she heard her best friend pick up. “Hero, hero, hero!”
“Yes, (y/n)?” he asked, trying to stop the chanting of his nickname.
“I hope you didn’t read your acceptance letter yet, because we have to do it together!” She squealed into the phone.
“Okay, good thing it was just handed to me,” he chuckled lightly. He could hear shuffling on the other side of the line. She assumed he was getting ready to come over which put her next question into play.
“Hey! Dad said uncle Yamada is making us supper tonight and he said that you and your parents can come over to celebrate with us with our results.” she said with the same bubbly attitude she always had. The boy chuckled and acknowledged the fact that he would have to deal with her loud uncle once again.
“Does Uncle Yamada really have to be there?” he asked laughing at the fact that he could already see the frown that was forming on her lips.
“Hitoshi, I don’t think you understand which one always cooks in this house.” she giggled while giving the boy a lecture. “It isn’t dad, because all the food would be burnt and ruined.”
“Okay, okay.” he said laughing into the phone letting loose of his normal stoic emotion. “I'll let my parents know.”
She squealed and thanked the boy over and over until he hung up, but she was too excited to care about that at the moment. He would hear about it later, she could assure that.
“Is that the happy squeals of my niece!” she turned around and smiled. She rushed to her uncle who was wearing normal clothes for once. His blond hair was down for once and it made him look like a totally different person from when he came home with her dad right after school.
“Uncle Yamada!” she clung to him as the two cheerful loudmouths began to celebrate while Shouta sulked in the corner away from the bright cheery moment.
Shouta totally raised his daughter differently, so he was confused as to why she was a literal ball of sunshine. The simple answer was Yamada. The man behind Shouta’s back had made her a bubbly person, how Shouta never found out the world would never know. It was probably just the fact that the man always slept.
“Dad’s in the living room being lazy like usual!” the two cheerfully skipped into the living room making Shouta flinch and cover his eyes.
“God!” she watched as he clawed at his own face making her wonder if he was all their or slowly losing it. “Why are you two like a ball of sunshine, it's blinding.”
“Dad, that's a good thing.” she smiled showing her teeth.
“You guys make me sick,” he said, mocking them.
“You're such a silly dad!” (y/n) giggled and waited patiently for Hitoshi.
Minutes seemed to drag on since she was so excited. She just wanted Hitoshi here so she could cuddle up against him and find out the results of what the two accomplished together. A knock on the door awakened her from her day dreaming. She shot up and rushed to the door to see Mr. and Mrs. Shinsou who seemed to be smiling and waiting for the results as well as the two teenagers where.
“Dinners ready!” Uncle Yamada said as he placed plates down all over the table.
“Oh my, Yamada.” Mrs. Shinsou stepped forward smelling the delicious smell floating all over the house. “It smells wonderful, Thank you Mr. Aizawa for the invitation.”
(y/n)’s father hummed in appreciation as they all surrounded the table. (y/n) dug in quickly in the hopes to open the letters quicker. “Hitoshi, hurry, big news, good news!”
“Slow done, you're going to choke,” just as he said that she did choke on the rice. Hitoshi reached over and patted her back as her father looked at her like she was the stupidest thing that graced this earth. She took a breather and let out a hearty giggle.
“Sorry!” She quickly said and this time took much slower bites and actually savored the food.
Quiet conversations could be heard from the adult side but (y/n) and Hitoshi were giggling about things they were going to do in the future. The two had mapped it out ever since they were little. They would force the dormitories to give them a room to share, then they would slowly rise to the top of their class as a dynamic duo. The rest they would plan when it got closer, but for now they had it pretty much figured out.
“Give me your plates,” Uncle Yamada reached in between the two love birds and grabbed their empty plates. “Go and check your results, after that I can give you two your surprises!”
(y/n) took that as the go ahead, she grabbed Hitoshi’s and rushed with him up to her room. She flipped on the lights and drug him to the bed where she opened the envelope as he did the same. She could feel her hands shaking, once she got it open she pulled out what wasn’t paper.
“A disc?” Hitoshi looked at (y/n) with the same surprise. He reached for the remote and turned on the TV. he pressed a few buttons and changed the HDMI to 1 and looked at (y/n). She shakily leaned forward and placed the disc in the DVD player that was right in front of her bed. She quickly jumped into Hitoshi’s arms. He pulled her into his chest relaxing as the two watched the screen like their life depended on it.
All might appeared and began to give his speech to the people who got in or didn’t.
“Young (y/n), your test score was excellent, your physical exam was even better, I want to welcome you to class 1-A!” she gasped and held her breath. She clung onto Hitoshi tighter. “Congratulations, (y/n) Aizawa!”
She quickly ejected the disc and let Hitoshi place his in. He paused before pressing play.
“My hero, I know you got in!” she brushed her hand through the side of his hair like a loving girlfriend would do. “A sidekick can’t go without her hero.”
He smiled down at her and placed a kiss on her forehead. “Okay,” he mumbled against her skin.
He pressed down on the play button and the same beginning appeared with All Might.
“Hitoshi Shinsou, your written test was outstanding! One hundred out of one hundred.” (y/n) shoved her face into his neck nuzzling as she couldn’t wait to congratulate him for making it into the same class. “The physical exam, you did great with support in which most of your points came from.”
He began to panic, if he only made support points that wouldn’t be enough to get him in.
“But it is not enough to place you in the Hero classes 1-A or 1-B. But congratulations, Hitoshi Shinsou for making it into U.A.’s General Studies!”
(y/n) froze and lifted her head up. Hitoshi seemed unfazed, but on the inside we were panicking. He had let (y/n) down.
“That's not fair,” she howled in anger at the only time she was ever angry was when something went wrong for Hitoshi, and this was one of those times. “I'm turning it down and going into General Studies with you.”
“Earthquake, it's okay.” he tried to reassure her that he wasn’t upset even if that was a lie. “Do it for me, we can reevaluate our plan.”
“But Hitoshi,” she mumbled looking at him with a sorrowful look written in her eyes, a frown framed her lips. It wasn’t a look he wanted to see on her face, he preferred it when he was happy.
“Where still in the same school just separate classes!” he smiled trying to act excited that the two made it into U.A.
“Your right, but I'll keep working hard to make sure you get into a hero class!” she said dedicated to getting her hero in the same class as her. “Uncle Yamada said he had a surprise for us, we should go check it out.”
She held her hand out for him to take as the two walked out of the room. Their hands stuck together like it was super glued and none of them could get free from the other.
In this very moment to (y/n), it felt like she had let her best friend down. She could remember those school days where she was constantly his support while people brought him down. She felt an anger erupt in her soul as she thought about one memory in particular:
“With a quirk like that boys, he could really be a villain.” One kid said as he whispered to his group of friends that watched (y/n) and Hitoshi interact with each other. “He probably has that girl brainwashed right now.”
Hitoshi flinched at their words, (y/n) knew that the only thing he wanted to do was prove people wrong and be a hero, he wanted to show the world that a quirk that may seem bad can be used for good.
“Leave him alone,” (y/n) stood in front of Hitoshi before she could stop the words that spilled out of her soft plump lips. “He is more of a hero then any of you will ever become, he’s my hero and none of you matter.”
Her words made the boys flinch and go back to minding their own business. (y/n) the bullying had never stopped. (y/n) could tell it was getting worse each day but Hitoshi never showed her that it bothered him.
“(y/n) ignore them,” His words erupted from deep within his chest. He was just hitting the end of his puberty, with her doing the same. The two were more buff in very different ways. (y/n) was starting to show curves in places that would get her attention from guys. Hitoshi was gaining that deep voice that would make (y/n) fall to her knees, along with more muscle as he grew taller than her.
It would be stupid to say if the two hadn’t noticed the changes in the others bodies and didn’t say they where attracted to one and another.
“Okay my hero,” she said with a flirtatious smile on her face, but she didn’t really do it on purpose. It was just the way her mind was changing at the moment. The way the two were changing together.
And change was what was continuing to happen. She would have to go to classes without him, only because she failed him.
“Oh here they come!” she could hear Uncle Yamada rummaging around as he squealed in excitement. “Congratulations to you guys!”
(y/n) looked at the man as he showed off a cake he had bought before he arrived. On it in neat letters where ‘congrats to Hitoshi and (y/n), welcome to the hero world!’, I only that where true.
“Thanks Uncle Yamada,” the two said and walked closer to the cake.
“But I have bad news,” Hitoshi clung to (y/n)’s hand. It was a coping mechanism for him. “But it comes along with two great pieces of news.”
Everybody could feel the shift of the mood, mostly coming from (y/n). This was the only time you could tell her father was Aizawa, because she acted like him when he got upset, even though Aizawa most of the time has the same stoic face in place. Everyone seemed to freeze, not sure where this could be going, but they trusted the kids that it would be something they could make it through.
“Good news is (y/n) made it into 1-A, and we both made it into U.A.,” the boy smiled and squeezed (y/n)’s hand to let her know he was proud even if she was upset. “The bad news is, that I didn’t make it into the same class or even the Hero course, I made it into General Studies.”
The air seemed to halt, it wasn't a great feeling, but it wasn’t bad. It was just surprising that the two didn’t make it in together, fate always put them together.
“We're still proud of you two for doing a good job and giving it your all,” Aizawa said, ruffling the two teenagers' hairs. “Who knows maybe something in the near future will change, fate has a way of keeping you two troubles together.”
“You can say that again, Shouta!” Shinsou’s dad said, cheering to that. At least they had faith that all would be good.
Cake began to pass around until everyone had a slice, once that was over (y/n) and Hitoshi rushed to the bedroom where they hung out until the late hours.
Mr. and Mrs. Shinsou had left two hours ago after they got done with a few rounds of card games, Uncle Yamada slipped over in the spare bedroom as Aizawa had to drag the oaf there.
“(y/n), Hitoshi, I'll be in my room if you need anything, sleep tight you two.” Aizawa didn’t trust the two in the beginning of their transformation into teenage hood to stay and have sleepovers like they used to, until Hitoshi proved that he was a well respectable boy. Now Aizowa and the Shinsou’s expected to have company each weekend as (y/n) and Hitoshi always slept over together. Heck Aizawa had bought and put together Hitoshi’s bed and decorated the other half for him for his thirteenth birthday a few years ago. The same for (y/n) was done at the Shinsou's for her thirteenth birthday. It was like both of their parents were on point and in the same brainwave swimming around passing ideas back and forth to each other.
Most of the time though, they liked to be cuddled into each other's arms and gained warmth from one and another.
“Hitoshi,” he hummed, acknowledging the fact that she was wanting his attention. With his one hand supporting his head he reached up with his other hand and brushed the hair out of her face. “I know it sounds so silly, and I know we made so many promises throughout the years, but with every promise I made you I promise to keep it.”
It was his turn to toy with her, make sure she was serious even though she knew she was.
“Even the marriage one,” she giggled as he smirked at her.
“Of course silly, I want to be married to my best friend and you're the only best friend I have.” she giggled even more, it was the most beautiful sound in Hitoshi’s ears. It was something he looked forward to hearing whenever he could make her laugh, in his eyes it was the best reward.
“I’m glad to hear that, I wouldn’t want it any other way.”
After that night things began to take a strain on their friendship, the parents could see this as well which led them to have a talk with their kids. They felt it would be better to do this separately so no harsh feelings would arise even more.
“I’m losing him, and If that happens, I-I don’t think I can be as happy as I used to be.” Aizawa could see the tears form in his daughter's eyes. As a parent it was hard to see your own kid suffer like she was this past week. He could only hold her close and tell her everything would be fine, even if it would never be the same for quite some time.
“We all in this household love him to death, even the cats.” he said trying to make her smile which to a fake it didn’t unless a fake smile counted. “Talk to him, don’t let him slip through your fingers, because you'll never get someone as good as him.”
She had to trust her dad, he was wise and went through similar things when he was a kid. She wiped the tears from her eyes and stayed on the couch with her father hugging him as she laid there resting from the day. It had been a busy one for the two of them, they had trained hard on the track today with the rest of the kids and the two were just glad to be off their feet. Aizawa had his hand lightly on her back as he slowly rubbed his thumb over her shoulder blades reassuringly like a parent would do, he had placed the TV on some news and watched till his heart's desire was bored of that.
“I think I’m gonna go call him, or something,” she said as she got up and walked quietly up the stairs. She was so off and it made Aizawa worry. Typically he would get a call from the other teachers complaining about the fact that when the 1-A kids had English with Present Mic, because he and (y/n) would scream and be joyful all the time like he was an idiot. But now the teachers called because they didn’t hear it anymore and worried about it. Many nights he would also get calls from the Shinsou's updating each other about the other side and what was going on, that's when they made the plan to take action. That's where they were at now.
“She’s going to be alright, right?” Yamada said as he shook out the umbrella he used to walk here with to protect his smooth hair from the rain.
“Yeah she will,” Aizawa said, having no doubt that his daughter would make it back to her bubbly self.
(y/n) on the other hand was doubting she would be the same.
“Hitoshi, pick up.” she mumbled into her phone leaving a message. “Or come over as soon as possible! It’s time for our daily meetup slash call.”
She put on a fake cheery voice to make it seem she was okay hoping she wouldn’t worry Hitoshi even though she felt he didn’t care.
She waited patiently for an hour only to hear a knock on her door. She quickly walked over and opened it up, she came to face with the person she was in need of. Hitoshi stood there lifeless and ready to go back home so he could hide his jealousy of her and her stupid 1-A class he wished he could be in with her.
She hugged him tightly and nudged his cheek with her nose as a sign of affection she always gave him, he would typically return both things but tonight it didn’t seem to be happening.
“Can we talk,” she mumbled looking down at her feet.
He cleared his throat and looked down at his feet as well. He felt the uncomfortableness in the air, it was rather frightening to see how friends could fall apart this easily.
“Yeah, that would be good.” he said and sat down on his bed as she shut the door and sat on her side of the room.
The two sat in the awkward silence as tension grew between the pair.
“Um well,” (y/n) stumbled on her words. “Will you be at the U.A Sports Festival to cheer me on?”
Her question seemed to be the only thing she could ask. She was in such a moment that she wished for him to be there so she could make him proud and show him that this hard work was for him.
“Uh, I can’t actually make it, I’ll be hanging out with my new friends.” he brushed her off quickly making her heart sink.
“Oh that's okay,” she said quietly. “Would you want to hangout tomorrow night with me.”
She already knew the answer, but she was testing him.
“Sorry I’ll be with my new friends as well.” she said brushing her off again for the fifth time this week and it was only Monday.
She sighed and glared at the boy who only seemed to do the same thing to her.
“Why are you avoiding me all the sudden, you no longer call, I have to call you. You walk away from me when I see you at school and come to talk to you, are you pushing me away for some reason?” she was frustrated as tears began to prick at her eyes but she held them back. “Tell me what I did so I can fix it!”
“You can fix what you already did!” he grumbled now pissed off by the fact that she couldn’t make this any easy on him, he wanted things to be the same, but his mind got in the way. She had that green haired boy and that white and red haired boy with her all the time, she had that girl hang around her everyday. He was jealous of the fact that they were taking his time with (y/n) away from him. He never got to see her as much as he used to and it took a toll on him.
“I can if you let me!” she said flinching from his harsh words which made him ache on the inside.
“Oh, so you can stop bragging about those stupid best friends you made in your hero class, or how great the hero course is.” it was like his brain wasn’t in charge anymore, it was more his gums flapping about anything he could blame her for. “The only reason you got in there was because of your father, who teaches in the hero course!”
She gasped and threw her stuffed animal that laid beside her at his face.
“So all those promises and late night conversations mean nothing to you anymore?” she questioned upset with the way he was acting.
“No, you have new friends who seem to make up for me.” He hissed and stood up on his feet. “That green haired boy seems to be really close with you, I think you'll be fine without me. Why don’t you go and make those same promises to that kid, I'm sure he would marry and plan the rest of his life with you. Though hopefully he wakes up just in time like I did, before you fall head over heels for your best friend, only to find they don’t care about you enough to ask you how your classes were. Only for them to talk about how great those new friends are and just how well she's improving and making it to number one.”
He paused and held back the rest of the raw emotions he was holding in and tried to gain control over his actions only to fail at it horribly and to begin verbally ripping her apart again.
“To watch your dreams of being with her diminish as another person gains all of her attention. Only to find yourself heart broken and understanding why you only had one friend because your fears came true, only because she let them come true.”
She felt the tears rush down her face and the silent sobs wracked her body. She was devastated that he felt that way, that she caused this.
“Hitoshi please, I just wanted to make you proud, to show you that I can do it for you.” She cried trying to stop him before he fled out of her life for good.
“Oh save it, it’s all a lie so I can come crawling back to you like I did for the past sixteen years of my life.” He said as he watched her face turn red from the amount she was gasping for air as her sobs infiltrated the room and racked her body. “I'm not as stupid and madly in love like I use to be, I’m no longer blinded. I wasted so many years hoping I could find happiness with you and here I am.”
(y/n) only stared at the floor as she listened and tried to calm herself down. She was ashamed of him for thinking such things, but this is what happens when friendships break.
“I'm done, don’t ever bother me again.” Hitoshi walked out of the room now fully knowing his gut was telling him he did wrong, but he shouldn’t have to suffer like that.
“N-no, Hitoshi, d-don't, please.'' She couldn't make out words as she watched him leave her all alone in her room that once gave her happy memories, which was now tainted by the only memory she had of him walking out of her life. “Hitoshi!”

_____________________________________________
(y/n) quickly wiped the tears that surfaced from her tear ducts, she was obviously in lots of pain. Not physical pain but more along the lines of mental pain. Over the past years she had grown to love the bad attitude of her best friend. She had fallen more and more in love with him as the days went on, but it only seemed to get her hurt.
She soon fell ill to the words that her mind began to create about the scenario.
“He’ll never love someone like you back,” this was what her mind would always argue, every single night. “What an idiot for thinking Katsuki Bakugo could ever love you.”
She reached for her phone and her finger glided over the screen until she found the contact she was looking for.
“Kirishima, please pick up.” she mumbled quietly into the phone as her hand reached up into her hair brushing it back from her tear stained face.
“(y/n)?” she could hear the grogginess in the red head's voice. What time was it even? “Why are you calling me at three in the morning?”
Oh?
“I’m sorry Kirishima, I just needed someone to talk to and you're the only one I felt comfortable with.” she was quick to apologize about being a burden to the rock hero. “My roommate is gone, a-and I just need someone to comfort me!”
She broke down in sobs that seemed to make the red head pause and try to figure out what had made his friend so easily upset.
“What happened, I'll be over as soon as possible!” she was glad her friend was quick to make her feel better, but the idea that she was a burden still burned into her mind. “Is Bakugo home? Do I need to call him?”
“Please don’t call him!” she quickly sputtered into the phone. “If I am being c-completely honest, he’s the reason I am so upset.”
“Well hold on tight, okay.” She felt relieved when he gave up the idea to call the charming, angry blond. “I'll be over in five minutes.”
“Thanks, Kiri,” she whispered as she wiped more tears off of her face. She pulled a chair and looked down at the bright lights that covered the city. It reminded her of the first night Bakugo and her moved in together.
“What are you doing?” she could hear the male call out to her as he walked around behind her packing things up to put in the attic that they didn’t have room for. “You gonna look out that window all night?”
“S-sorry, Katsuki, it’s just,” she paused and shook her head. “You're gonna make fun of me.”
The blond snickered and sat the boxes down and picked dust off of his black tank top.
“I always make fun of you, that just shows that I care about you.” she watched as he smirked at the (h/c) haired woman who watched the man with a heavy blush and a shy look.
“Fine,” she sighed and let a smile cover her face. “It’s just, I never ever in my whole entire life see anything as beautiful as the city lit up.”
“Your silly,” the man howled with laughter. She was taken back by his reaction, but even more surprised when he stood beside her leaning over her with his hand on the wall as a brace for support. “There are so many more breathtaking views out there and you pick this one as the best.”
His laughter was loud and she was pretty sure her neighbors could hear his cackling.
“Katsuki!” she hid her face in her hands and died of embarrassment.
“Don’t Katsuki me, sunshine.” He said with a big smile on his face. It was rare for the man to smile. “Look in the mirror one day, that's the prettiest thing I ever saw, good thing I live with it.”
She blushed even harder at his words and slapped his shoulder.
“Stop being a flirt, Mister Bakugo.” she once again listened to his deep cackling the reverberated from deep within his chest.
“Okay, brat.” he said walking away and finding those boxes once again. “But what I said isn’t a lie.”
She knew better than to believe him whenever he flirted with her, she had a feeling it never meant a thing. But, Oh was she so wrong! The man was infatuated with her. If he wasn’t he wouldn’t show such a soft side with her.
“(y/n), it's me Kiri.” she jolted up from her spot in her seat and quickly opened the door. She rushed into the red heads' arms and started to cry on spot.
“H-he’s been going out more often, coming home drunk, smells like cheap perfume and all other things.” she sobbed into his shoulder making the man slowly pull her in her own home and shut the door. She was suffering because of her roommate and he could tell that. He hugged her close and pulled her down onto the couch where he clung to her and brushed her hair out of her face repeatedly. “I-I love him so much and I wish he would just realize that.”
“He does, you should see the way that man keeps an eye on you when you are in public,” Kirishima quickly said as he coddled her closer. “He just hides it because he doesn’t want to hurt someone as fragile as you. He can’t ever keep his eye off of you.”
She froze and thought about it or a second only to get beaten up by the words being shoved into her mind.
“Don’t fall for that, you’ll only get your heart broken.” she gasped and clung to the man's shirt tighter.
“You’re lying, he’s probably out with some other girl right now.'' She quickly glanced up at Kirishima who was obviously worried for his friends health at the moment. She wasn’t in the best shape and this happened at least twice a week. “He always comes home late anymore, then when he does, he’s so out of it because of the alcohol he drank hours before. Then he takes anything and everything out on me.”
“What?” Kirishima was taken back by the last few sentences.
“He comes home in a rampage, wakes me up when he finds the dishes still in the sink, a book I left out that night, one little piece of paper I threw at the garbage can thinking I made it in, but didn’t.” she felt her body slip into the state of numbness that she has felt this whole month since this started. “Tonight, hell, he’ll probably see you here and get all pissed. He is changing and I don’t know why, or how to help him.”
Kirishima didn’t realize this was what was going on, he just figured those nights she called and he came over was just because of what seemed to be unrequited love, even if he knew otherwise. But now since he got the whole picture he realized why she pushed him out quickly when she saw the time and how late it was.
“Well, we take care of mister grumpy pants tonight then,” he smiled down at her trying to calm her down. “And we take care of it for good, no more suffering for the two of you.”
They sat in silence waiting for five o’clock in the morning to roll around. That was the time he typically appeared, sometimes earlier and sometimes even later. Her sobs had finally relaxed, she had relaxed enough to fall asleep in her friends arms. He could tell she hadn’t slept in long amounts of periods for long times. That's what probably made her so sensitive along with her already sensitive and quiet temperament.
(y/n) was so tired she didn’t even hear the door of her and Bakugo's apartment slam open as her drunk roommate walked in stumbling and slurring as he looked at his friend.
“What are you doing here?” his words were icy from the hate he seemed to be surrounded in at the moment.
“Oh, (y/n) called me crying.” Kirishima said waiting for any rising information he would get from Katsuki only to receive none. “You have her worried she hardly gets any sleep anymore.”
“Me, she shouldn’t worry about me.” the man hissed as he spotted to see how clean the apartment was.
“Man, don’t you see?” Kirishima was finally tired of his friend's blindness to (y/n)’s feelings.
“See what, dipshit!” he seethed as he saw what position the two adults were in. “All I see is you touching my property like she's yours.”
“(y/n) is not property, she is still a human being.” Kirishima was quick to defend her from a drunk Bakugo. “And you need to realize she worries so much about you because she is in love with you.”
“Don’t tell me how she feels, she hides from me anymore.” His words burned off the tip of his tongue, it made the now awake (y/n) who had been hiding in Kirishima's chest for four minutes slightly shake in fear. “And it’s the last time I tell you, don’t touch my property.”
She jolted up with rage in her puffy tear stained eyes. It made the man wake up a bit and realize how fowl he was being to her.
“I am not your property, Mister Bakugo!” she was upset and stood up with rage behind each motion. “I don’t want to hear a single word from a man who can claim a woman as his property, but not even stay true to her and not smell like other women who gets off at the sight of weak men who hide behind strong backgrounds.” she rushed off into her bedroom locking the door and tossing a hoodie off her head that belonged to Bakugo. She threw herself onto the bed and listened to the argument that enfolded outside of her four walls.
“Look what she did,” Bakugo screamed at his best friend. “All because of you!”
“Me, you need a reality check.” she felt more tears surface as she released the two never fought and this was the first time they fought. “She loves you so much, but now she sees what you really are, as well as me, man.”
“Don’t act like you know me,” Katsuki hollered at the top of his lungs. “She is the only thing on my mind. I can’t think straight because of her, she is the first thing I think of and the last thing I think of. She plagues my dreams in the most loving way, making my reality seem so far off even though I realized or thought I could never have her. She's the light in the tunnel when things get dark, she’s always been that.”
“Well you need to make that up with her” Kirishima said much more calmly as he realized Bakugo himself was sobbing. “Hiding your feelings with other girls only broke her heart.”
“I lost her, and I can’t seem to find my way back.” Katsuki said making (y/n) nuzzle her face into the collar of his stolen hoodie. She felt her body shake as the man she loved was behind her closed door breaking.
“You haven’t lost her, if you did then she wouldn’t stay up all night crying over you and calling me.” Kirishima slammed the door shut and was gone out of the apartment with his last words to the broken blond who rarely ever showed this side.
(y/n) closed her eyes and turned to face the window, her eyes locked with the colors of the buildings and signs as she tried to find comfort that night. She could hear Bakugo crying in the living room as he crumbled from his throne of what may only seem to be thorns. He broke which made her far beyond repairable. She couldn’t sleep that night and nor was Bakugo able to, or so they thought. They were tired from the tears they shed, that the two fell asleep with tears still seeping from their eyes, exhausted from the heartbreak and the moments that just surpassed them as the worst moments in their lives.
When (y/n) woke up the next day, she was hardly even able to see. Her eyes were blurry from the tears she never stopped shedding. Her head pounded and she wasn’t even the one who was drunk. Her stomach seemed to swirl and at the same time digest itself, but she knew it was only fear when she stepped out of her closet in the room. She sighed and pulled on some shorts after she threw her PJ bottoms onto her bed. She kept the hoodie on as a thing of comfort even if she was afraid of the man it smelled like.
She slowly swung the door open to see the man sprawled out on the floor with the look of pain on his face just right before the door. As if he was crawling to her room and passed out half way there from either the alcohol or the crying that left him exhausted.
She thought long and hard on what to do in this situation, she could let him suffer like she had been doing since all of this started, or she could be a decent human being like she always was and drag him as best as she could to the couch.
“Oh Katsuki,” she mumbled as her eyes seemed to still have some tears left, but she quickly gulped and held them in. she quickly heaved his body up and tried to drag him to the couch. Her quirk wasn’t of any use at the moment, so she was doing this all by the little strength she had. She was able to lean him against the couch but that was as far as she could get, she shook him slightly watching as his fiery red eyes fluttered open just enough for him to realize he was looking at her and it wasn’t a dream. She was right in front of him looking like a goddess trying to help him even if he hurt her.
“Come on,” she tugged on his arm trying to give him the hint to move to the couch where it will be comfier. “You’ll be even more sore and sick if you sleep on the floor. The couch is much comfier.”
Her words were dull, and dead sounding. It made Katsuki fear that he had broken her beyond repair, he ached even more as he stood up but his mind could only seem to worry about her. His fragile little goddess that kept him glued together and he took advantage of her.
“(y/n),” she paused after she got him on the couch. Her heart shattered as she could still hear the wavering sadness in his voice. He really was vulnerable right now.
“Shh, Katsuki, rest.” she said brushing her hand through his soft spiky locks. She walked away quietly from the already sleeping man, that was quick. She reached up into the cupboard and grabbed out a bottle of Ibuprofen, she knew he would need it. She grabbed a cup from the dishwasher that she had run last night and filled it up with water. She placed it down on the coffee table and waited for him to awake. She sat on the window seat and looked out at the city as people rushed around going to work or just out for a Sunday stroll. She felt like she was an ant just like them, living for a wasted relationship she could only dream of.
“(Y/n),” she heard the male groan as he shuffled over to her little seat he had built her a few years back. She looked back to see the still full glass of water and shut the bottle of pain medication untouched by the man who seemed to slowly make his way to her.
“Katsuki, you should be resting.” she said watching as the man plopped down beside her.
“Stop with the resting, we both know I won’t be able to rest until I make things right.” she could hear the brokenness in his voice. She could hear his shattering cry for help.
“I'm so sorry!” she felt the tears seep from her eyes as she broke in front of the man. She didn’t want to break so soon, but he left her with no option with the way he was making her feel.
“You shouldn’t be the one apologizing,” he wasn’t cold like he was last night, he was soft and let go of his dominant aura. “I'm the jackass who broke your heart. Left you here to spend the nights crying and worrying only to come home and take everything out on you. I'm the jackass who broke you.”
She crumbled and fell into his arms, her head resting in the cook of his neck as she tried to hold in the many sobs that were spilling from her lips. She felt his arms wrapped around hers tightly as he pulled her into his lap leaving her to straddle his one leg that rested on the window seat. She held onto him tightly as he did the same to her.
“How could I ever make this up to you baby,” she fell into a silence as she listened to every word that slipped past his lips. “I was an asshole, from the past month, only because I feared you would reject me if I asked you out. I broke the only thing I loved because of my own self worries and doubts.”
“Katsuki Bakugo!” she huffed and pulled her tear stained face from the crook of his neck. “You're not the only one to blame here! I made mistakes as well, and to make this up to one and another, let's stop breaking each other's hearts and just deal with the fact that we can’t hide our feelings from each other anymore.”
He was taken back by her boldness, she was serious about every word she said as she clung to his face with one and hand and cupped his cheek with the other. He leaned forward and placed his nose on her own nose.
“Then do me the honor and be my girlfriend or something!” the man grumbled, flustered by her actions, fully knowing he was still wrapped tightly around her fingers.
She giggled and wiped away a few tears leaving a few behind that were still falling.
“Of course prince charming,” she nuzzled her nose against his, making him follow suit.
“Good now let's go back to bed, my head is killing me.” he said brushing his lips against her own as he picked her up and slowly trudged into his bedroom.
“Shouldn’t you be used to it by now, you have been doing this for a month.”
“Princess, there are so many ways I can make you regret that snide comment,” he smirked at her, leaving the girl a blushing mess.
“Katsuki Bakugo, you wouldn’t dare.” she hollered as he plopped her down on the bed and followed her actions cuddling into her.
“Misses Bakugo, I would.”
She giggled and let her hands rest in his hair as she looked into his tired eyes.
“I love you,” she whispered with all seriousness. Her face inched closer to the blond as he followed in suit.
“I love you too, princess.” he told her before he brushed his lips onto her own leaving a few passionate kisses on her lips “I always have and always will.”

_____________________________________________
Spending the nights alone was what (y/n) typically did. Her family lived in America, the place she was born. So she was quite a bit far away from them. Most of the time she just kept to herself, she never made friends. She was just strictly here to do a job and when that was done she would be back home with her family like she should be. She signed and stepped foot into the school full of kids who wished to use their quirks for good, U.A. She waved to Toshinori who was in his weaker form hiding from the kids.
“Already a long day?” she asked the man who laughed a little bit as he brushed his bangs back a bit.
“Yeah, sadly.” His smile was still strong which made the young woman wish for better days. “But anymore it’s been bad.”
“We can only hope the better days will arrive soon!” She faked a smile and waved goodbye to the man. She walked down the hall to see kids running around and joking around. Each one seemed to not be worried about the world that was growing cold and dangerous. She hoped it stayed like that for them for quite some time.
She stepped into her classroom. The smell of her lavender she planted on the window seal made her take a deep breath in. It brought her back to her childhood when she would always help her mother tend to her lavender garden. She could remember the long days of being in the field and coming back with the smell sticking to her. She remembered her dad joking about the fact that soon she would turn into the plant itself.
She missed them so dearly.
“I see you're here already,” she turned around, her lips slightly parted as if she was about to yelp at the scare. “Didn’t mean to scare you.”
“Good morning, Aizawa.” she smiled at him and watched him lean onto a desk. “I see you seem just as tired as usual. When are you ever going to get a good night of rest?”
“When you start making friends.” her smile broke and slid into a frown.
“I'm friends with Toshinori,” she paused and thought about other people she might be friends with. “And, You.”
“Wow, I think you deserve a medal.”
“Really?”
“Yes, not for participation, for failing at making friends.” Aizawa crossed his arms over his chest and stared deeply into the woman's eyes. “Todoroki did better than you.”
“It seems you may be right,” she shook her head and placed her bag behind her chair. “But you do realize I only have about a year left. I go home out of all of these kids' lives to begin my own once again. Taking over my family's business, the lavender farm. I don’t see any sense in getting any closer to people who I have less time to spend with and who will probably forget me.”
“That doesn’t mean you leave them behind forever, we have phones.” He glared at the woman who was just trying to make up excuses.
The two watched as kids began to filter in, she glanced at the man.
“I believe I was saved by the bell.” She smirked at the man who rolled his eyes. “Aizawa, we’ll talk about this later.”
She could hear the tired man grumble as he stalked off while grabbing his sleeping bag he must have hid in her room.
She knew this fight wasn’t over, but she was willing to fight it later when she could come up with better reasons as to why she should never make friends.
“All right class, let's get started.” She clapped her hands together, gaining most of the kids attention. “Today lets touch base on a much deeper topic.”
She glanced around the classroom. Waiting for a hand to raise in the crowd of her favorite class.
“I see where it's quiet now,” she chuckled and stopped leaning on her desk. “Todo, give me something that confuses you, something deep.”
The boy paused and thought long and hard. She could see the hard work he was putting into a topic.
“How about we go with a simple topic,” she giggled and walked to the chalkboard. She picked up a piece of chalk and wrote on the board. “The world. Why do we associate the world with a deepness? Meaning, it always is a deep conversation.”
“Could it be because the world deals with a bunch of things, with lots of other meanings.” Todoroki said as he looked at the woman who stood beside the world.
“Exactly, great job!” She said in a happy manner. “The world could be the thing we stand on, the ground we walk on. It could be the person we admire and believe they are the world in our eyes. My world deals with taking care of people, but along with that my family.”
“So like the idea of giving your family a better life?” Uraraka asked as she glanced at the woman.
“Yes, family is the bond that is bound by blood, but remember not all families are bound by blood. As much as that contradicts itself it is true.” she paused and thought for a second. “Family can be your friends, the people you call your closets, the ones who have your back and are beside you as times are rough.”
“So you're saying each of us in this class is a family?” Ida said she was confused by the concept of family not being blood all the time.
“Yes, family could be Izuku and Uraraka, and so many other people in this class you consider close,” she ignored the fact that most of the staff walked into the room with sad looks on their faces. “Family is a bond that is unbreakable.”
“Miss (l/n), we need to talk.” She watched as principal Nezu stepped forward slowly as if he was sad about a piece of information that could relate to anyone in this room.
“Do you need me or somebody else?” She was confused by the fact that they never came in groups and here they were most of the teachers who weren't teaching in this period.
“You, and you may want to step out for this information.” she paused and thought for a second.
“No, I think I should be surrounded by people who I consider family for whatever information you have for me.” she stood up straighter.
“You should really take this outside,” Aizawa said as he tried to usher her out.
“Didn’t we have a talk about this before the period.” she seemed to be as stubborn as usual. “I think I found my family, the ones I made before I leave home.”
“You're so stubborn,” he grumbled.
“If you wish,” Principle Nezu said as bowed down as an apology for the next bit of information that was about to spit out.
The air began to turn into one suffocating. She could feel the tension, it was able to be cut by a knife.
“Get it over with,” she said mumbled and stumbled on her words. “Just say what you need to say.”
“Your family, they were killed.” Principle Nezu spit out and gave his best apologies as if it was his fault.
“W-what,” she stumbled on her words, she could feel her breath hitch and a storm roll in from her quirk. “M-my parents, how about my siblings?”
“All have been murdered.” Nezu said as he stepped back a bit watching her eyes turn a bright yellow.
She felt the stream of tears race down her face to see which one touched the ground the quickest. Her world started to spin but she grounded herself against the desk  behind her as a loud roar of thunder shook the building from her upset emotions.
“Take as much time as you need,” Nezu said as he walked out with a few of the staff members. Toshinori and Aizawa stood still watching their friend stand in unsteady feet. Her quirk had made the ground shake every once in a while as a strike of lighting hit the ground below.
“Class, let’s continue.” She said surprising the two other teachers.
“Are you going to continue to teach?” Aizawa was surprised by her actions. Just a minute ago she was out of control with her quirk and here she was standing with shaking legs.
“I'm sorry for your loss, Miss (l/n).” Toshinori said as he stepped out of the room in his mighty form. “If you need anything let me know.”
She smiled at the man and thanked him. As for Aizawa she just stared.
“Your being stupid, you can go home and take care of things.” He stepped forward clearly upset by her actions. “You don;t have to continue to work to hide how you feel.”
She held her hand up, silencing him quickly.
“Class, the world is a suffocating place. It will break you down, and bend you till you wilt just as it wishes.'' She took a deep breath in which was shaky. “Don’t let life beat you down, keep getting up to fight it, class is dismissed.”
She watched as the students frantically wiped their eyes and looked down at the ground as they exited the room. One on the other hand stayed put. She looked up to see a frowning Todoroki.
“Todo, you can leave silly boy,” she tried to fake a smile. Aizawa moved beside her and leaned on the desk looking at the boy in curiosity. He knew the two had grown close over the first year, she just never told him about that friendship. Maybe it was because she related to him a lot, but she would most likely never say.
“But in times of need, family is with you at all times.”he stood up his hands clenching on the desk. “I can’t leave you here knowing that in a time of need you needed me.”
“Oh, Todo.” she felt her lip quiver. She was taken back by his words. “You don’t know how much that means to me, it’s been a long time since I last saw my family. But I made family here, until I could go back home, but it very much seems there is no longer home in America for me.”
“Then stay here, Your new family is here!” Todoroki said he was afraid of losing someone he looked up to.
“I'll think about, now go enjoy the rest of your day.” she said watching as the boy waved his goodbye and exited the classroom.
She let her shoulders sink as if she was finally able to relax after taking guard. She felt her heart clench in pain, the way her eyes began to blur up as tears began to escape from them. She held in the sniffles that tried to escape from her lips.
“You can let your guard down.” she paused and tried to continue her tears.
“I would assume I have to go home and deal with other things, I don’t know when ill come back if I do come back.”
“We can worry about that later,” she gasped and looked at the man beside her. More tears slipped out of her eyes as she sobbed. She felt the usually grumpy man pull her close and comfort her the best he could. He had understood how cruel the world was a long time ago. But it wasn’t him who had to learn. At this moment, it was her. The woman he had begun to love, had to learn that the world was hell and that was all it was.
“We?” She asked, lifting her head up from the slouching position. Tears still flowed freely from her eyes, which were now red and blotchy.
“Yes we,” he looked at her with a slight closed lip smile spreading itself into his face. It was unusual for the man but (y/n) had loved it. “You think I’m going to let you go through this on your own.”
“I should have known better than that,” she quietly chuckled and leaned her head on the sturdy man. He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her closer.
“You're an idiot, to think I would make you board a plane back to America without me.”
“I'm your Idiot,” she mumbled, closing her eyes from the tiredness that her emotions had brought her.
“Yeah, you are my idiot.” he swooped down and kissed the top of her hair. Soon tomorrow they would both be on a plane, (y/n) just couldn't wait to return and this would be all over with.
“Thank you, Shouta.” She pulled her head from the man's chest and glanced into his tired eyes. “I don’t know where I would be without you.”
“Hmm,” he mumbled leaning down closer to her lips. She lifted up and brushed her own lips on his.
“You better not be playing me,” he grumbled, breaking away making (y/n) look at him in disbelief.
“Shouta Aizawa! You moron!” The man grabbed his sleeping bag while chuckling, his feet drug him right out the door where she could still hear his laughter, which was unusual for the man. “You're lucky I actually love you, Aizawa!”
