I found a cool old book in our doctors room, ‘Blakiston’s illustrated pocket medical dictionary’ from 1952. I love this sort of traditionally painted medical art! Does anyone else want to see more of this in today’s medicine?

I’m deathly afraid that when I publish Pearl, no one will buy it.
Is this a silly fear? Probably. A few of you have sent asks just to tell me you can’t wait for it to come out, and many of my beta readers have already decided to purchase multiple copies.
But brains are dumb little goblins.
I guess what I’m trying to say is, if you have these fears too, you’re not alone. None of us are. Writing is a scary business, but we shouldn’t let that dictate whether we do it and enjoy it and try to share our stories with the world.
Because I don’t know if I’ll manage to sell many copies of Pearl. But the only way to know for certainly that I won’t is to never publish it.
