I am a princess. All girls are! Even if they live in tiny old attics, even if they dress in rags, even if they aren’t pretty, or smart, or young, they’re still princesses - all of us!

Every year people don’t miss a chance to talk about Alfonso Cuarón’s achivements, because he is an incredibly talented person. I could write thousands of words, talking about him, the way he thinks and every funny situation which seems could happen only to this guy. And I could add scores of pages about his outstanding directing. But let’s leave it for the rest days in year and let’s just enjoy the present moment, like characters in Y tu mamá también did, and like he does. And let’s be a little bit selfish and wish us to see a new triumph with his new project.
Today is the perfect day to celebrate the life itself. Happy Birthday, Alfonso.

Alfonso is back to filming. I am pretty sure you have already heard this terrible story with the attack on his crew in Mexico City, so I will not post it here.

RIP, Alan.
Alan and Alfonso met a long time before the shooting of Harry Potter. It was in 1993. Alfonso just presented his first big screen movie (Sólo Con Tu Pareja) at Toronto Film Festival and got a chance to approve himself in USA.
Alfonso had an offer to work on one episode of tv-series “Fallen Angels” (the name of the episode is "Murder, Obliquely"). Besides him there were such movie directors as Steven Soderbergh, Peter Bogdanovich and Tom Hanks.
Alfonso was out of his depth: “The first day of the shoot, I was paralyzed with fear, and it was a total disaster.” But he spoke with his leading actor and then Alfonso insisted on repeating the first day’s schedule and managed to get back on track.
That actor was Alan Rickman. Alfonso said he saved his life.
I dont like to take a guess, but could Cuaron become who he is now if he failed during that shooting? Anyway Alan didnt only play in two of his projects, he also played a big role in Alfonso’s life.
RIP, Alan.
P.S. sorry for mistakes if they take place, I am not a native speaker, but I felt like telling all of this.

And the best motion picture is... THE REVENANT!!!
I am so so happy for our mexican outstanding talented guys!
It is a third time in a row when I feel so proud of mexican movie directors. Alfonso was the first, and then Iñarritu and Chivo worked that hard to create those masterpieces.
And it is amazing to see Bernal on the same stage.
Congratulations to any mexican who is reading it or anyone who loves those people as much as I do.
It is truly amazing/inspiring/incredible/omg how much I love them!
