Is it just me or is it just so annoying when people keep babying characters in Arcane?

Like I’m sorry but no… These characters aren’t little beans who do no wrong and we can’t keep justifying their actions. They are human just like us, they make mistakes, do bad things, make bad decisions… Arcane isn’t about what’s bad and good, but I’m not afraid to say that characters like Jinx, Caitlyn, Maddie, etc have done not cool things.

This is coming from a huge Maddie fan, she’s my favorite. But it does not mean I justify her actions, nor do I baby her.

No characters are bad characters in Arcane, I don’t hate any character and they are all so cool. I honestly don’t get why people constantly attack each other for what characters they do and don’t like. ☹️

Uhm, do you hear yourself? It’s like saying “I hate Jinx bc she’s from Zaun.”🤨

“B-b-but the Noxians are bad people! They just take over other countries and blah blah blah—”

That’s called racism guys!!! It’s equivalent to saying “I hate people from (country) and of (this race) because these people are just bad and they do x, y and z!!” 😨

And idc what ppl say abt this. It’s racism in the Arcane universe bc… DUH! Hating on a different ethnicity, race and country isn’t cute. And also isn’t a valid reason to hate Maddie. (In my opinion)

Maddie received hate even BEFORE she’s revealed to be a spy—just because she slept with Cait. I personally don’t get why people hate her solely for that… Anywayssss, moving on.

Before anyone says “but Maddie did—” yeah I know! I get why people hate her, and it’s harder for others who don’t like her to understand her character due to the lack of character development and backstory. So yeah, I do not justify her actions, but Maddie is a good character and has a good design that I rlly like. And it’s okay for people to like villain characters!

I personally just am neutral when it comes to all the hate on characters in arcane. I like them all, I don’t hate any characters. Being a Jinx, Vi, Cait AND Maddie lover at the same time is exhausting LMAOOO

Just got off YouTube after watching the Live on Saberspark’s YT channel with the Arcane va’s! It was lovely to watch—but I have things to say, because Maddie was talked about a few times~

The voice actor for Caitlyn, Katie Leung, said this: “You know, I like Maddie, she’s great. I think she’s a very smart girl, she’s a smart cookie. I don’t feel like she’s a home wrecker, I think there was more to it.” (This was legit said I have a recording of the live)

I think it’s cool that the VA for Caitlyn likes Maddie—sure she’s friends with Katy Townsend so she likes the characters she plays, but she likes Maddie instead of hating her—and also believes there is more to Maddie than what was shown in her short screen time.
