is it possible to be bpd without having a favorite person?
i think it is possible. everyone with the disorder has a different experience. although, attachment issues and splitting is pretty integral to the disorder.

NPD related question, I see the abbreviation "EP" used a lot but don't know what it means so, what does it mean???
that would be your equal person. that is someone that you view as your equal (not less or above). some people also use the term exception.

there is nothing worse than when you’re accused of being a shit person because people have a false idea in their head of who you are…

what are some symptoms/things that happen when you have bpd? /gen
the main thing about bpd is the fear of abandonment. it can cause you to have a “favorite person” that influences your mood and emotional regulation. this in turn can cause you to cling to the person or leave them before they leave you. you can have suicidal ideation and feelings of emptiness. there’s also the possibility of psychosis like symptoms (paranoia and hallucinations when under stress). there is also the possibility of having anger issues, especially when “splitting”. splitting is when you see things as all black and white and i believe i went over it in a previous ask. there is probably other symptoms that i haven’t mentioned that i can’t remember off of the top of my head. regardless, everyone experiences bpd differently.

I'm not diagnosed but I do exhibit certain traits and-
Is it always normal to want to say and act in certain ways that you know will hurt someone you love even if they've done nothing wrong and the thought of them being hurt is kinda satisfying to you but then immediately feel awful because 'Gosh, that's your friend. Why would you do that'?
this is very common i think with people even if it isn’t a cluster b thing. we all get frustrated and want to seek revenge at times. although my perspective may be skewed and maybe this isn’t normal? the part about wanting to hurt people just because sounds disordered but if you feel slighted it may be normal. but also… even feeling slighted can be a disordered thing depending on what the trigger was.

Question about bpd, what is splitting?
it’s basically when we think of things in black and white or all good and bad. i can idealize my partner one day and the next day split and devalue them in my head. there is usually a trigger for splitting in my experience.

im too young to be professionally diagnosed with bpd, but i have. so many tendencies. i feel like i should just ask, would it be wrong of me to label myself as borderline because of that?
if you think that you have bpd “tendencies” then you can label yourself as having bpd traits. if you’re younger than 16 especially, i believe you definitely have time to get better and that labeling yourself might do more harm than good because the label could become an identity that you latch onto that prevents you from getting better if that makes sense.

one of the worst symptoms of bpd for me is the chest pains. sometimes they’re completely random and sometimes they’re triggered. i feel so empty and other times it feels like some heavy weights are on my chest. it hurts to even exist. nothing makes it go away and all i can do is ride the wave until it’s bearable again.

yes, some of us with aspd can feel fear, depression, anxiety, love, pain, happiness etc. and some of us can’t or it’s very blunted. it’s a spectrum but regardless we are still human.

the worst part about not having empathy (for me) is knowing i’m different. i hate “humanity” because of how sick most people are… but the ones that are “good”? i’m so envious. i wish i was like you. why did i have to go through what i did… just to end up like this?
